Ive followed that thread but that doesnt work to well if you text quickly. It lags behind and changes to the wrong word. I hope this gets figured out thou, its a must have.
Sent from my SGH-M919 using xda app-developers app

If that doesn't satisfy you download the stock jelly bean free from play store or download swift key for some dough. Those are the options.

Haha i guess that is my only option. It does it more when I'm text messaging. I did try taking word suggestion off (unchecked it) but it didn't work. I think that is what is causing the up and down on the screen
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
Also to fix it go to the settings app then language and input then click swype settings then go to prefences then word suggestion and uncheck word suggestion and show suggested word but keep auto-correction checked if you want to keep auto correction on
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
Thanks for the info. I tried that and it didn't work. i have all the settings unchecked and the suggested word still continues to come out.

lulz? I too would like to find a fix to this problem. Using the Swype keyboard... for Swype...
---------- Post added at 02:36 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:15 PM ----------
Actually I just found this version of Swype
https://www.dropbox.com/s/88ar62071w8ghr0/SWYPE-ICS.apk
which is version 3.26.92.39062.
This version seems to solve the problem by keeping the suggestion bar continuously active. Kinda lame, but better than constantly resizing. Also, the accent color is blue instead of that cool orange...

You have to root, (backup and) remove current version with something like Titanium backup, reboot, then install.

It's part of ICS. Was a little odd to see at first, but a handy way of switching keyboards. I suggest you get used to it cause future versions might still have this as part of the OS.

Just search the threads for how to root your phone. Its easy takes about 10-15 minutes not even. Then after you have root, download the app from the play store and uninstall anything you want, just be careful not to uninstall the wrong thing.

The only problem with that(and any one that I have used) is that the flash does not work. If FC's when the flash goes off.
I have yet to find a version that has a working flash.

What Rom are you using? You are the first person I have seen that say the flash works.
I have been thru many roms, even flashing back to stock and thus unrooting, then rerooting and none of the versions I have tried (3. or 4, including the one here) have a working flash.

In that last photo, you have the flash turned off(you can tell by the empty circle on the right). In that case it will work great. Don't mistake the light coming on in that case as the flash. The lighr you see is used to focus only.
Force the flash to be on or set to auto and take a shot in a dark room. When the flash tries to go off it will force close the gallery.

So, no Force Closure but your flash didn't work as intended right? I assume we should see "something" with flash, unless you were in a field with nothing to reflect the flash.

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using xda premium
Interesting, and technically impressive, but IMO the screen is physically too small for "windows". I barely like them on my 17" laptop. I guess I'm just too used to my pair of 22" monitors on my PC.
Got some tweaking to do. But works great.

I have it working but I had to change out the system ui to get it to work properly. Would force close for some reason going to tablet mode and only tablet mode. I'm gonna download the file again and try it again. It is a really cool mod though.

It's all working now. Before xperiacle put the ui switcher app we had to manually change the dpi with a build prop editor. That was when it wasn't working properly in tablet mode. I could of had a bad download also. I redownloaded the file and is working fine now.

I don't think this will help you, anyway. That build.prop tweak just gives you onscreen controls. I've never used Carbon so I'm not sure what the options are. PA includes a Tablet UI.
