[Q] Better Camera Application on W.M. (REQ. for htc...) - Windows Mobile Software Development

I have a Windows Mobile device, it's camera app is very bad and I want to change it.
I want to improve the Camera software because
---Photos made with my device are always too dark...
Maybe because in my device lacks an ambient light sensor for automatic screen brightness adjustment.
---I don't understand why the Secondary Camera of my device (with 0.3 MegaPixel) is better than the Primary Camera (with 2 MegaPixel)...

1---Does it exist camera apps that can I install? (like FXCamera for Android...)
2---I saw some Xda members that have imported and shared softwares from their HTC (and Sony Ericcson) devices.
HTC's Camera Apps are fantastic and they take photos very well. (sometimes with interfaces similar to Android Cameras...)
Where can I download these camera softwares? Can anyone upload them? I am sure that they will work.
3---I found the code of a camera app that works on all WM devices(http://winmocamera.codeplex.com/) Can anyone compile it for me? (Just press the "Compile" button, because it's all already developed)
4---Do you know WM devices with panorama/landscape function?
5---Can anyone upload these files? (they are in the "Windows" folder). "CamcorderDriver.dll" , "camerabho.dll" , "QCAMERA.dll" , "OEMCameraDll.dll".
There are also "TOSHIBA.OCR.Camera" and "HTCCamera.dll" (or something like that)

other
6---I also read that a WM cooker said "Now with my rom, it's possible to use the zoom of the camera application with all resolution "
It's really possible. We can use zoom with low resolution (normally) and now even with high resolution.
Which registry values should I change to do this?
7---How can I change the folder where photos and videos are saved?

Help please

I don't have a lot of experience with the programming, maybe if I try I will succeed. But if someone used Visual Studio 2008...
Thank you. You replyed my 3rd questions. The other ones?

Yes, I will update you.
In this thread there are so many questions that everyone can help.
(For example: quest. 4, I think the HTC HD2 has this function; quest. 5, just copy some files...)

Thats a new picture viewer from Microsoft, they made kind of Iphone style.
At this moment there isn't a cab available yet!
You can get resco photo explorer pro to do something similar. About as close as I have seen anyway.

Workout software for windows mobile?

Hi there,
I had a discussion with my brother on his new iphone and he showed me a software to keep track of his sit up, push up, .... and what ever sessions. It would use the gsensor to count and also check the angle of the situps and correct if necessary.
Now it annoyed me I don't have anything like that on my HD2. Is there anything similar somewhere?
Thanks
Michael
What is the name of that specific app with the gsensor count?
I wish there were some decent work out loggers for us winmo gym guys.

had seen this already, however if I understand it correctly this is just a tracker where I can enter manually. I would like an app where I can "wear" my mobile and the app tracks push ups and situps automatically.
that app would great... i honestly envy iphone users for this kind of practical apps. on the other hand, there is a nice app (not exactly what you want) that you might to take a look at: MyPersonalDiet from VidaOne. Hope it helps.

Simple Restart Application

I own a TMobile hTC HD7 and I have been waiting patiently for a "Restart/Soft Reset" Application to hit the Marketplace. I am actually quite surprised that not more people are interested in a simple app like that. There are countless times when my phone will start acting up or not loading applications properly, so I am constantly restarting my phone. A soft reset app would be a great addition to my phone app collection. This is more of a request as opposed to a rant. While I'm not as talented as some of the developers here, but I am quite sure that a simple restart application wouldn't be insanely hard to develop. Is there anyone out there that is willing to help me out? Or anyone else who thinks this would be a good idea? Or am I alone in this? Lol
Sent from my HD7 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
yeah Me too.. I agree with you.. I hope someone will make a restart software or a task manager software...
Well its nice to know that I wasn't the only one who would like to see a Soft Reset Application with the Windows Phone 7 theme and feel as the UI. I hope someone amazing comes across this thread and makes this a reality.

Does it actually need a UI? Wouldn't a tile pinned to start do just fine? I mean, what would be included in the UI apart from a "reboot" button?
Well i guess it wouldn't need some crazy elaborate UI.... Just an icon nice enough to put on my home page.

Has a skilled developer heard my plea? And is willing to develop this totally useful application?

I personally don't see a need for such an app but I'll knock something together over the weekend. So basically just an icon you place on your home screen that, when pressed, reboots your phone? right?
Yes something along those lines.... Obviously something that kinda fits the whole Windows Phone 7 Metro Theme... But the reason why I thought a UI would be necessary... Would be a Settings page... To have the icon that is placed on the homeacreen able to do different functions that each user could specify on their own. But definitely a way to simply Restart the phone...
Sent from Projekt hTC HD7
And yea man.. Thanks a lot for attempting this.... Like I have stated before... I am not a developer myself otherwise I would've made something like this a while ago... But I am quite sure that this wouldn't be an insanely difficult task.... But regardless your efforts are well appreciated... Looking forward to seeing this evolve.

Well, that just confused me again
Either you want a tile which will reboot your phone (for which I personally see no use - as it's easy enough to just press the power button for 2 seconds) or you want ... err, well ... something completely different
In any case, I've written an app that will do just this - clicking it will ask you if you want to reboot or shutdown the device. No bells or whistles - this is all it does. Will have to tidy up the code a bit, but I'll get it attached here later tonight or tomorrow.

You'd be surprised
There are no APIs available for this so I've had to write native code to get it working - which means it will never be available in the marketplace and will only run on developer-unlocked devices.
Yes, this will be a handy tool. Another added feature I've missed on WP7. This & a screen capture app are all I'm really missing, app-wise that is.
O man.. That kinda sucks for me... I don't have a unlocked device... Mine is Tmobile hTC HD7... but whatever then... I'm glad someone out there tried.. And allowed others to benefit from it... Thanks

Hi all have used the DLL Import work here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1006331
To create a simple restarter. Click the app and restart your phone. As it uses the native API's it can't be put on the marketplace but for anyone with a dev unlocked phone simple deploy the XAP and all is good.

[MOD]Reg Hack SOLUTION on Window 8 App Swype Dock for Lower Resolution PC screen

I have an Asus Pc slate with a MAXIMUM resolution of 1280 by 800 and as you all aware that, in order to get the App on window 8 dev build to swype or dock, you're required to have a system with a screen resolution minimum requirement of 1360 by 768, and anything lower the apps would work BUT NOT the swype docking system.
Be doing some serious searching on the web and stumble across this website with straight forward SOLUTION .
It's NOT my work nor am I a messenger, just wana help out, i tryed it and its working on my Asus Pc Slate that has only 1280 by 800 Screen Resolution, there are two ways of going about it so just visit the site http://www.addictivetips.com/window...ap-feature-and-how-to-snap-metro-application/ and choose which option is easier for you.
Am just excited that its that simple and it work and i have tried it using the tweeter and reed app and works, try it out and leave feedback both here and the website if you can, am sure everyone on here would appreciate it.
Excuse any grammatical & spelling errors.
Thank you 10000x times! It works!

I've adjusted the display name (etc) to put a space between the words i.e. "Bing Launcher". I think it looks better. I've attached it - hope you don't mind.
I'll load it on the HD2 forum later when I get a chance - with your acknowledgement and a link here

Thanks for the apps! I've used the bing configurator for awhile now but it has stopped working for me. It will no longer let me change the picture. I've uninstalled it and reinstalled it but nothing. I've also tried the new release and it still won't work. I'm running a fully unlocked HTC HD7 with a custom 7.8 rom. Even though the rom is fully unlocked, I tried trusting it in WP7 Root Tools but still nothing. Any ideas? Thanks!
Good work......
