Looking for the best accessories

Hi I just got my Evo 4G and I am looking for the best accessories that work well with each other. I am looking for the following:
Screen Protector: cant distort colors and it shouldn't make my swipes and stuff terrible and it must protect against minor scratches. Note that i care about the screen protector but I don't want the glass exposed.
Case: Looking for a hard case that doesn't add much bulk and provides protection against everyday scuffs and minor drops.
Car Dock: Looking for a car dock that will hold my Evo while in a Hard case and still be usable. I would like it to recharge the evo as well. Most car docks don't work in my car due to the dashboard shape [see attached picture] so I am interested in vent options and not window adhesives (i cant bear my baby being suspended midair lol)
Better USB Charger: I want one that charge faster (wall charger) and have longer cords and maybe a few more cords.that i can keep one at work and one at home and in the car.
Any ideas?
Here's a good place for cables: http://www.amazon.com/BlackBerry-Cable-Micro-1-0m-Black/dp/B001QATRCA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1288623582&sr=8-1
as for charging, you're not going to find anything better then the stock A/C adapter.
screen protectors, i don't use them and my screen is doing just fine.
car docks: i keep my phone in it's holster cause i drive while in the car. just sayin'
good luck mate! i hope you find everything you're looking for
Well I am really looking for a screen protector ( i cant stand grease on my screen lol) and a car dock for GPS/Navigation purposes. But thank you for your response. I am checking out the amazon link now.

I use cheap screen protectors. I can get the vinyl ones on discount and choose not to because I don't like the way they feel. The cheap ones that use static cling to stick to my screen work great and don't get scratched through. I have scratches on the protector, but not the screen. Make sure they have a cutout for the camera if you don't use the ones that are linked.
My otterbox commuter isn't too bulky, but if you want minor bulk go with the new Incipio case. I think it just started shipping.
Go with the Kensington Iphone mount. It comes with a dash mount and a windshield mount. It works with the Evo in an otterbox, so it will def work with any hard case you may get that is smaller. I got this based on feedback from a member here and they couldn't have been more correct. It will not charge the phone, but if you are using the vent mount get you a cheap car charger.
USB Cords are all the same charge wise, it is a limitation of the USB port, not the cable. but if you want a long one go here.
you asked for the best...i don't have the best, but it works pretty well...
i have the seidio rugged case, i got it from amazon for $40 for the hard case, rubber case to go over that, holster and the screen protector.
seidio's screen protector is pretty good in my opinion. i'm not "screen protector connoisseur" by any means but it seems to hold up well while having a very glassy feel. as long as my hands arent covered in some sort of cooking or forehead grease, it stays relatively clean. I'm happy with the screen protector.
the seidio hard is ok. i like it overall but mine has developed a crack ( i have dropped it a couple times) and i will be seeing if i can get some sort of replacement. overall, it didn't add to much bulk and i liked the feel. i also liked how it goes on the phone and feel it provides good protection. i use this case by it self most of the time. i use the rugged part of it when i go off-road or working outside...really anytime that being in my pocket wouldnt be a good idea.
i use the nuvi 205 car mount for my evo. just takes a couple of minutes over a stove with a pair of pliers to form it to fit the evo with case. i fitted to my rugged case and when i use just the hard case, i use a piece a memory foam to hold it in place. it works really well and i use it while i go off-road. if it getting really bumpy, it falls out eventually but while on road it holds very nicely using either case.
i got the vent one so that it could have moving air going over the phone cause i did notice if i had my 1A car charger going and running satnav and other track recording apps plus music it got pretty warm (+the Arizona sun) and would stop charging.
like i said, not the best but thought it might be worth telling my experience.
cheers

And not just for phone / IT equipment - car stereo, home theatre, everything. They've got an amazing combination of price and quality.

