Yes, but i want the new update too. where can i find the ROM includes this and can i flash it over the existent rom?

Read and search man, all the info is there. There is uncountable guides about how to root an un-root and why and what it does. Just make some search you will find all you need. No need to start a thread for this.

To install CyanogenMod on Note II

Hi!!
I just wanted to ask if I have to be first root on my note II in order to install CyanogenMod, that's right?
can I install CyanogenMod rom on my note II without being root?
Cheers.
J.
Yes you need root and a custom recovery

Check out www.galaxynote2root.com for all the info you need on rooting, flashing and recovery programs I have heard this rom can be a little unstable but have not yet tried it. I use WanamLite rom and love it, very close to stock with more benefits and very stable

Read the CM10.1 nightly thread, it has instructions.
Hi,
Just wanted to ask if cyanogenmod is stable enough for my Note II. I am looking for a stable rom... the closest one to the stock because I would not like to get a stone as phone...
Is WanamLite working properly?
Regards and thanks!
I tested both roms for same time, both very stable. However my opnion is that if you want a rom very similar to stock what is the fun? Nothing new to play around.
I'm using now Moon v8, a lot of features, good battery and no issue so far.

Well, sure - I'll have fun installing a rom and all that stuff but I had an iphone and I got tired saving everything before jailbreaking and then install everything.. when a new version was released the cycle again... so I'd like to have a phone with cyanogenmod o whatever mod rom but I don't want to change rom every time... at least I don't want to save my pictures and do a list of apps to download after installing a new rom because last one was unstable.... you know what I mean? I hate Samsung stock.. but works fine.. I think...
Thanks.

The latest official stock ROM in my country is JB 4.1.2 ..... Am i missing something ??
If you don't use custom rom. No matter just put the latest firmware.
If you enjoy custom you must put a custom kernel and another recovery like pgilz or twrp
Which 4.1.2 build are you running? Anything after dll7 I think should have the fix implemented.

If I install a stock based 4.1.2 rom such as alliance and do not install any special kernel, will I be safe?

It's the build number/version. Can't exactly remember how to check it on Samsung roms, I think you dial something like *#1234# in the dialer.

Try rooting and installing custom rom. It might solve your issue also as it resolve my random restart problems before.
Btw I used android revolution hd v17.

[Q] Question about firmware

Hi, this is my first post here and I've done some searching and I've got confused with the firmware names between stock and original.
Currently I have a T-mobile 4.1.1 baseband T889UVALL4 with T-mobile firmware.
What I am trying to understand and do is change from t-mobile firmware as it has t-mobile apps to a samsung firmware and their apps /non t-mobile apps.
Is this something possible? Where can I find these firmwares and what is the latest version?
Thanks & regards
First off welcome..Why dont u give tweaked a try. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2242972 Its the only rom I use on my phone.. You have the ability on install to choose the amount of bloat u want and it's super customizable....... as for the international roms be mindful they don't have wifi calling
Sent from my SGH-T889 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
Look up teshxx in the development section he has stock samsung roms. Keep scrolling the different roms til you find the latest updated one, cause he have quite a few posted. If you ever want to try a custom rom, try Jedi x14 by ptmr3 which is great.

What is the difference between factory and stock image?
Ive seen the topic where it has all images for t889 but I cannot distinguish what are those.
If I want to have a samsung only firmware on my t889 , what king of file should I be looking for?
Tks
Anyone? Any place I should look?

Factory and stock should be the same just wording. What are you looking for ? Do u want a rooted stock rom. If so downloaded teshxx deodexed
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2102380. Like I said before if you want a rooted stable customizable (without flashing anything else) try tweaked

Hi, thanks for your help. What I am looking for is remove anything related to T-MOBILE from my phone, so it looks like the Samsung Firmware without T-Mobile apps, in order words, to look like the international Samsung Galaxy Note 2, unbranded.
How can I do this? What is odexed/deodexed btw?
Tks

Hi deeznutz1977 thanks for your help.
From what I could read, a ROM is something you put on top of the firmware.
Is there anyway to put a Samsung firmware from scratch without those T-Mobile brand on the SGH-T889?
So it would be a brand new firmware, no ROMS or t-mobile apps.
Thanks for you help and patience.
Best Regards

Why install custom rom?

Sony has professional coders. Every custom rom I have installed have had bugs. I want a stable phone without problems. I will stick with stock and rootet from now on!
Happy for you !!
Thank you!
I don't see for what you asking for. Your question is: "why install custom rom?" and in your thread you have answered your question already..
Because I'm open for other views and experiences.
because sony stock roms are buggy, laggy and full of useless cr#p that only about 5% of people actually want and use

i'm on stock... it isn't laggy and the crap you can remove yourself if rooted...
I agree. Stock is smooth and there are guides that tell you what you can safely remove.
Guys,
Surely it all come down to choice.
If your happy with stock, stay with it.
If you want to root and remove the bloatware do it.
If you wanna run custom Rom's flash em.
That's why android is the best mobile OS ever, cause you have the choice to do what you want.
With some help from all our friends at Xda

:good::good::good: that's right n all of em, stock, custom, etc; have plus & minus
i have tried all of em & never "force" to "choice"
Custom roms are just welcome while the authors are still alive!! So you can ask for a bug solution!!
