Please help. My Galaxy Note 2 suddenly rebooted on its own and is now stuck showing the logo screen. It has never been rooted, but it did restart itself once before about a week ago. I wasn't too worried because everything worked alright after that. But now it's done it again and it won't get past the logo screen no matter what I do. I've tried getting it into recovery mode using volume up + home + power but it won't show up. I've also tried ODIN flashing it, but ODIN tells me I have no Pit Partition. I've had the phone since October last year... I never got an update from Samsung, which is odd, because everyone else I know that has the phone has had an update on their's.

This is well known bug on note2, unfortunately you may not aware of it, old 4.1.1 have this issue and samsung have patched it in jan 13 with new 4.1.2 firmware. But as you said you never got that. Anyway you can update to any country rom if your region doesn't get updates. Read all in one thread in my signature.

I hv no cwm.when I go to recovery..,, 1 reboot system now., 2 apply update from adb.,, 3.apply update from ex.storage.4. Wipe data/factory reset.5 wipe cache partition..6 apply update from cache...plz I hearly request u give me a way.how I reflash..waitng fr ur answer

You have to flash rom in download mode with pc odin.
Read all in one thread in my signature. Download stock rom and flash. Instructions are available on thread
After reflashing, still you may stuck to samsung logo, but you will have recovery. From recovery wipe cache and data and after that it should boot normally.

You don't need motherboard replacement, you just need reflashing stock rom.

i'll suggest u send it samsung service centre its not ur prob. u got a brand new device, if in case they don't cooperate with u than u can flash stock rom on ur own.......

I'm really skeptical about this being a hardware issue... I wasn't doing anything when it decided to start "boot looping". Is there really no workaround to a stock N7100 getting fixed after a soft brick like I'm experiencing? I can still boot up, it's just stuck looping.

Are you sure you are using appropriate kernel ? U hope you're not installing other roms over jb kernel ... That just won't work.

I'm currently using FrostyJB_4.1.1-STOCK-M1 with the kernel it came with, the modem ext.. Is in my Signature, be4 i flash roms i hlways Odin to stock
USA (T-Mobile) 2012 August 4.0.4 T999UVALH2
after that i re-root and flash the ROM of my choosing After doing a super wipe ofcorse

I am still having stock recovery can someone tell me where i can find only (official)CWM recovery zip file for this version........ Sorry dude but i want cwm recovery not twrp and plz provide me a link to an official thread...........so i can read the reviews and then flash cwm........i won't trust anything which is not verified by others...... I guess u lack some commen "sense" =) if i didnt love custom. what i'm i doing on this forum ? =)) why should i make some simple mods (watch signature)

I know one can't stay whole day in recovery but theming is another cool option provided by team work recovery project. Other than this there are a way more options in twrp compared to cwm

I was running Vanir 4.4 nightly on my lg e980 with twrp and I installed a Ota. It booted back into recovery and I'm sure I lost root. I did a factory reset and lost all back ups it has no files on it at all now. I have a back up on my pc but it won't link. Can't see the lg on my pc anymore any help plus.
Bro. Go to the general section. In it, you will find a page called recovery Bootloop Help! By yours truly. There are many options that people gave me, one of which I did successfully (aromafm.zip) Please look around before making a new thread. The less clutter in our forums the better

Look up ADB 15 Seconds on Google. Download that tool. No need for the .KDZ its a waste of space with that tool around. If you need help, or are unsure of how to do something, PM me. I will guide you.

I have an At& t note 2 that has been rooted and currently running baseband I317ucubmk6. I am unable to download ota the new kitkat firmware. I believe it is because of the phone being rooted and?or possibly because of bootloader not allowing downgrade of firmware. Not really sure. Can anyone help me unroot this ? return to stock firmware so that i may upgrade or how to to get the kitkat. on my phone? Thanks in advance

Basically your gonna go back to 4.1.1 then ota to 4.1.2 and it will crash then pull the battery and go back to download mode and flash the mk6 bootloader and it will boot then just ota again and you should be good to get kitkat should be about 800mb when you get the update
