Xposed frameworks Guide!!!! + Examples - Galaxy S II Themes and Apps

How to install the Xposed Framework and Use it ( Big Thanks to Rovo 89 for introducing this )
If u want to know what exactly this is about http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401
For the framework:
Download XposedInstaller.apk and install it ( download below)
Launch the Xposed Installer and click on "Install/Update"
Reboot
Done!
For any modifications/modules you want to install:
Download <module>.apk and install it ( first install the app settings)
Launch the Xposed Installer and go to the "Modules" tab (you will also get there if you click on the notification warning you that the module is not enabled yet)
Enable the module by checking the checkbox
Reboot
Done!
Instructions for using modules :
Starting with Gmail
At this point i believe u have rebooted your phone after installing app settings and before that the Xposed installer itself
Open app settings and search for Gmail.
To get the kind of result displayed below
1. Change Screen(dp) settings to preferably 600*1024
2. Change font scale to 80 otherwise the dual panel will look messed up.
3. I would suggest u change the orientation to always landscape - worked best for me - depends on your liking
press the save button on the right top corner (then press yes) and check your newly designed gmail app right away
You can tinker with the settings and change it to your liking
Now lets move on to System Settings menu. (Dual panel!)( If u dont use Liquid smooth or AOKP)
search for settings in App settings
in the settings menu
Change DPI to 160
Screen(dp) to 1000*1600
and font scale to 130 ( ORIENTATION PREFERABLY ALWAYS LANDSCAPE )
Now save and check it out!
For the same thing - But If u use LiquidSmooth or AOKP or PA or anything that already allows you to force dual panel )
Search for force dual panel in your system settings menu and check it.
Then go to app settings -> settings -> and then
Change DPI to 160
Font Scale to 110
Save and enjoy!
Now one last example for the PLAY STORE
Search for playstore in the app settings list and enter it.
Change DPI to 160
Font Scale to 110
Screen(dp) to 1000*1600 ( ORIENTATION PREFERABLY ALWAYS LANDSCAPE - YOUR CHOICE - WORKS BOTH WAYS )
Additional Settings for each app:
1. u can check fulscreen to disable statusbar in that app
2. Check screen on to change display timeout to never!( it will always stay on in that ap
3. go to locale settings and select the language u want to display it in!
I will update this thread with links to more modules once the repo is up. At the time it is down.

Well nothing new.

It's for those who newbies who have not found a proper and easily explained guide for xposed frameworks yet!

Why not 240 for camera and FM radio if you've changed DPI and are on stock. YouTube, calendar have tablet versions some work well, others are interesting, set auto rotate for stock gallery. The over lockscreen setting can be used for clock app, calculator, torch app anything that personal info can't be taken from but might be needed quickly or by a friend etc also on the selected app in the app settings if you tap menu you can launch the app without having to go home and tap it

Yeah exactly. Users can change and tinker as they want. This was just to get them used to Xposed modules . I will add links to a few more modules in a while.

Did it even boot for anyone else? Got nothing but the boot animation. Seems like the phone will turn on but nothing waited 10 mins. Took off battery this time boot animation kept going could not see anything but hear the touch sounds. So many options to brick the phone in that aroma. Hellaaaaaaa. Would be nice when it works

Thanks for posting this rom. I followed OP for wiping and was able to install this rom. Once I tried to boot, I looked at the alien for about 3 mins and then the back and menu buttons lite up. That is as far as it would go. I had to hit the home button to get past the alien. I then got system ui fc and hands free activation notice. I waited for activation. It didn't happen so finally canceled it. I then used UI app to change to phablet mode and rebooted. The system ui fc went away but handsfree activation was still there.
I also noticed that the sms/mms app was missing and was getting fcs when trying to use contacts app and phone.

