Second seidio. I have it and it's fantastic. Power button is easy to reach and the volume buttons aren't covered. The biggest problem would be removing it the first few times. Once you've popped it on and off a few times it's very easy to remove.

Is the seidio covering the power button and blocking IR?

its pretty pricey the seidio. but love the design. wish it were cheaper to order and get shipped to Australia.

Agreed. Seidio Surface with kickstand is awesome. If you use a holster Seidio's are the best. The clip does not break, unlike others. Expensive, sadly.

Does anyone know whatever happened to that official HTC kickstand case they showed off with the One when it was unveiled; they showed the Double Dip case, the Double Dip Flip, that battery charger pack, the car dock, and this mystery case, which is the only one of those items that hasn't come out.

Compatible Cases?

Are there any compatible cases with this phone? Like the Desire HD case? I know it's basically a US port of one of those European HTCs...
I got a clamshell case from the VZ store with my purchase. Black with a textured surface. Its exactly the same as the one I had for my Incredible. Has a belt holster/clip. Very nice.

Which case are you referring to? The Desire one I mentioned? Can you link me to the one you're using on your TB?
I got the Innocase combo from Seidio. I was a bit wary after the POS they released for the OGDroid but this one is pretty nice. It's a two piece combo that slides 'over' the phone (from top and from bottom) and 'clicks' securely shut. No fit issues, kickstand is fully functional and all the wholes are there (i.e. two mic wholes ect.). I particularly wanted 'screen-in' holster and it's all working great.

Best bumper case for S3?

Hey guys, I'm looking for a good bumper case. I did a search but havent read much on the forums here. A quick ebay search brings up many options, and I was wondering if anyone has a particular one they like. I've looked at the draco bumper case, but I'm not spending 70$ for a case.
I would prefer a pretty solid feeling bumper that hopefully has a little better grip than the current phone.
Thanks
I have aluminium bumpers, but I don't think they do anything for "grip". A silicone / TPU type bumper might be able to do that.
You get what you pay for. I got a $13 aluminium bumper case from eBay. I'm happy with it, but it's not perfect with concerns to quality control - and I really doubt any at that price-range are.
However I think $70 on a case is reasonable to spend if you can afford it. I mean, that's like 1/10th of the phone's original price - pretty reasonable to me.

How's the screen protection with that one?
If it was easy you'd of hired the guy at Home Depot to to it.
It as a lip of 2-3 mm on the edge, not much but it holds on the phone very firmly. I dropped my phone a few times now on stone (outside) and wood (inside.) But it was just fine. Altough it always depends on luck.
On a side note, i have installed the spigen screen protector and after 2 months it still doesnt have a scratch.

Spigen bumper I have is HORRIBLE. I love SGP cases...I've owned at least 1 for each of my last 3 phones. However....this case is terrible. Feels cheap. Cannot push in power button. I have to apply about 15 lbs of pressure for screen to come on.

Protection wise, are aluminum bumpers just for looks or do they actually protect the phone at all? It seems like hits would just shoot right through instead of being absorbed like a rubber bumper.

There wouldn't be any shock / impact absorption. Looks only with a drop in reception. Foam is too thin. The phone would most likely touch the aluminum when dropped. Unless it had the sturdier stoppers.
For the authentic Spigen bumper is it a one piece?

I "made" one for the extended battery (and case) that I have - from a 3EUR rubber case (normal size) which could not fit the extended case in the original form, but after some cutting around I was left with a decent bumper - not perfect (and the "finish" is poor since this was a first-time experiment) - but usable

What's interesting is that I have the exact opposite complaint about my spigen bumper. I bought it the same time that I bought a leather holster and the button is way to easy to press. When I put it in the holster it barely touches the power button but it's so easy to push that the holster makes it turn off.

Got the FlipBook today and it is a very nice sleek case. The cover is heavy so it closes very nicely. It lookes luxury. It fits mutch better than the original HTC flipstand cover I have. The original I like to both it's a bit to loose in my opinion.
Got the clear Poetic case to that one fits so tight that it hard to get it of again. It's very nice.
Came with a letter from Poetic that all costumers how both one will get a free update in may because the remote control does not work with the case because of block by white button.

I've had it for about a week. Very nice fit and finish. Very slim. As one poster mentioned, there's no mechanism to keep the flap closed (no magnet or snap). There's a fair chance it'll flap open if dropped and not provide much protection. However, I got this case primarily to protect the glass face in my pocket etc. and it's definitely less slippery than the naked phone.
:good:
Was browsing around and just saw this. Costs much more, but someone might be interested.

I have the same one on my n10,however this doesn't. There's an application called smart cover which works quite well.
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 4 Beta
I've been using the Poetic FlipBook case for about 2 weeks now. It's great -- the cover is heavy enough that it stays shut except when upside down, and is nice because I can 'swing' it open with one hand with a little force.
I usually take my phone out of it at night or at work (I have a dock for work) - it pops right out if you peel back 2 corners, but holds it very sturdy otherwise. I've dropped the phone once, and it protected the corner that hit the table - better yet, it didn't leave a single mark.
The cover and back feel nice to the touch, and it's nice not worrying about using a screen protector or anything when it's in my pocket. Adds very little weight to the phone.
I like my phone naked, but if I'm out and about, that's not exactly 'smart' so this case keeps the phone classy, gorgeous, and has a practical application. Just make sure not to get sand or something on the inner front cover!
Do you guys find the cover lays flat when shut even after being folded backwards during phone use? I have a Nilkin flip case on my Nexus and after fold it backwards it wont lay flat when closed anymore. I just ordered the flipbook for the m7 and am going to be really bummed if it suffers from the same problem.

So, the Otterbox is the one to get? If not, can someone enlighten me as to what case is "scratch free" and perfect?? They all seem to suck (or are being dissected by dorks).

Ya I bought one of the HTC cases knowing it was an issue. Thought I could just be careful with it. Lasted one day. Couldn't stop thinking about it. All I could think about was my beautiful black one being scratched up everytime I moved. I took it back the next day and ordered a poetic atmosphere case.
On the subject of the otterbox, I used a commuter otterbox on my evo lte and was very pleased with it. I hate the bulky defender case but the commuter really doesn't add much to it. Just an fyi and sharing my personal opinion.

How did you "pop out" the built in protector? I thought it was glued?
I'm using a defender, but have ordered the Tuff as Nuts model. I think I might go ahead and get rid of the external protector, since dust gets under there.
I plan to go commando, or nearly that, depending on if a thin TPU case will work with the "nuts" model - they are really stiff when new. I had one a while back for a different phone - great protection.

Is it original? How come it costs in their site 35$ and in amazon just 24.99/29.99$?

Could one of you please take a picture of your HTC One in the UAG case at the following angles.
Top
Volume Side
Bottom
No one seems to have pictures of these angles with the phone in it, even Urbanarmorgear.com
I am using the speck grip case in white with a Zagg Dry for the front and back and It has been awesome so far!
