[Q] Extract Modem - Galaxy Grand Duos i9082 Q&A, Help & Troubleshootin

Hey guys, even being a normal user, i'm here to represent the brazilian (we own the i9082L) guys that are having problems with the MODEM.TAR files provided here.
I was wondering if someone could help us to created a modem file form the STOCK ROM file, so then we can have cm10.1 in our phone(something we're looking farword).
It would be better if a developer did it for us, but if not possible, we'll be satisfied with an explanation of how doing this.
THANK YOU ALL.

as you can see in this image he uses baseband I9082LDCAMC1 (probably firmware india) I researched on the internet and not found this firmware or rom to use it.
in my opinion this modem should solve the problems of the cm10.1 of i9082l Brazil
I also do not know if I'm Brazilian

This one is for the i9082, i need the brazilian modem for i9082L

OMG, there's no modem file that makes brazilian i9082l gets signal on cm10.1...almost giving up

Sadly i9082L developement wont b3 cared much here. The dev did provide a modem file once.. but its not working and thats the end. No updates or help sadly. Been using stock rom eversince and gave up on hoping for development for my 9082L. Better stick to stock with minimal issues rather go custom with no support. Cheers

Whatever the Rogers device shows when connected to LTE will show on this ROM.
The files are unmodified (other than zipaligned) and no changes have been made to the framework.
If you flashed this ROM you should, in theory, have a ROM that acts just like a Rogers device fresh out the box. With the exception of beiong pre-rooted of course.
Very good job, thank you.
Your Welcome!

been looking at buying my buddies Note but hes already running a custom ROM and I dont think he backed up his orig ROM.
standard wipe and format good enough or do I need to flash back to stock firmware and then flash this?
Any particular G-apps required for this (some ROMS are so particular on this)?
thanks,
Joe.

Is there a zip file we can flash on top of this to enable multi-view? Or do we need to flash a custom rom that has it built in eg Sauron ROM?
I have a non rooted rogers device and I just want a rooted one so that I could install CWM via Odin. So can I just flash this via Odin on the stock Rogers that came with the phone? Sorry its been a while since I've been active

No actually... This is for AFTER you do all that. Maybe you want to customize the ROM so you can download this and remove crap you dont want and add crap that you do want :highfive:
Is this essentially the same as MrRobinson's root injected stock ROM? My Rogers Note 2 is showing modified status and am looking for a way to bring it to normal status but remain rooted. Thanks.

You can indeed use the old firmware you already have, but the latest one would be better, since you're already gonna flash something, flash the latest one, yes which is AMD6. Make sure you have the same device model as in the firmware name before flashing with Odin though.

[Q] Downgrade to 4.2.2 to 4.1.2

Hello Guys
thanks for reading my post and helping me on this.
So i want to downgrade from 4.2.2 to 4.1.2 (4.2,2 is very slow.. atleast on my grand).
I downloaded the stock rom from XDA , this one was for 776 mb and had only the ROM in it, While using ODIN , "pit" is required (ODIN prompts for this).
Question:
1, Can i use the pit , modem and bootloader files (from 4.2.2 rom) or are these specific to the ROM?
2. If no , can you please suggest where i can download these files for 4.1.2 rom.
Pasting SS of both ROM and these files....

Hi can you please share the link where u've downloaded all thode files(MODEM,PIT,et., ) for 4.1.2.
There is a long discussion about this topic if anybody care to use the search function.
The files on the screenshot are for XUBMF2 which is 4.2.2 not 4.1.2
I have downgraded 2x already from leak and russian 4.2.2 and I always used 1 file from the XXAMF7 downloaded from sammobile. Just wipe data and cache before reboot or you will have boot loop. Do not check repartition in odin or else odin will ask for pit file which is not needed.
All the needed files are inside the tar.md5 file. Odin automatically loads them. So no need for all those files previously req by leak.
