[7/30][Port][Elegant][Universal/Aroma][Clean ROM 3.5V Mods][Additional Options!] - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note II

Please read!
This is my first time doing a universal theme, there are MANY things to keep in mind.
1. Flashing this will vary with every rom, why?
- Every rom is built differently, for example Beans has many XML edits to make the text blue therefore on some roms your text will be stock.
- There can also be edits done to XML's to point to certain images, if you flash this on a rom and it doesnt look like the below images, thats why.
2. VERY important if you guys want this as complete as possible.
-VRThemes work by finding your APK and then extracting the images into its place. For example if you have Gmail.apk in data/app and I have the Gmail app named, "com.google.android.gm-1.apk" then the theme will not apply. Some roms will have some APK's named differently. If you come across something that isnt themed, simply use ES File Explorer and find the proper name for your .APK (usually located in system/app) and PM me with the APK's name and what rom you are using.

I SERIOUSLY got the transparency mod 100% working, there shouldnt be anymore problems. I also added an option for 100%, 75%, 50% and 25% transparency.

Fixed the "in-call" banner to be blue instead of green. This only works for Clean ROM SE 3.1.
Removed lock pad from the lockscreen.
All carrier signal bar and 1X, 3G, 4G are themed. I dont know if I already did that in the last update but yeah.
Aroma is now ICS blue . Looks neat.
5/21/2013 - Added Blue and White clock color options. Revamped the, "mods" menu. Changed the toggle icons for the stock Samsung toggles and lidroid toggles. Themed more white and blue 1X, 3G, 4G icons for other carrier's and international roms.
5/16/2013 - Fixed the Gmail problem, it works perfectly now. Added a selection for white status bar icons! Added the default Elegant wallpaper. 146 S-Pen hover icons and 33 sounds to pick from.
Added Clean ROM SE 3.1 mods. You can pick from:
100% Increment batteries with 13 blue batteries and 8 white batteries.
Carrier logos with 36 different options.
100% and 50% transparent statusbar. (DONT USE 100% STATUSBAR TRANSPARENCY WITH WHITE STATUSBAR ICONS BECAUSE SOME APPS WILL MAKE THE STATUS BAR WHITE.)
4/26/2013 - All I did is fix something in Aroma and themed the in-call statusbar mute icon.
4/23/2013 - I've added Aroma! You can pick between stock battery and 1% increment battery (this varys by YOUR ROM.) Added a themed loading icon, fixed the "in-call" icons to better match the rest of the theme, themed all icons to the right hand side of the status bar to ICS blue. If you notice something isn't themed PLEASE let me know.

Does JellyBomb include a carrier logo? If it does then say yes to the Clean ROM mods option. DONT TOUCH ANYTHING IN THE MODS MENU JUST HIT NEXT then select your carrier logo . Im assuming JellyBomb is Touchwiz.

It's looking great on jellybomb. I can't get the carrier logo to show up tho. I tried on digiblur and it worked, but it made the dropdown toggles look weird. I gotta say this is hands down the nicest tw theme I've ever seen.

Thats means a lot, thanks man. But the carrier logo might not work due to them MAYBE coding it differently. I did an XML edit to simply make it show again. It points to one image (which is the stock image that comes with the phone,) maybe thats not the same image they used when they programmed it. I hope that makes sense.

This works on the Wolfpack mc2 rom. Thanks for posting this. I have only seen one thing that's a little weird. My statusbar clock did not change to the color I selected. I chose teal and my clock is still green but everything else looks great.

Dude your lucky your phone even booted up! I guess you didn't read the terms and agreements or read the section that says, "are you using Clean ROM SE 3.1?" These mods aren't meant for your ROM... That's why the clock isn't changing. But I'm shocked it worked out without boot looping.

I was under the impression that universal meant that this could be used for any note 2 rom. I guess I was mistaken. I saw the option for clean rom in aroma and I indicated that I was not using clean rom but it allowed me to continue to change the status bar. I had previously read that the Elegant theme could be used on any Touchwiz Rom. Here are a couple of links where this is mentioned.

Maybe you accidently clicked yes. Just be careful.
The links you posted above is for the original elegant theme creator. I ported it and made an aroma installer and multiple options. I also made a section for mods on my daily ROM. That's why it says are you using Clean ROM?

I just tried this again. Once I checked 'no' for clean rom it went immediately to the next panel which is titled Additional Theme Options. This panel allows you to change status bar, toggles, etc.

Yeah thats right. You accidentally clicked yes last time because it allowed you to change the status bar transparency and clock color. If you say no itll bring you to select your status bar icon colors, toggle colors and all that good stuff. Thats normal.
Edit: Im thinking you hit yes because you told me you tried to change the clock color and it didnt work. You also have a a transparency on your status bar which was part of my mods too. The clock color is located in the mods menu which you can only go into that menu by saying yes to clean rom mods.
This could all just be a misunderstanding, let me know? Lol.

Contrary to what you keep saying, I never checked 'YES'.. I got transparency by flashing the transparent aosp pulldown
zip file in the wolfpack post. I flashed this before flashing your zip. When I said I chose teal, I meant I chose it for the base color and even though there was no clock selection on your panels I expected it to be this color. Why? Because your screen shots all show the clock as the same color as the base color.

