Sir, actually I am new to android so I want to knw full detailed information about ROMs like What is ROM? How to use it? How to get it? What is the use of it? and etc such things.

To install custom rom put the rom in ur sd card, clear cache and user data and then install it via cwm
And for stock flash it through odin
Please ask common questions in FAQ

Hello friends i need your help .. i am girl and newbie.. i used huawei ideos x6 ..last night i got HTC one v ( INDIA , gsm )which in jelly bean 4.0.1 .. i tried to flash
[AOSPA 4.2.2 JDQ39] PARANOIDANDROID 3.1x [beta][08/03/2013]... as i know just some functions only my previous mobile ..so same like that i flashed ... but it stuck in front page then nothing ...
what i do .. even i don't know it is rooted or not ( but when i brought from my friend so it was in jelly bean .) so please help me .......

first of all your one v which is in 4.0.1 is not jelly bean.
now reply these qn.
1. is it unlocked? ( to check that you can turn off phone then start via pressing power button and volume down key simultaneously it will show bootloader screen)
2. Is recovery installed (when you are on bootloader u can click on recovery)
3. have you flashed 4.2 kernel?

Hello, you are the first girl in the one v forums!
First of all I've never heard of android 4.0.1 running on one v. It shipped with 4.0.3
Also, did you flash the correct kernel? Without that the ROM won't boot

HTC has something called a boot locker...did u unlock it...
Do u have a custom recovery other than stock....drivers installed?

but my phone now refuse to work at all , after the samsung screen with cyanogenmod logo the device don`t show anything and keeps restarting ... i registered in the site to post about my problem in the topic above ... but because i`m new so i can not post ... please help me i don`t know what to do

u should know that i don`t know what i was doing ... i just was angry about my device because it works slowly .. so i googled how to improve performance of my device and i used something called adrenaline boost then i saw that topic at this site and i just did what was written
i really don`t understand anything about smartphones softwares ... but i saw the steps and i thought it was easy , but somebody told me that i should have cm9 befor what i did !!!
so plz till me what to do step by step if u can

glad to hear that's worked for you. CM9 is the most stable for our device. you can try cm10 or cm10.1 if you want to test newer version. it's also run well, but the main problem is our ram. it's to small to handle. so if you want to get performance, stability and battery friendly i suggest you keep CM9.
you should backup first, lol :laugh: nandroid backup for your rom, in case you have to back to stock rom to claim the guarantee. but yeah, you can flash stock rom anyways. there is on sammobile.com
i usually using gobackup to backup sms, contacts, call log, etc. and my contacts always sync to my google account. (i know most people think go app is crap, yeah it is, but this one is working well for simple backup ).
i suggest after installing new rom you install app manually from play store. because different android version usually had different apk build.

Thanks for ur straight review. If u dnt like my work thn kindly dnt install any of my roms. Its ur wish to use or not. All bugs are already listed. And if ppl encounter further bugs they report and sooner or later tht got fixed. And abt wasteing time and data.. Hahaha.. i have lots of time and data to waste.. All roms are bug free apart from cam. If thr is they r minor. What's the bug in gidgat? And Mr., No i cannot port a bugfree rom bt still i will port roms and post here. If u have any issue regarding tht dnt open any of my thread. Its my work and if u dnt wanna use thn plz dnt. And frm now stop irritating me and spamming my thread.

Grab modem.img file from any rom with working 3g and just rename it. And do as stated.

You don't need to edit anything. Just flash cwm recovery and rom

Keep one thing in mind before installing. First wipe data - - >wipe cache and dalvik cache--->now format system and install zip. Formating system should be done at last. Dnt wipe cache and dalvik after formating system. Sumtym this thing also cuz error7. Try this hope ur prblm will be fixed.
3G not working

Thanks for this KK rom, first rom which is actually working on my A210.
I tried replacing modem.img with suggested fix, but only edge is showing up. Tried stock modem file, tried stock file from A116 as well. No luck.
Can someone point me to the correct modem.img file to be used?

Downloaded again nd flashed now it works....Jst low sound even after using patch nd engineering mode...Rom is great :good: hope nexus 5 rom will fix those

Try deleting root/data/nvram folder. [Warning:This will delete ur imei number so take a backup of imei using mobile uncle tool.] Now restore imei using mobile uncle tool. Reboot. Restore imei using mobile uncle tool. Reboot. Enjoy 3G network.

Yeah, had tried that as well. Same issue. Will google around for modem.img with same base band and see if I can get the 3G back. Thanks anyways.
