Hey guys, got my device about a week ago and there is NOTHING wrong with it. No pink pixel issues or anything. However, i noticed when i am on the lockscreen, if you hover your finger over the screen you will get the white dot.
Well very rarely it will show that white dot despite the fact the device is sitting on the table and nobody is near it.
I also went into *#0*# and did the TSP Hover test. And it does it there as well.
Now, this happens very randomly and i cannot re-create it on demand.
Has anyone else experienced this?
I am on a Stock deodexed modded ROM that i did all myself. So i was hoping it was maybe something i removed. I also am on ktoonsez kernel. I will Odin back to stock and see what happens but im just curious if anyone else has had this issue.

Ooh ok, I misunderstood I thought you were saying that it doesn't appear when you hover over it. So it just does it on its own? Ive never seen that happen on mine

Yes. Without my finger hovering, it will show the white dot. I'm gonna download the Odin flashable stock firmware to see if it's software related. I have a feeling it's hardware related though. Which sucks cause nothing else is wrong with this device.

hovering problems with custom roms
i flashed hassan rom on my i9500 and hovering dosent work i guess its because of custom rom , any ideas how to fix it ? , ill be very thankful

How can you disable this function?
I just want to scroll and not zoom when I slide my finger up and down on the left side. I have looked every where for a setting to disable this annoyance..

I actually just noticed this when trying to highlight text in an email...I use chrome and it doesn't zoom with the one finger so I never noticed it, 2 weeks later and still learning about this phone lol
my guess is that you have one-handed operation on. If you take that off I bet it will stop zooming with one finger.
Still does it with one hand operation off.

Once I figired out how to use it its great. Jist dont try and scroll on the left and right edge.

Cool I can zoom with one finger. Love this feature now since I only scroll from the middle of the screen.
Still no disabling of this feature?

Thank goodness for AOSP. I'm on AOKP and couldn't stand this feature on Stock based roms.

+1. Is it even worth stepping back from jedi 6.1.2? The only thing I can think of is the better battery life of the stock rom over the custom ones if all we are getting is the multi windows software from this.

I've noticed that there are new ink colors for the pen on the lock screen. Also, it feels like haptic feedback is a bit weaker.

Try under display. I see it on clean ROM, and someone said theyd noticed they were rearranged I bet they included that as well.

For some reason the multi view is not working any more.
I got the little tab. . But when I click program like google mail and Chrome the open in full screen. It worked for a few hours but then it stopped. ..

Multi Window works here. Completely stock. Had to manually update it and flash in recovery tho

Patching it using ExynosAbuse breaks the camera now, though.
Back Button does not activate multi-window
I am on stock ROM no rooting done at all.
After the update, tried to hold down the back button but will not activate the multi window.
I can only activate it on the notification bar.
Please advise and thank you.
I would make sure under settings that its enabled and if it is then try a reboot and renable the feature as I have two notes one which is stock and works just fine

If you mean multi window....the t989 has never had that working. No one has strained themselves trying cause many feel 2 itty bitty little screens would be "neat" to see, but not functional. Multi window is better left to tablets.

Has anyone else noticed that there a noticeable lag when turning off the screen? The slight fade out animation seems to stutter and there is about a 1-2 second delay from when i press the power button to it actually doing something. This is probably one of the weirdest places for a phone to lag.
Anyone else have this problem?
I'm running on stock rooted BTW.
EDIT (more info): This doesn't happen right after a factory reset. I takes a bit of time for it to happen which makes it seem like some app messing it up, but it happens even if there isn't anything installed besides the default stuff.

I coudn't make it work, I put it in my SD card, got the phone off, then put it in recovery mode,start installing but always get an error, don't know why. I got the SM-N900T, Galaxy Note 3 from T-mobile.

I just flashed that same file and it's working fine. This file is for the Samsung keyboard only. It won't theme anything else.
I also have no idea what your second line even says.
