Here is a stock rom CWM/TWRP flashable MDL for M919 : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2274795
Check it out, it works perfectly.

If not for "Added minor modifications (extended power menu, init.d script, rooted, proper updater script, etc.) "
I'd love it. I guess I may be stuck with that and unmodding the power menu.
Thank you for the reply.

Just noticed, it's not using a semi-stock/stock kernel (loki of course wouldn't be considered part of "stock" hence the semi-stock). http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2261013 looks closer to stock, but he is saying it's not a full install.

[Q] Is this the correct rom to install to my device?

Hey, I am new to the forum and this is my first post so the first thing I want to say is HI! I hope to become very active here in the future.
Firstly, I'm pretty new to android and I need someone to clear something for me, Currently I want to install the PAC rom to my T-Mobile galaxy s4, the model number shows up SGH-M919.
I was looking around and I came across this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2295673
Further scrolling down, I came across this download link: http://d-h.st/mrL
I downloaded this file but I'm not sure if this is compatible with my phone. T-Mobile SGH-M919, I'd rather not brick my phone.
Can someone please aid me in the process of making sure that this rom is compatible with my device?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Regards, Lelouch.

You COULD use that as long as you download the correct kernel from here. Or, if you want to skip trying to find the right kernel, you could use this ROM, which is the exact same thing, just built specifically for the m919. The biggest thing to remember is to not flash anything meant for the i9500 (the octa-core version of the S4). Other carrier's S4 ROMs though, just use a T-Mobile M919 kernel and you're good to go. If you don't feel like adventuring outside of the (mostly) absolute safe ROMs, just don't click outside of the current section you're in.

I will use the new link with the one designed for the M919 for safety.
Also, I have a question about kernels.
Can you just flash them the same way you do with roms through CWM recovery?
Are kernels and ROMS interchangeable? EX: Kernel A comes with ROM A and kernel B comes with ROM B, Kernel X is stock. Will kernel B And X work with ROM A?

1: Yes.
2: Kinda. As I said, you can flash any S4 ROM (minus the i9500 octa-core); just be sure to use the T-Mobile kernel. The only place you will find kernels (on XDA anyway) for the T-Mobile S4 is at that link I provided. To expand, you have to realize that each ROM is either going to be TouchWiz (stock) based or AOSP (CM, ParanoidAndroid, etc) based. The ROM's OP should tell you which they are based upon. Most of the kernels at that link are for either TouchWiz 4.2 (which would be stock TouchWiz or Google Edition 4.2.2), TouchWiz 4.3 (which would be the Google Edition 4.3), AOSP 4.2.2 (which would be CM-10.1 based), or AOSP 4.3 (which would be CM-10.2 based). As long as you match the correct kernel for the correct version of whatever ROM you want to use you will be good.
One comforting fact is that if you happen to forget to flash a TMO kernel (or flash the wrong TMO S4 kernel) after flashing, say, a ROM from the AT&T forum, you're not going to do any sort of permanent damage. You will just be unable to boot. Just go back into recovery, wipe everything, and start over; no harm done.

I think I have a better understanding of kernels now, before I only knew how they worked and the way they communicated between hardware and software, etc.

[Q] Proper steps to getting back to stock kernel

Hey guys. So, I've been reading and reading and flashing and everything.
Got an S4. It was running 4.3 and I was having Wifi issues.
I had read it was a software issue and welp, I've always liked Cyanogen Mod so I installed that.
It installed the nightly build which was WAY too buggy (I use my camera a lot and it kept failing) edit: but the WiFi worked perfectly!
I got back to 4.2.2 now but now the WiFi is Totally not working now and i'm getting that message about
Kernel is not Seandroid enforcing
set warranty bit : kernel
and it takes forever to reboot.
Since I was on 4.3 do i need to flash that stock rom to get my stock kernel back?
Or can I install deoxed version??
I still need to put custom recovery too!
I know this is a lot of questions and i'm not much of a n00b.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

If you are using any Cyanogen/AOSP/AOKP/GE/KiKat roms then please ignore the following.
If you are using a M919 Tmobile Samsung S4 Jellybean Touchwiz 4.2.2 based rom then here is
the way to fix your wifi issue.
Here is the download link for Ktoonsez's custom kernel:
http://ktoonsez.jonathanjsimon.com/sgs4/TW/KT-SGS4-JB4.2-TW-TMO-12.12.2013.zip
Download it and flash it using cwm/twrp recovery and the wifi will work for you again.
Good luck!
I'm running the stock rom but it seems like somehow it didn't overwrite the Cyanogen kernel.

