Arrrghh! Taiwan device?!
There's no nandroid which matches your version-main, you can try to restore this backup : http://d-h.st/K7O
if you have officially received the JB update, it should work...
If you want to flash a custom rom, ICS roms won't work on your device because of the updated touch driver... Go to android development / original android development section and choose a JB rom!
also use this recovery, it is the only recovery which has a fully touch interface and works flawlessly: https://www.dropbox.com/s/p35p0tqf41jbj8b/recovery.img

New Phone problem

Hello there I am having problem with One X that I am trying to solve. My original post was in incorrect forum and from what I understand to fix my problem I need RUU for my specific version. So if possible can someone tell me what version of the phone I have and what RUU I need. Original post is here with all info and pictures. Thank you very much guys:
original post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1713925
Install stock rom of your CID
-fastboot oem readcid (to know your CID)
then follow this tutorial -
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1609190
ping me if you have problems
As you are stuck at bootloader, try to find your software version.
Connect your device to PC, make sure you have all the fastboot files and drivers installed.
In fastboot, type : fastboot getvar version-main, you will see the software version no. Then you can look for that RUU.
Example, mine is:
Code:
C:\WINDOWS\system32>cd\
C:\>cd fastboot
C:\fastboot>fastboot getvar version-main
version-main: 1.29.707.11
finished. total time: 0.006s
C:\fastboot>
Oookay here is what I got
C:\Users>cd..
C:\>cd android
C:\Android>fastboot getvar version-main
version-main: 1.28.707.10
finished. total time: 0.104s
C:\Android>
Now what I need to get ? Cause I don't see country and stuff. Here is screenshot of where I am at atm.

I can't charge phone because if I plug in charger it solid RED LED on top with and without charger so LED means nothing if it showing "Charging" even without charger plugged in. After about 30 mins phone just dies even with charger plugged in. Please I need help otherwise I lost over 600$. HTC Would not help me at all.

[Q] Stuck between tow OS

Hey!
I have a HTC one X and right now it is in a fase between Paranoid android, and Android with HTC sense. the reason it is that way is becouse i miss somthing in the installation. so i tried to get i back to stock rom, but all of the ruu i found won`t work, i think i am running version 3.18.40. i can not reach the "recovery" meny. is there a newer ruu out there that i can use?
Are you sure it's the right RUU? Do fastboot getvar version-main to be sure.
Did you lock the bootloader before running it? fastboot oem lock
Also, did you run the exe as admin?

You have a relocked bootloader ! Unlock it and continue

[Q] Can't flash or change anything

I faced a strange behavior of HOX (tegra). It stuck in bootloops - complete boot, starts apps, then black screen and reboot, and all over again till battery drain.
But strange thing is that i can't do anything - all changes that i do disappear after reboot. Deleted files has returned. Disabled wifi|bt are working again. But there is more! About a year ago i has unlocked bootloader, flash cwm recovery. Now, if i flash other recovery (even stock) through fastboot, i still see my old cwm. If i do full wipe in recovery - phone still boot and all apps and files are there. fastboot oem lock has no effect - phone reboot and have "unlocked" message.
When i flash other rom from recovery, of course, nothing changed, however this process goes without any errors. But it does it too quickly, so i think it don't actually writes anything, only "simulates".
Maybe it hardware problem? Or some wicked setting that i've miss?
Arrgh! Looks like a hardware failure to me...
Post the result of fastboot getvar version-main
May b running a ruu or restoring a nandroid might fix this... However, if the Bootloader isn't getting locked... Then I'm afraid running a ruu would be useless...

Phone isn't mine, so i don't know what exactly happen, but owner said, that phone's batter just drain, so he attach charger, phone boot and start looping.