Everything works great except for gps and the activation hangs because the activation hangs I can't get Google Wallet activated via patch. I tried without the patch and it said that the device is not supported. With it mention some activation error. This looks very promising. The compass works too. Great job keep up the good work. Maybe it doesn't work because might have installed a tweak to boost my data speed through aroma. Maybe if I change my build prop. Google Wallet might work.

What's this data boost you are speaking of and where might one find it?
Know im working on it, I think activation is happening because of the build prop. I have wallet working on my phone though I just let the activation go tell it tried its 5 times and the rebooted and havent seen it since. I think Im going to have to get rid of the aroma installer as it is annoying me for one and I think its the reason it locks up on the boot screen as well. Its kind of nice to choose your options however its more problems then what it is worth

[Guide] How to float some of multi window app, work on 4.1.2.

You need to install xposed framework see guide here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401
after you install xposed, download those two apps, after you install them go to xposed app/modules and check them,
App Settings: http://mohammadag.xceleo.org/public/Android/Xposed/AppSettings_0.4.apk
Tweakbox: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1757849&d=1361739667
Go to appsetting/android system/ turn it on, you will see screen (dp) change it to 800x1280 go back and save
now go to tweakbox/miscellaneous/ long home key behaviour, put it show classic app list, restart phone and go back to tweakbox and put it to show new recent apps list restart phone, go to multiwindow put 2 apps on screen you will see an attach press it to float the app (not working for all apps)
you will see some changes in ui like lockscreen is bigger and recent app, im not a developer to fix that. I hope I helped
sorry for my bad english
no thanks?

DPI

I am using rom toolbox to adjust my dpi to 380 and everything looks great except the dialer. I installed app settings through the xposed installer and set the dpi for the dialer, phone and contacts to 480, but it did not change. I hate that huge letting of stock 480 I will deal the dialer being of center no biggy but if someone could help set the dialer to 480 it would be awesome!
download 'app settings' enable it since its a xposed module, search for 'contacts' app, and set the dpi to 480, save it. and done.

Thank you very much! I am knucklehead sometimes I did all that and forgot to go back and check the check box.

Phablet mod & Tweaks (Tested on Omni) *Root required*

Wanted to share my setup. The Oppo is a beast of a phone. The stock dpi looked blown up and too big to me. I use the N1 for everything and sold my tablet so this setup is much nicer to me.
Set the DPI to 320 using Textdroider :http://goo.gl/m2PHZr
Enable softkeys with using Softkey enabler: http://goo.gl/1l3Gyl
I used the following Xposed modules:
Xposed installer: http://goo.gl/JEu7Sr - main installer.
App settings: http://goo.gl/ifxLq3 - Find systemui in the list and change screen (dpi) to 600x1024 and any other app you would like in phablet mode (camera, keyboard, hangouts, gmail)
Phab7: http://goo.gl/6Mq5ri - Check Phablet (this fixes some landscape wackyness with the softkeys
Play store fix: http://goo.gl/xx9CNG ensures there wont be play store issues with the DPI
After all this reboot.
I also disable all the hardware buttons form the settings built into Omni.
Nice TUT
Thanks for sharing, searching for this!

Hide NavBar in specific apps (Nova Launcher)?

I have tried to do this via the Settings -> Buttons, but it is not working for me per specific apps. What I want to do is completely hide the NavBar when Nova Launcher is present. Is this possible?
Use something like edge gestures? Takes 5 minutes to get used to and then you can just hide it full time everywhere.
For hide NavBar in specific apps i'm using app "SystemUI Tuner". This app work without root and can set Immersive Mode for every different app. Please attentively read instruction of activations of the program. Unfortunately specific MIUI do after every restart device you need start SystemUI Tuner and in Immersive Mode push option "Navigation Bar", for make work it again. But this is not so hard. Also this app can do without root switch off warning message about Headphone Volume.

As I'm not on MIUI, I can't test it. But will it work if you toggle start on boot permissions on in settings? MIUI turns them off by default. I had this issue with LMT launcher.
I use Navigation Bar Hider.
Require ADB or ROOT