That means that this kernel is for you..... "IF you are really running the stock rom".
If your rom was REALLY stock, I mean if you "ODIN" flashed the stock rom using the
official Samsung M919 4.2.2 Jellybean Touchwiz firmware from http://SamMobile.com
or other sources then whatever kernel you had the stock rom would have over-written it.
If you are sure that it's not over written that means that you have NOT ODIN flashed the
official 4.2.2 M919 MDL firmware.
Good luck!

Is anyone having issues flashing Aroma ROMs on 4.4.2 Rooted?

This is my device at this point:
1. Rooted 4.4.2
2. Stock T-Mobile ROM
3. I can flash SinLess ROM v2.1.2 with no issues after reboot
ANY Aroma ROM I try to flash (for example, DARTHSTALKER_NOTE3_V6), after reboot after installing results in a bootloop at the Samsung screen.
Are NONE of the Aroma ROMs not working on the T-Mobile Note 3?
I would really like to flash the DARTHSTALKER_NOTE3_V6 but can't if I can't get past the Samsung screen on a bootloop.
Any help would be most appreciated.
Darthstalker is a 4.3 base ROM. It won't work on a 4.4 bootloader, which is what you have if you took the OTA or flashed the Odin 4.4 package. It's not Aroma, it's just that most of the Aroma installer ROMs haven't been updated to 4.4 yet. And Samsung made the bootloader incompatible, so once you are on 4.4, you can't boot a 4.3 ROM.
Same with recovery. Make sure you flash 4.4 bootloader versions of TWRP/CWM or it won't boot.
so what IS a 4.4.2 with Aroma and NOT AOSP?

Thank you for the insight, I was seriously under the (wrong) impression that DeathStalker was a 4.4.2 ROM. I really didn't know.
IS there a list of 4.4.2 stock rooted ROMs with Aroma? You wrote "most of the Aroma installers haven't been updated to 4.4 yet." Which have? It's very confusing because honestly, i was looking and didn't see that DeathStalker was a 4.3 ROM. I went back and looked and noticed a bunch of JB stuff in the list of enhancements which gave it away.
Well, if anyone can suggest a good stable 4.4.2 ROM with Aroma and not AOSP, I want to keep the SPEN functionality that is still missing in CM. Although I do LOVE CM. Used it religiously on my S3.
thank you in advance.
I honestly don't know of any that have. Any reason you want an Aroma installer? It's not like you see it after the install is done. Most modded stock ROMs will list the "base" ROM they started from in the OP. Check that, and if it's a 4.4 base, it will likely work fine on your 4.4 bootloader phone. There's going to be a bit of a rough patch for a while as the ROMs get updated and users get updated. You just have to read up on each one to verify before installing. Just do a thread search for "bootloader" or "4.4" and read some of the posts. Chances are, it's been asked and answered in the thread if you look.
I'm just running a rooted stock build without Knox/CIQ, the stock ZIP that teshxx posted in the dev forum. Then just used Titanium Backup to un-install any bloatware I didn't want. Add a few Xposed modules, and it's a quite good ROM.
If you like CM, the SPEN does work. It acts a bit like a mouse. It's the built-in apps that don't work. You can replace the functionality of many of them. But if you really like some of them, that's not a great option. I ran CM/AOSP builds for a while, but decided the stability of a stock ROM was more important to me right now. I'll probably be back on CM after a while. I like the speed boost from the slimmer ROM.
Awesome reply

What a thoughtful and excellent reply. Thank you very much. I'm looking at MyROM Revolution and may download that.
Honestly, I wanted Aroma because it seemed so much more customizable upon installation rather than taking the vision that a dev had for the ROM they created. I may well be wrong and thank you for the update on CM and SPEN, good to know. I just didn't check out the official CM thread as I had heard no SPEN support yet.
I'm running Sinless ROM and while good, it has a certain non-customizable feel to it. Just looking for something lighter, just not as light until everything is stable of CM.
thank you and if anyone has any suggestions for any 4.4.2 ROMs with (or without) Aroma please pass them on.
Is there a list of 4.4.2 ROMs that are compatible?