I can flash recovery:
Code:
fastboot.exe flash recovery endeavoru_recovery_signed.img
sending 'recovery' (5786 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.863s]
writing 'recovery'...
(bootloader) Format partition SOS done
OKAY [ 0.557s]
finished. total time: 1.425s
But after that recovery still cwm, whatever i flash - stock, twrp or other cwm version.
So i've managed to load RUU mode with "adb shell reboot oem-78". When i try to flash firmware.zip in stops at "adopting the signature contained in this image". So, i think, bootloader must be relocked. How can it be done not by "fastboot oem lock"? Maybe there is another way or command? Maybe patch file or so?
I was trying do something more and was found out that i even can't run parted on dev/block/mmcblk0. So, i think, i will return it to it's owner and he will send it to service center.
If I find out what the problem was - I write in this topic

HTC Desire 816g Dual Sim ( D816h) (mt6592) Bootloader Unlock

So I have been trying to unlock my bootloader for four months, and have failed literally every time at the same step.
The step being, fastboot oem get_identifier_token
Waiting for device
Unknown command
Time taken 0.003 seconds.
If anyone can help me unlock my bootloader, that would be great.
Also, I am unable to enter into 'hboot', it directly goes to recovery mode. (volume down + home button). All my device drivers are installed (HTC sync manager recognised my phone once, but after it recognised all the music, it immediately showed no device found).
This is my current situation, please help me out here!

2. If you cannot get the Identifier Token of your device, as you said, you cannot proceed to Step 7 and submit the Identifier Token to htcdev. And so they cannot email you the "Unlock_code.bin" file.
3. Can you upload a clear picture of the page you enter by pressing vol down+power?
4. Are you sure your device is supported by htcdev? (your exact model is not listed on their to be selected. Ask htc.com via online chat whether your device is supported or not.)

" on my cmd which waits indefinitely, but when i press volume down, the screen says unlock failed, and goes back to another screen which is supposed to let me choose whether to reboot, reboott bootloader or anyything, again there i cant use my col up button.... im pretty sure it isnt broken

I guess that the problem is the mode where the device is in.
1. In your device's "Developers options" is there two following options?
USB Debugging
OEM Unlocking
2. If yes, are both enabled?

His device is the Indian dual sim version (HTC Desire 816G / MT6592). The only way to flash any os on this device is using flashtool and this rom.

Really? But why? And btw I have a d816h, not a d816g, as stated in the ROM you linked me to. I flashed this rom: http://www.needrom.com/download/htc-d816h/

(What is your getvar all information?)

1. Download Mi_A2_Lite_Splash_Maker.zip and unzip the archive file
2. Put your 5 custom graphics files in the *png folder, but preserve their names (01.png, 02.png, 03.png etc...and keep their original resolutions)
Original splash.img includes those pictures:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
3. Run the file CREATE_SPLASH.bat and after the script is done you will get splash.img in the Output folder.
4. Flash new splash.img via the fastboot command
Code:
fastboot flash splash splash.img

WORKS !! THANKS search0123 :fingers-crossed: :good:
anyone have cool splash img? do share ty
Dark images included work well with paranoid boot animation, thanks! No more blinding mornings...
Good to know... Custom splash does not affect OTA to 10.0.7.0.

I don't have a Windows but python should be cross-platform...
Because I have a Mac, I had to run xcode-select --install to get zlib in place for Pillow.
I had to pip2.7 install Pillow to get the PIL library that the script wanted.
Then I could run python2.7 splash_gen.py and it produced a splash.img for me.
no more full screen unlocked bootloader warning. thanks
I conpreased the image file as a zip when I go to twrp which should I select boot or something else

current-slot: a
Finished. Total time: 0.003s
[Thirteen:~/Files/Mi A2 Lite/Splash/images] link$ fastboot flash splash splash_stock_dark.img
Sending 'splash' (1460 KB) OKAY [ 0.080s]
Writing 'splash' OKAY [ 0.032s]
Finished. Total time: 0.159s
[Thirteen:~/Files/Mi A2 Lite/Splash/images] link$ fastboot reboot