USB cable there (monoprice) was for $2.81, where i got my cable on ebay for $1.85.
What I have bought on ebay for my evo:
Extended battery 3500mAh for $9.99
Desktop slim cradle for $12.26
Amazon
Seidio spring holster $22
Ebay and Amazon should be on your list to find accessories.
Here's what I use:
Seidio Innocase™ II Surface Combo: The Innocase II Surface fits the Evo like a coat of paint and adds almost no bulk. People are frequently surprised to learn that I even have a case on my phone. Despite that, it protects the phone remarkably well. I work in the industrial maintenance trades and I'm not easy on my phones, but my Hero looked like new after a year in an Innocase Surface (after I removed the case) so I'm using the same thing on my Evo.
Seidio Ultimate Screen Guard - Crystal Clear: I actually use the Boxwave ClearTouch™ Anti-Glare screen protector on my phone but a lot of people don't like the matte finish and the Seidio Ultimate is a great choice if you like a crystal clear protector. Either one is durable and easy to apply, and I didn't detect any reduction in touch sensitivity for either one.
Seidio Desktop Charging Cradle: The perfect desktop cradle as far as I'm concerned. Use it with the wall wart which came with your Evo and it will charge at the maximum rate that the Evo will allow. Use it connected to a USB port on your computer and it will sync, but it will only charge at a reduced rate because a USB port can't deliver the power that a wall wart can. I keep my dock connected to the wall wart and use another cable (which I bought from monoprice.com) when I want to sync.
It may sound like I'm a Seidio dealer, but I'm not. They just make top quality stuff and I'm the kind of guy who appreciates that and sticks with what works. If you'd like some further reading which includes some before & after photos of my Hero and the Seidio Innocase II I used on it, you can visit the thread in Android Forums by CLICKING HERE. If you want to cut right to the chase you can read the first and last post in that thread, but there's some good stuff in between too.

I'm not a fan of a case that has a "sleeve" to hold my cables...those are lost cables waiting to happen.
This one looks promising: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002N7QWMI/ref=ord_cart_shr?ie=UTF8&m=A174CY8CR6S3G5
The dimensions seem perfect for the Archos 101. Its a harder shell case for better protection and the front pocket zips shut for the cables and crap.
Micro Center Case
I like the one you posted. I prefer the Soft case. I'm not sure why you think the cables would get lost. he case I got also has a zipper on the front pocket. My cables are fine. he Neoprene also stretches well so if you have to stuff more in that pocket.

nice case been looking for a case

Great for a girl... It's a shiny and girly bag if you ask me, but I really like the hard case.

GameKlip (alternative) for Nexus 7 2013?

So the GameKlip is compatible with the first generation nexus 7 but apparently not the second. Does anyone know whether this will change any time soon or if there is an alternative?
Thanks

Well, you could ask them here. Otherwise the Universal case mount would work with the 2013 N7.
fantastic case mount, but the case will be sticked permanently so I need to buy another one...

^^This!!
I actually bought a GameKlip made for my Evo 4G LTE, before they started making the universal kit. Once I got my Note 2, I just cut off the tabs that held the Evo, applied some 3M double sided tape, then stuck a slim hard case (that I had already purchased from ebay for less than $2 shipped) to the 3M tape. Works perfectly! I considered mounting a case for my N7 FHD to it, but I think that the N7 might be a little too heavy, so I haven't bothered. I'll probably just use a case for my N7 and have it sitting in front of me while I'm playing, like I do with my Asus Infinity.
Anyone tried mounting their N7 to a GameKlip yet, and give us your thoughts on the weight of it? I'm 6'2" 200lbs, but still think it may get uncomfortable after an extended period of time of gaming...

I have. I used the gameklip mount that came for my S3. Removed the cover adn scratched the 3m tape clean. It took me a while to get the adhesive off though. I bought a Fosmon sleeve for my Nexus 7 FHD and attached it to the GameKlip using a 3m double sided adhesive mold tape. ITS ROCKING FOR ME. I don't do too much of gaming, but i have gamed for an hour or two at stretch and I find the setup pretty comfortable. I don't even feel the weight once I am into the game. I have my sixAxis wired to the N7 and have the USB adapter stuck to the back of the Fosmon as well using the 3m double sided tape. I love the gaming experience on this one. I wish someone came up with a mount for Moga Pro Controllers too.