Like I said, its a misunderstanding. The clock color is an XML edit, a theme is replacing images. The clock isnt an image, its a mod. (Which is specific to certain ROMS only, its not universal.) Whenever you tell me, "I selected the teal option but the clock stayed green or w/e" it made me assume you went through the mod menu. Anyways... I just misunderstood you, my bad. Are we good now?
Edit: Your clock is the color it is because the dev made it that way. If you want to change it to teal then follow this guide on how to change your clock color.

While browsing through the SGSII Theme & Apps section, I came across this little gem and thought I'd port it over for personal use. BUT once it was actually running on my phone, it looked even better in person than it did in the screenshots, so I decided I'd ask for permission to post my port, which vertumus gladly allowed me to proceed! 13 LOCKSCREEN MOD BUGS:
1)EXTENDED TOGGLES
It is not included in this mod, BUT doing the following will get it working for you while on it ! Go into QUICKPANEL SETTINGS>WIDGET BUTTON ORDER, and just move ANY one of the toggles to a new position, and you should now be able to view all 12 toggles!!!
2)HOT BOOTS(big thanks to playya)
Prior to flashing the mod, backup the service.jar file of the ROM you're on. Copy it to your phone and then copy it to the \system\framework folder by using either Root Explorer or its free alternative, ES File Manager...OR if you don't feel comfortable doing this please post on here what ROM you are on and I'll post it up for you! I'll eventually start fixing all these bugs, so this is just a temporary fix for those who want the mod ASAP, which is definitely worth the extra 3-5mins or fixing it, IMHO!
TO-DO LIST:
-Will make entire pulldown screen background black, instead of grey.
-Will change horizontal progress bar back to ICS, instead of green.
-Theme Calks v2.6 ROM!

Looks awesome...gonna test it out on Calk's 2.5.1 and Blend 1.5. Will report back.

So I flashed the ICS v1.93 theme over unnamed ROM and it works ok, but I get some forced closures and lost some ROM functionality. If I want this theme, should I re-flash Unnamed ROM (to get toggles back) then flash this theme (to get ICS back)? Does that sound about right?

Everything working fine here on UnNamed
ROM.

Just flash over calkulins rom 2.5.1
And so far so good I did notice when I charge battery it shows red
On notification bar even though battery is at 75% other than that works great

Just flashed the Theme and Dialer over Calk's 2.5.1. So far so good. I noticed the same stuff as quoted above, red battery when charging and the Calculator keeps FC-ing...

PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE INSTALLING
It appears that there are still a lot of you that are going flash crazy and coming from other ROMs that are based on LK8. I will explain a few things about doing this. When you flash a ROM that is based on LK8, and then try to flash any ROM based on LJC, like MacksROM you are going to have the following errors;
Hands Free Activation on every boot, and possibly an error 1500 error, and you will lose your data connection......
Chameleon error upon every re boot.....this is a launcher error msg, as per Sprint...
Gyrene2083 ran several tests with Garwynn and Garwynn came out with this fix. We will never, I repeat never update to a leaked version of LK8. With that said for those who are coming from a ROM that is based on the LK8 leaked version use the fix above. Do not ask for help in this thread, regarding this issue, because the answer is in the link provided, and ask lk8 questions there.....Garwynn worked hard on that fix, and gyrene2083 ran multiple tests of this fix, and it's worked fine.....
Once you have done the above and all is working fine, then you can follow the directions below and enjoy MacksROM....
Directions to Install
1. Make sure you have the latest downloads of TWRP. (You can get this through GooManager from the playstore. Hit menu - Install OpenRecoveryScript )
2. Ensure you make a backup.
3. Reboot into TWRP
4. Nandroid Backup, Wipe Cache 3x's, Wipe Davlick Cache 3x's, Wipe System 3x's, [Unless your coming from a previous version of MacksRom] (Do a factory reset if your coming from another ROM)
5. Install ROM
6. Reboot Let it stabilize for about 10 minutes.
7. Enjoy.

I see Media Hub in the screen shot= does it work on your rooted phone?
I had three bought downloaded movies that wouldn't work after I rooted- the advice was that Media Hub only works on stock phones...

A few things to note.
-If someone has already changed their toggle color it will remain the old color (kinda) untill you open TSM parts and change the toggle color to 100% transparent.
-I was just reading OP and I didnt get an aroma option?

- My bad, i posted the wrong download link... Its fixed now... Sorry about that...
- The next update to Tweaked will break out the TSM toggles, Themed toggles... And Stock... So the recolor wont have any impact in a negative way...

