Wow. That's such an insightful post.
It's really quite shocking that out of approximately 4.5 million users that you'd think you're the only user here who thinks that this is "the greatest development forum".
May I make a suggestion?
Instead of jumping through random threads across XDA to tell people pointless stuff just to get up to 10 posts, you actually devote a bit of your time to reading threads such as :-
Forum Rules
Postcount limit in the developmental fora
Get the most out of XDA
XDA New User Guide
Now, you might be thinking that reading all of them might take quite a bit of time, and you're right. But it's either spend the time to read and follow what is said in those threads, or keep on doing what you are and quickly find that a moderator has deleted your posts because they're spamming.
The choice is yours
Oh, and please don't think that those threads were written for people like you just to ignore. That would be a really silly presumption to make and you'd quickly find out that those threads are in place to make this a much better place for all of us.
However, if you're struggling to think of how to get a legitimate 10 posts, then you should start off by answering peoples question in the General and Q&A sections for your device.
Much obliged

New users are not allowed to help... :( ???

I have just registered because I wanted to help somebody with one question in a development forum. After registering, I realized that I'm not allowed to post in the development forums until I post 10 times in the general forum because this forum is only for expert users. I cannot catch the connection between new user and development expertise...
Well, no matter. If the help and collaboration is not wanted, I'll let the user's question unanswered.
I will just continue only reading and not participating...
Bye...

That question should have never been in the development forum in the first place, it should have been in Q&A if available or general if not. You could also PM the user, rather than spamming maybe?

This ^^^^. The question shouldn't be asked in a development forum, that is what q&a is for... development is for development, not questions... not even a question about the rom/kernel should be in development... only development related things... as one of my fav devs say, logcat or gtfo of development forums...

Change "Min.10 posts policy"

Hi
I am a junior member of XDA but I have a good experience of flashing ROMs. But the problem is that I cannot post any review/reply about that ROM due to this policy by which you should have minimum 10 posts. I understand that development-purpose threads are for developers but this policy restricts us to do any sort of development-related discussion even if we are capable of doing so. So I would request XDA to please remove the policy. Thanks.
Oh great. Another one of these threads...
It's only 10 posts. It's NOT 50, 100 or anything. It's ONLY 10. You're already half way there so go and help some people in your devices Q&A section to get your other 5 posts.
If your excuse is going to be that you haven't got the knowledge to help people out, then you have no need to post in development.
In fact, I pretty much guarantee you'll have nothing relevant to post in a development thread anyway.

No full-form.
XDA was a HTC device back in the PDA days, and that device was responsible for the birth of this site. More Info.

If you can contact an administrator or senior mod, they may be able to help lift your restrictions. But you have to be able to convince them that you are knowledgeable. This is not guaranteed. Easiest thing to do is to hang out in the General Forums and help other new members so as to attain your 10 posts.
I'm personally tired of threads like these. Funny, I don't see anyone anywhere complaining about lifes rules. What's the difference here? Everyone here had to adhere to this rule, why should you or anyone else be any different? I just don't get it...
Ohh!!

Well, removing isn't really an option, that would allow idiots to spam noob questions after 1 day.
But I've been here since mid 2011, been reading a lot, just not posting anything.
And I still have to meet the 10 posts rule. Maybe it's an idea to have either 10 posts, or being on the forum for a certain amount of time and have an x amount of pageviews or something.
Nonetheless, rules are rules, and rules are not to be broken :good:
For all you 10 post whiners in this thread, have a look at this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2166989
A thread created by a new member. 4 of his 5 posts are uuseless threads ffor which answers can be easily found by a bit of searching, what would happen now if this Guy was let loose in the development forum? I am not saying that all of you are like this. I have also seen some members whose first post was an extremely informative thread, but that's at a minority. Rules are rules and they are there for a reason, i realized this after staying on xda for more than 1.5yrs

You can only post in non development threads. Just help 10 people in the Q&A threads and you will be fine.

Not being able to post is a good time to use the search button. Wont it be awesome to say "I found the answer myself!" ?
A tip : I find the xda app search to k8nd of suck (sorry guys its true) so either use "web view" or what I do isvuse google and put xda as a constant key word.
The thing is, a lot of times everything is found in your devices q&a section. And you dont need to havev10 posts for that.
Also most device forums tell you "all q&a go in the q&a sub forum" as part of the devices forums rules.
Are you like me and love to help ?
(hey dont roll your eyes me! )
Why not hang out in q&a for a bit?
You can help other and ask all your questions!
Great way to build up your post count!

If you have problems and you need the help of others to solve them then more likely than not your question belongs in the Q&A forum for your device. If you want to answer questions then you can do that in the Q&A as well. Either way, you'll either not need 10 posts because you have nothing to post in a dev thread or you'll easily be able to manage 10 posts because you are a dev and find it easy to answer questions.
Be patient...make the posts on home/forum/general,android,Q&A.....you can't on any device on development forum
That is a good point it seems like every where I try to post is not aloud I don't wanna be intrusive on threads just need some help
You wont find any help posting questions in the development threads anyway. All you will get is a bunch of people telling to post in the Q&A section.
I wish there was an easier way myself. I have been coming here since 2010 to read and find answers, but when I recently had an issue I couldn't find discussed I found I couldn't post.
I ubder stand though.

You've been a member of XDA for three years and this is the first part you've made! Hardly joining in with the community is it!
By now you should be an expert on your device, so get out there and HELP others in your device's forum with their problems. You'll easily get to 10 posts if you share some of your knowledge :banghead:
Man Man..we already have 2 threads with same meaning & different titles.
1st one -> Alternative to 10 post rule
2nd one -> 10 post RULE is it helpful or harmful - Closed
Now, this is created again. I think we must ask MOD to take necessary action.

And even if they somehow aren't, there are numerous guides for flashing every device so you should never have to ask a question like that in the first place.

Why can't I post in a development section? I have had over 10 posts. I dont get it.

The server sometimes takes a while to catch up - give it a few hours and if the posting restrictions haven't lifted by then PM an admin who can look into it further
Edit: Also you spammed your way to 10 posts by posting useless posts such as "thanks!" and "love it!" so your posts have been deleted and account permissions reset.
Actually also I think that it doesn't suppose to be like this... I'm a bad example but let's say I want to give my contribute to a Dev thread and i'm not interested in other stuff rather than development I just get stuck and I cannot help
