[Q] C6506 bootloader unlock allowed: no after root? - Sony Xperia ZL

Hey, I got a ZL C6506 directly from the Sony Store and when I got it, it said bootloader unlock allowed: yes. But now it says no after I rooted it. It's still on the stock firmware. I remember reading in another thread a while back it's just an error and the bootloader can still be unlocked or I can unroot/factory reset. Does anyone know how to fix it? Also I'm on .434 FW. Thanks!

It says no but as you mentioned its just a bug. You can still fully unlock your device without issue.

You had an unlocked bootloader. You still have an unlocked bootloader. Don't see any cause for worry.

No, my bootloader is locked, a flash file that I blocked again.
I made the lock to try to upgrade to the ICS but had not tried to unlock then upgrade again and is giving error.

Nope. Bootloader unlock allowed: no means no current way to unlock it.
BTW search for this next time please as it has been discussed ad nauseum.

[SOLVED][Q] Bootloader unlock allowed became No

Update: I just went on and tried to unlock the bootloader and succeeded. Seems that this was just some display error.
Hi everyone, I've had a weird issue pop up.
When I bought my unbranded, unlocked ZL, I immediately checked if the bootloader could be unlocked, and it was (Bootloader unlock allowed: Yes). I decided not to unlock it yet, as there is no point to do it before CM10.1 gets camera support.
A few days ago I updated the phone to .434 (via PC Companion) and while checking other software info in the service menu I noticed that the bootloader cannot be unlocked anymore (Bootloader unlock allowed: No). What?
The new software is also unbranded and everything.
What can be the problem? And will it allow unlocking if I revert to .350 later?

Seems strange! I updated my ZL to .434 as well but my BL unlock allowed still says yes. Let's see what other users say. You may try flashing .350 firmware (of ur region) using flashtool, and see if it helps. See link below for screenshots.

Bootloader Unlock Allowed - NO!!

I just check my ZL and it says Bootloader Unlock Allowed - NO
Does that mean I will never be able to unlock the bootloader and install custom ROMS? I have my phone rooted and its also SIM free if that matters. Would someone be kind enough to explain the consequences?
TIA

Don't worry mate (if initially your "BL unlock allowed" was "yes")! I read it in the XZ rooting thread that if you root with a locked BL then you might have a bug resulting into BL unlock status to not allowed. Doomlord has also posted a fix for this, i think. Have a look at this thread. Hope it helps.

The thing is, I didn't check if I was allowed to unlock my bootloader before I rooted it (banging my head against a wall as I type this). Any way to find out?
EDIT: Nevermind, I see that I have to flash it and if I had an unlockable BL, the status changes to yes, and if not, then nothing changes. However, how do I flash this seeing as how there is no CWM out yet?
AW: Bootloader Unlock Allowed - NO!!
There is CWM:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39157612
But just for unlocked bootloader...
CWM for locked bootloader would be coming... krabapple is working on it...
hi mates,
if unlocking BL, i will lose BE2 & WM right? sr if this noob question was answered before
AW: Bootloader Unlock Allowed - NO!!
Yes, you loose that functionality.
And please don't ask the same question in several threads. Ask once and have patience until someone replies.
I have Xperia Z LTE C6603 with
bootloader unlock allowed:No
I Can change this to --> bootloader unlock allowed:Yes ?
as I can change it ?
Thanks.

How to install CM11 on LT28AT

I just purchased one LT28AT(Sony Ion) from ebay and the seller unlocked it from AT&T for me. Now I am a T-mobile user. Since this phone is still running ICS, I have been trying to install CM11 on it but no luck. I was told that I need to root the phone first and then you are able to install a CM11 rom. I searched all threads here and googled related report. It seems no way to unlock this phone. However, I did see some people installed CM11 on their LT28AT and they also uploaded the videos on Youtube.
Any suggestion or feedback would be appreciated.

Even though Your phone is sim unlocked, You need to check if the bootloader is unlock able, then only You can install cm11. Google how to check if bootloader is unlock able.

Thanks for your reply. I just checked the configuration and the "Bootloader unlock allowed" shows NO. Does that mean this phone can not be unlocked?