Best version of Motomoto00. It kinda sorta feels like a different theme separate from Motomoto00 with some Motomoto00 touches here and there. This truly feels a distance apart from the others.
I honestly want to thank you for giving this a try and landing it so very well.
Now, on to opening a trouble ticket with the Help Desk. On the lock screen there's this cool lock icon that animates when you unlock the screen. The lock's animation, in and of itself, freezes my screen. It's happened a couple times and intermittently. It's more noticeable if I slide veeeery slowly to unlock.
I'm uncertain if it's a combination of things. I have the MM Big Clock selected. That hasn't caused me issues before. And I also have scrolling text enabled from the Lock Screen settings to display a message in case my phone is lost and found. But even that has ever presented any freezes. I flashed the theme 3 times with changing it up a bit and I notice that unlocking the phone doesn't feel the same. It may very well be something else, but I'll keep looking.
Just wanted to mention this for "just in case".

Wow my favorite theme on my favorite rom. This is awesome. Alex will this work on the Verizon version of tweaked? I have to have this. I actually have motos theme on another rom right now. Awesome work

Greetings. =) When installing Tweaked I kept the default lockscreen out of the box. I haven't changed nor added anything concerning Lock Screens at all. So from here, pressing my finger on any single part of the screen gives me the ripple effect. The lock icon is engaged. As I wipe slowly, the lock icon begins to unlock, twist its metal shaft and release. This is where I've seen the screen freeze.

Will I be able to keep my own background with this theme? Currently I have a photo of my daughter and I like how it shows when I open the menus or settings. Will this remain after flashing?

I have not, Sir it's happened intermittently. Unpredictable and random. So not always did it happen. Only a couple times.

I believe it's the 4.2 Google keyboard.. The one with slide to text and floating text.. The keyboard is an install preference/option on Tweaked I prefer it over the Samsung stock.. Kinda why i said I hope it wasn't too much to mention/ask..

Hmmm I will have to see what I can do to replicate the issue... I have been trying but cant... The thing is, all the lock screen options are just images, nothing that should cause any issues...

Instructions for flashing

Download zip to your phone
Reboot into custom recovery
Make a backup (Don't be lazy)
Flash zip
Reboot
The zip will create a backup in a folder called vrthemeundo found on your sd card of whatever
is going to be themed, so to undo the theme simply flash the backup that it creates.​

Awe man, @foreverloco with his AOSP themes. This just settled it. I gotta grab me the TMobile version on N3 and use on ATT, so I can enjoy your theme buddy.

Fix will be in the next release, but til then you can flash the zip attached at the bottom to fix it on this one .

I was actually working on inverting the contacts and phone apks, but ran into issues with apktool. It decompiles and recompiles fine, but resources get scrambled after compile. The current version might just not be 4.3 friendly with all our apks. If anyone has been able to decompile/recompile that apk without issues please let me know. Haven't had any issues with any of the other apks I've tried yet.

Nothing major, I just noticed that the battery wasn't displaying the correct % at low levels. I missed that there were 2 additional battery xmls that also needed to be modded. I also threw in the mms contact name text color fix.

Beautiful! Thank you for relieving us from the horrid Fisher-Price look of TouchWiz.
One thing I found - in the dialer, the tab names at the top (Keypad, Logs, etc.) are in white font, should be black. Same thing in the settings screen of the SMS app, so I figure you already know about it, since they're probably related.
Also, the blue color in the status bar text and icons is a little too dark, I think. On stock Android, it's a little brighter.

Two additional battery Xmls. Spread out over 7 different folders for a total of 17000 unneeded or duplicate.. * deeznutz1977 kicks Samsung in the nutz. For being so retarted
I was joking Considering I don't have a clue to the amount of unneeded difficulty Samsung inflicts. But I've heard. There douches...... side note foreverloco Lte icon looks good..

Forgot to add the contacts bar text... Flash the zip attached and it'll fix that up. As for the status bar text, if you mean the clock, no its the right hex. I edit the clock line in the xml to use the AOSP style which is in the styles xml and it uses the holo color of the framework (hex value ff33b5e5) and the icons are from straight aosp icons just resized and refined a little to fit our phone. I did a bit more work on the signal bars to make them look a little more crisp so that might be why they look a bit darker. The battery icons I made from the stock ones resized and colored to match the rest.

Which text? I think the only text that was white in the mms was the contacts name at the top of the message, but I added the fix in the 0.6 update I posted earlier....
Edit.. Scratch that.. Just re-read and saw you wrote in the settings.. Gimme a few and I'll try to get another fix out lol. Sorry about that

Ok. Here's a fix for the white text in the mms settings bar. Sorry for all these little fixes, once I have a bit more done I'll add everything together for the next update.

This theme has been tested and confirmed working on 4.3: Jedi Elite, Wicked and Darthstalker. I do not know if it works on any other roms. If it does feel free to mention it. However should it not work, there is no need to post.

Xposed Battery themer:
Must have the xposed framework installed http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401
Once installed, check the module for xbattery themer and reboot.
Next you can go into the module and select a custom battery from the list. Simply hit apply and it will chamge your battery immediately without a reboot.
To get more batteries, select the themes button and download . Once you download and install you will need to open the battery themer, exit it, then ooen it again and the battery will automatically appear.
So this theme is not a small file by any means and i did not theme individual app icons in order to keep it slim (so to speak). However I have included an icon pack i created to accompany this theme. It is however a lite version and somewhat limited. Since I have included this lite version free, XDA rules permit me to link to the full version on playstore for those who want more customization.
