Steps:
Download the Xolo Q1000 Root.zip file
1. Install the Mobistel_Cynus_T1_Drivers_x86.
2.Connect your phone in USB debugging mode. It can be found in Developer Options.Tick the USB debugging option.
3.Open the mt6589_rooter folder & click on run.
4.Press enter when told and the rest will be done by it.
5.Reboot your phone.
6.You will find SuperSU installed in it.
7.Open it and you will see that your phone is rooted.
8.Update the SuperSU if you wish..i will recommend the update. I have uploaded the Super SU & also its pro key which can be found in the Super SU folder.
9.If you want to confirm whether your phone is rooted properly download Root Checker app from PlayStore or Titanium Backup Pro (included in the zip file).
Enjoy your rooted Xolo Q1000
NOTE:This method is only applicable for phones having mtk6589 chip.

Why do you want to swap partition when link2sd provides better benefits? Swapping will still consume more internal memory as the apk and lib will not be moves to external. I have q1000 and use link2sd to link all files into ext partition on sd card and its pretty fast.

Open file /system/etc/vold.fstab, find uncommented lines with mounting sdcard0 and sdcard1. Swap digits 1 and 0, save, reboot.
Swapping..not a problem in Xolo Q1000

I am using the option default write disk..phone storage or sd card which is there in the storage option in the settings..Solves my problem with running HD games which have extra files in excess of 1.7 GB:victory:

Go to Settings-->Under Device u will find the storage option-->Click on it--->Now u will find two options- Default Write Disk i)Phone Storage ii)SD Card-->Click on SD Card.
Now click a photo--->go to file browser-->select sd card 1-->go to DCIM-->Click on the camera folder..u will find the recently clicked photo.
Use Camera Zoom FX which a better camera app than the stock camera app in JB.

I have ordered my xolo q1000 and m waiting for its arrival. Devs with xolo please make impressive custom roms, this phone has impressive specs same as canvas hd and canvas has custom roms so its time for xolo to rise..

u can swap the memories without rooting the mobile...it is an inbuilt feature that lava has given
Having same hardware and specs doesnt mean that one rom built for one specific phone can be used for other...different scripts has to be written 4 different phone.

Can anyone tell me where i can find USB debugging on my Q1000? I know it's at Settings -> Developer Options -> USB Debugging.

I know the solution to your prpblem, just go to settings->about phone->and tap on "build number" seven times. Its a feature in jellybean to prevent anybody from accessing these options. After 7 taps it says "You are now a developer" or something like that and you can access usb debugging and other developer options.

Contact the people you bought the phone from. You should therefore buy these phones from reliable source like flipkart etc. Thats the only help you can get.. They should probably give you a refund.

Hey,
I need to know whether heavy games such as nfs and others can be installed directly on the sd via this link2sd, is that possible? Internal memory is obviously less in the q1000 and moreover there seems to be some partition on the device. The phone memory is divided into the 'internal storage' and 'phone storage', apps are always installed to the internal storage but xolo provides a feature to install them on phone storage. Apps do not ever occupy the sd card. Can link2sd solve this? Or do I have to swap memory as the final option? Swapping also has risks such as if i remove the sd one fine day the phone may possibly crash. Expecting some solutions. Thanks in advance....
i can notice a bug in video mode of camera app in Xolo Q1000. It is already zoomed in to a level which is degrading the quality of videos so recorded..is there any way to fix it...???

Bro If u want to play big games like gameloft just use FOLDER MOUNT app thats it..
U wont need to swap storage..

Sound like it needs root fixing, download and install busybox has to be installed in system/xbin folder there's a choice on install location then install using normal install, once done try the root fixer app I shared in the c1904/1905 root method to fix the root and see if you can edit the system files then let me know if it's successfull

Install supersu from market then find a root uninstaller app and uninstall the Chinese su app that's how I did it on the dual sin firmware

yeh dude ur rite.... it was version problem. i was using 1.6... rooted successfully with 1.7
As the title say, follow this guide to deodex your stock or stock based(Sling,VDT etc) roms.