So the GameKlip you had for your S3 was already universal then, correct? I'm assuming so since you didn't have to cut anything off of your GameKlip like I had to. My GameKlip was made specifically for a Evo 4G LTE, so I couldn't stick a case to mine without first cutting off the ends.
I'm thinking of removing the Note 2 case that I mounted on to my GameKlip with 3M tape. I'll remove the 3M tape and any residue leftover from it, then stick velcro to the GameKlip. Then I can stick the opposite side of the velcro to my Note 2 case, and a separate piece of velcro to a TPU case that's made for a N7 FHD. That would allow me to easily swap cases on my GameKlip, thus allowing me to easily switch between which device I want to mount to my GameKlip at any given moment! I think I'll first use some painters tape and attach my N7 FHD to my GameKlip just to see how the weight feels, and see if having my N7 FHD mounted to my GameKlip is even something that I would want to do. I'd hate to go through the all of the hassle just to find out that I would rather just use my Moko UltraSlim to hold my N7 FHD while gaming.
If I decide that I do think I'll like my N7 FHD mounted to my GameKlip and go the velcro route, I'll post some pictures of it in case anyone else is interested in doing the same thing. Don't know why I didn't think of doing this before now! It will be pretty awesome to have the ability to quickly and easily switch between devices on my GameKlip!! I'll just need to get some fairly strong velcro to be able to hold the weight of the N7 FHD securely to the GameKlip without ever having to worry about it coming loose and falling off. I'd imagine that shouldn't be too difficult though, and worse case I can just use a couple long strips of velcro to give me a worry free attachment!! If anyone else decides to do the velcro method before I do, please post up some pics! What velcro you find to be the right strength would also be very helpful to myself and/or anyone else thinking about going the velcro route!!

That is correct. I was using the universal gameklip with the S3.
I would be interested in seeing the velcro setup pictures too. Sounds cool. My only worry is that would it be able to hold the device. The 3M works great, but then you lose teh ablity to swap devices. Let us know how it goes. GOOD LUCK !!!!!!:good:
hi guys, any success with the velcro route? some images would be very much appreciated

what car holders are people using

would be interested in something good to use with Fire Phone while navigating (and possible video registrator as well)
Because 300+ have viewed with no response I guess I will...lol. I think any holder that gets good reviews would work!
I am using a Mountek nGroove Snap 3 Magnetic mount, it goes in the cd slot. I use the large metal plate inside my case between the layers. I am using this case:
i-Blason Amazon Fire Phone Case- Armadillo Series 2 Layer [Ultra Slim]
Search both of those at Amazon to see pics.
Heavy phone it moves around a bit, but hasn't fallen off. I use the same setup with a Galaxy Note 2 with an extended battery which is pretty heavy, and it only fell off once or twice.
I use the Aduro U-GRIP PLUS Universal Dashboard Windshield Car Mount for Smartphones. Got it on Amazon for $10 and it works very well. Takes both hands to put the phone in it, but once it's in it stays put. An added bonus is that the actual holder part can be attached to the ball mounts that come with Garmin GPS (which I already had), so it can be used with any Garmin type holder (look at the last pic on Amazon to see what I mean).
Just got the Magnetic Phone Mount Suction Technology By Gizmount from Amazon. It was on a lightning deal so I grabbed it. Has the same Garmin type holder like the one above but uses a magnet to hold the phone. It works really well and doesn't take two hands to put the phone on or take it off.
I too use a magnetic holder that attaches to the CD holder. I love it. I also bought a $5 magnetic suction cup holder and use it at my desk. Works so great! I also did a little modding of the Amazon charger so it is magnetic too and I can just stick my phone to it to charge (I plan on writing up the howto for this soon). If anyone wants more info/links, let me know.

Any silicone cases for another brands to fit 2nd gen Nexus 7?

So, I'm in a desperate position.
Next weeked I'm going for a trip and would like to keep my tablet safe. Unfortunately it's too late to do some ebay shopping in my country. Also didint find any cases locally for my "old" nexus 7.
So maybe anyone tried snugging the N7 into silicone case made for another brand and it fitted?
I'm not concerned about camera or buttons - I can cut that in few minutes as this bumper will only be used once, I just need some rubber to protect my tablet's corners and back while I will be traveling.
Best wishes from Lithuania!
