[Q] Tmobile Network

Anybody running one of these unlocked on Tmobile's network? if so, what kind of speeds are you getting?
I have tried a T-Mobile SIM in my Nitro before just for the heck of it. (I bought an unlock code for mine if anyones wondering.) Speedtest.net app said like 160kbps down, I forget what the up was but it was pretty low in the double digit kbps.
I am using on tmobile also...its not that fast since u only get 2g but to me its worth the sacrifice for this sweet phone

T-Mobile in the US uses different frequencies for HSPA/HSPA+ than AT&T and has no LTE, so any AT&T phone used on T-Mobiles network only gets 2G.

Just to elaborate. T-Mobile uses 1700/2100 aka AWS for 3G/HSPA. AT&T uses 850 and 1900 bands for 3G/HSPA.
There are phones that do all 3 bands, such as the Galaxy Nexus or HTC Amaze 4G, but its not common.

It might be possible to get 3G on T-Mobile it was done for ATT Samsung Galaxy Note SGH-I717 and ATT SGH-i727 by flashing modem from T-Mobile Galaxy S2. The LG Nitro HD features same cpu and modem as samsungs phones (APQ8060, MDM9200) so someone knowledge enough might be able to flash a model from a T-Mobile phone like Blaze 4G or T-Mobile S2 onto Nitro HD and 3G going on AWS.

Anybody using a T-mobile SGS 3 on At&T?

I'm reading that the GSM variants have IDENTICAL hardware, meaning if unlocked I can get LTE on a T-Mobile device while on At&T's network.
Can anyone clarify?
I think you can get lte and edge, but no 3g. I think.
not working right now
edge working but in roaming mode
and also no calling

Unlocked my GS3, but can I join AT&T's network?

Ok so I understand that by unlocking my phone (I used the SIMlock Remote Client for $20 from sammobile.com) I can now use an AT&T SIM card if I choose, but my question is this: Is it even remotely possible to make my current T-Mobile SIM card work on AT&T's network? Just so I can pick up better 4G speeds in my area because quite frankly, the 4 - 5 Mbps I'm getting with T-Mobile isn't cutting it, especially when I hear of people getting 25+ Mbps. Thanks in advance.
No... same SIM as carrier is a must...plus u might need to change apn's?
Plus if u go to *prepaid att* u won't get 4g speed only 3g......u must be on a plan to get 4G off att^^^

ATT customers can get 4G on a unlocked Tmobile S3. Tmobile customers can only get 2G on ATT's network with a Tmobile unlocked S3.

Umm, not exactly.
A T-Mobile S3 can get 3G on AT&T's network, but not LTE (4G).
An AT&T S3 can get only 2G on T-Mobile's network.

4-5MBPS is probably normal for your area and most of the US. People that are reporting 25mbps+ are in the few HSPA+42 areas that T-Mobile has. There's nothing wrong with your area other than T-Mobile doesn't offer those speeds there.

I think you were confuzzled. ATT unlocked phones will only get 2G on tmobile (Due to lack of frequency) but unlocked Tmo will get everything EXCEPT LTE on ATT network.

Correct, unlocking allows you to use any SIM you want.
AFAIK, there is no way you can use the AT&T network with a T-Mobile SIM.

T-mobile unlocked question

If I get the t-mobile unlocked version, can I use with AT&T sim? Would I get LTE, HSPA or just EDGE?

If you get sim unlocked you can use an AT&T sim. You will be able to get GSM, GRPS, EDGE, HSPA, HSPA+, but no LTE as the LTE radio is software disabled on T-Mobile Note 2's. I remember seeing one Guy claim he had it but I don't remember who or where. Once T-Mobile activates their LTE then you will get LTE on AT&T also.
You may need to add AT&T APNs to use data but they are easy to find/add.

[Q] Samsung Galaxy S3 T-Mobile just 3G

Hi friends. I have a unlocked T-mobile Samsung Galaxy S3. I brought it here to Honduras. I only have 3G on my network. I use Tigo. Do I have to change modem to have a 4G? Greetings.

According to Google, Tigo uses HSPA 21Mbps and UMTS in the rest of their network. What speeds are you seeing? No modem change will be required unless they have deployed LTE, in which case, I am sorry to say you will not be able to use the T999 on any LTE network.