Before doing any thing Always Make Nandroid Backup
Things Needed
Java(https://www.java.com/en/download/)
Rooted Device
Usb debugging enabled(for pulling files)
Downloads
http://d-h.st/pCI#.U4cLVPmSwgM (based on Kamome tool)
Guide
extract the downloaded tool
run main.bat(be sure to run as admin)
select option 1 create working folder (if this give you subdirectory already then created continue anyway)
Now Select option 2( phone should be connected to pc with usb debugging enabled and phone should also be on charge only mode)
Select option 3 (this should take some time to deodex files)
this step is optional Use option 4 to add deodexed files to zip and flash them via recovery or you can push via adb(search google)
To flash from recovery
copy zip file( you created before ) in the phone
go to recovery
flash them and reboot

Hy @umair928 thanks for useful instructions but i am unable to deodexed sling v 2.1 using this method. It doesnt pull the required folders ,i even manually placed app,framework and priv-app folders in system but it doesnt deodexed nor create a flashable zip .This tool is for xperia z and i think it has to be edited a bit to work on our phone.
PS:If youve deodexed slim rom kindly mirror that for me i need deodexed rom thanks

May be you are doing something wrong, have you installed proper adb drivers and java. This method works perfect with stock or any custom firmware(I deodexed, 30b, 30c and sling rom) . I have also deodexed htc m8 stock rom with this...

Ok it's working now and i can't beleive problem was running Batch file as an Administrator. This i time i just launched batch file without Adminstratot permissions and it worked . Strange .

I was also wondering . I have deodexed Sling v 2.1 but still i cant change stock Messaging apk i wanted to replace that with one which is in JB but it FC . I tried installing Flex sms apk but that also FC . Any tip please?
PS: I am just placing apk files in system/priv-app and permissions set to RW R R.

That's because the framework is different. Changing lg framework may help you to get sms app working, but it may make other apps to FC

Dear Ahmed vai,
Thanks for the response. My phone is working well with Sling Rom as there are options of Selecting 2g/3G. Whn i select 2g only, the phone;s network signal is good and if i select 3g then the network bar up and downs severly...and no one reach me / i cant call to others. So, I am always select 2g. No way to find out the solution and In sling My front camera is not working.

this is based on f180 ROM and f180 doesn't have FM Radio.

Well, sling is not a custom ROM. It's actually a cooked firmware. If you're searching for such a cooked firmware based on stock kk for E975, nothing so far.

Go to CWM....
Wipe Data/Factory Reset....
Wipe Cache.....
Wipe Dalvik Cache......
Format System in Mount And Storage...
Install ZIP....
Wait Till Installation Complete...
Reboot

. Google Play Store Fix- Install Titianium Backup On Your Current ROM and Backup following threee apps.
Google Play Store, Google Play Services, Google Service Framework.

Problems with Wiko Stairway
So I just installed this ROM, been testing it for a day, and I must say I love it. However, I have a SIM exclusively for the data. I usually have it on the second slot and had no data. And when I put it on the first slot I got data, but no 3g. I tried flashing the original modem.img and I still got the same problem. Is there any way to fix it? Thanks a lot!
not able to port to my zen 701hd
zen 701hd has the same chipset as canvas 4 have, but i am not able to port funtouch on my phone. I know how to port from same chipsets, but for this particular rom i am not able to port.
I will be glad if someone helps me.

Hi, i use Kingo Android Root program on PC ( conect USB cable ) and got Root access for 2 min . Then install super SU
Oh Kongo root app works? Where do u download it from? There's too many scam sites for mobile lol xda is the only on I trust

One thing I'm struggling with is using the External SD Card. I've selected it as the "Default Write Disk" in /settings/storage but that doesn't seem to do anything, i.e. app are not using it to save data there. Am I missing something obvious ?
I now have a rooted colorfly g708. Kingo app works! For those who are desperately googling and not finding answers haha.

Yes, i have same problem with SD card . One of the Problem is the Kit Kat permission with SD cards (just Google it ) The guys from 4PDA forum working on solution. We need recovery and then replace internal/external cards.