A few questions:
1. Where is the international forum for the Note 3?
2. Where can I find a link to the X-NOTE ROM? (I searched at the top-level of T-Mobile Note 3 forums and found nothing in results)
**UPDATE: IS THIS THE FORUM? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2472301
3. Is the international X-NOTE ROM compatible with the T-Mobile device and if so, what is lost/not working in the international version that exists in the T-Mobile version?
thanks in advance.

It's that one. N look at there questions&answers thread has how to flash it basically download wifi nfc blue tooth fix and wootevers kernel. Wipe of course. Flash rom(CSC is default and also choose NO kernel) one done go on and flash wootevers kernel then the wifi fix. Zip should be a go I did it reverse and wifi was bad flashed it again all gravy
---------- Post added at 08:42 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:39 PM ----------
Oh also the side effect I had. It deleted everything in my internal so make sure you put the kernel and wifi fix on ext SD so you'll hace it available. You'll eventually get your pictures back and music too but not 3rd downloads from the net or apps like wallpapers of screen shots. Be aware

Well with the information you've provided I'm left not knowing a whole lot, so I'll just assume you're on the latest nd8 build and if so here is the link to that stock rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2741413
please make sure you read the Op, because if you are not on the nd8 build you DO not want to flash this.

how'd you have trouble? and the latest ones flashable are under the name ND8 and NDC....
If you're on JB 4.1 it is mandatory you update via unrooted through PC ODIN first before you actually flash the KK TW Roms.
Stock Unrooted L710VPUDND8 or Stock Unrooted L710 BST/VM NDC
Once you're done then you can head to these two threads for the stock odex/deodexed versions of the ROM
Stock Rooted SPH-L710 Sprint Model or Stock Rooted VM/Boost ROM
Kudos to @jdsingle76, @DR_CDMA, @CNexus for these.
The stock ROMs don't carry tweaks. But there are great and standard tweaks you can find on XDA-D. But you should
only use it as a last resort if you're device really does need it. One tweak would be Operation Killjoy by Team Kernelizers
and the other is ComaDose v3.5 mod tweak mashup for d2spr by Goddly.
( Kudos to @Exit_Only, @kobridge, @Phakker, @j_ding84 and @idcrisis for all of the insane mods/tweaks and @Goddly for the mashup ).
Thanks guys I'm running miui 4.2.2 currently I'll look into the threads posted thanks again. Do I need to flash the nd8 tar if I'm on 4.2.2 already?

TWRP / Philz Custom Recoveries

This is for those of you who would rather use TWRP recovery instead of Philz recovery.
You can use the TWRP recovery which the N920T Note 5 people are using.
It will work perfectly, however it does not support OTG which means that it
will not recognize external flashcards , pen drives or card readers until it gets
upgraded.
You don't even need to odin flash twrp if you are already rooted, you can
simply extract the recovery.img file from the twrp TAR file and flash it
using flashify or any other flashing app which can flash IMG files.
Of course you can odin flash twrp if it's easier for you or if you are not rooted.
Late last night I flashed twrp without any issues at all and it works 100% perfectly.
You can get TWRP from the link below:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmo...pment/dev-twrp-2-8-7-1-n920t-compile-t3186706
Be sure to give thanks to @Manh_IT for his excellent work.
Have a great day!

Right, I sure did.
You cannot flash roms until you have flashed a custom recovery like twrp or philz first.
Then you need to flash @arter97's rootable kernel and superSU.
Once you do that you can flash any of the zip file roms here in this G928T forum.
I just made a thread with a new rom. "SuperStock Custom Rom"
Here in this G928T forum.
Check it out, even I am using it it's so good. (and I am very fussy )
Here is the link for the new SuperStock BOH6 G928T Custom Rom:

Good luck,
Have a great day!
That's what I'm running with note 5 twrp arter 4.3 so roms have to be ported to 928t before we can flash
Thank you so much for this, after the install of the recovery, which version of the kernel do you think is best right now? I saw you referencing 2.4 somewhere (cant find the post) but I am unsure if the most recent is best to use from arter97's homepage?

Only other phone models need to be ported if used with our G928T phones.
Our G928T phones will work just perfectly with the Note 5's twrp recovery.
All of the G928T custom zip file roms will work just fine with twrp and arter v4.1
or v4.3 on our G928T phones without needing to be being ported.