The other problem we have so far is the OTA Update.
If you have EN ROM : G708 Oc_SV1.00_KV1.0_20150121_EN There is NO OTA Update.
But people who has ROM without EN in the end , They Got OTA Update to version G708 Oc_SV1.2_KV1.0_20150122 This OTA Update package is 74mb. and can be update from tablet. If some who download latest OTA Update package please share it.
Also i am looking forward to MIUI6 5.1.13 ROM for our tablet
Yes Memory/SD Card Management is a mess in Kit Kat but there's an additional bug on the G708 I believe because on my Moto G/4G I can choose the SD Card as a path for apps that use maps for instance. Hope some bright brains can figure that out in the future!
Any good enhancements to do once you're rooted? Like removing the useless screen capture "soft" button maybe? So far I've only used it for ClockSync for the NTP synching of the clock.
I contact with Colorfly support about OTA Update for EN Roms. I hope that they will assist us.
About the screenshot button, i read that cannot be remove, but will see.

I used the "market helper" app to get access to all the "market" apps but I'm getting a "Missing shared library" error on quite a few apps. Some googling seems to indicate it might be Google Maps related but Maps is definitely available on the G708 so I'm not sure why. Anyone know if there is a workaround? Thanks!

They told me that so far, there is No Official sale in Europe, thats why there is No OTA Update for _EN ROM !

I have new Nubia ZTE Z5S Mini NX403A, there was hard to find information about upgrade and root so here it is, all in one thread!
When you buy Nubia ZTE Z5S Mini its came to you with Android 4.2.2.
When you plug in phone to computer by USB cable you can install USB drivers right from device. Make a backup of this drivers because after upgrade you will be not able to access it again.
There is a copy for you: USB drivers for ZTE Nubia Z5S Mini -> download
When the drivers will be installed turn on USB Debugging mode. (Settings->About Device, click a few times in Build Version to turn on Developers access. Now go to Settings->Developer options.)
First step is to root your device.
Root ZTE Nubia Z5S Mini – download
Download it and extract. Run íżbatROMdiyí┐╣Ąż▀¤ń.exe file.
Wait till your phone will be detected then choose option "05....." from the menu in CMD window.
If the installation will be completed then you will find two new icons Link2SD and SuperSU on your phone screen.
To install TWRP Custom Recovery you need to install Flashify app.
Download, extract and copy TWRP 2.8.6.1 Recovery into SD Card and also copy to SD Card file ui.zip with theme for TWRP with English language unless you know Chinese (more themes for TWRP here on XDA)
Install and run Flashify app. In app menu click on Choose File and select TWRP2.8.6.1-Recovery.img file from SD Card.
Confirm.
When your phone will reboot go to phone memory and inside TWRP catalog create new one called "theme" and put there ui.zip file.
Download an copy into SD Card these two files:
–Android 5.0.2 CM12 temasek-v9.4-nx403a.zip
–gapps-lp-20141212-signed.zip
NEW UPDATED ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=62249397&postcount=4
Run phone in Recovery Mode. (Hold in the same time: Power button and Volume Up.)
From TWRP menu choose Wipe (Wipe your phone to factory settings before you will install new Rom)
After wipe choose from TWRP menu option Install.
Choose from SD Card temasek-v9.4-nx403a.zip file and confirm installation of new ROM.
Reboot your phone and enjoy your new system
If you want Google Play Store and other Google apps install gapps-lp-20141212-signed.zip file the sam way you installed ROM from TWRP Recovery.
You need root your phone again. Download and install SuperSU from Google Play
Go to Settings->Developer Options->Root Access and choose Apliactions and ADB
Run SuperSU, accept root instalation and choose CWM/TWRP option.
If you get "soft brick" of your phone you can recover it with this instruction.
Rom do not have any bugs or errors. Works fine.

When I upload it here it was free, now file is deleted, so you don't need to register, because there is nothing at all to download there. I've seen it but it is for Nubia Z5s i think, because it's written nx503a. my device is nubia z5s mini which is nx403a.
