Bestskinsever - One (M7) Accessories

Just wanted to say that I ordered a full body kit from bestskinsever.com and I am super impressed. Yeah it doesn't come with a squeegee or the spray solution but it was also only 9 bucks instead of 30... You make your own solution with a little dish soap and water and use a credit card for a squeegee.
I have never had such a nice screen protector or back protector before though. You can hardly tell that either are on the phone. The matte finish rear matches the finish of the silver HTC one perfectly. The front has a matte finish piece for both speaker grills with perfect cutouts and a semigloss screen piece. I had a Zach on my screen that the Zach rep put on for free when he came into my store and it is night and day how much better this screen protector is than the Zagg. Not only is it crystal clear and you cannot see it is there unlike the orange peel of the Zagg, but it is also smooth ad glass and does not have that rubber feel.
Sorry I can't get any pictures of it installed on the phone due to the phone being my only camera but I would t be showing you much anyways .... It would be hard to tell in pictures that the protector is even on the phone.
I opted not to put the side pieces on my phone cause I feel it is unnecessary. I ordered the devilcase silver aluminum bumper which will be here tomorrow so that is why I wanted scratch protection for front and back of the phone.
Oh.. for all of you paranoid about your camera.... It also comes with a piece to protect the camera lens.
All in all I give bestskinsever a 10/10 in terms of aesthetics and quality
Also very fast shipping ( probably because it only had to travel across the state in my case...I live 30 minutes drive from where it shipped from... Wish I coulda done local pickup lol

Screen + Body Protector ?

I was trying to find screen protector for HTC aria and all i found is from ebay. Zagg invisible shield dont even have it yet
On the zagging you could order the hd mini and cut for the optical
being a user of zagg on previous phones i can't imagine it playing very nice with a touchscreen.
Screen + Protector?
Try Amazon.com the screen protector product is made by Amzer for the HTC Aria.
I am a new user so I can't post the link.
I just purchased the screen protector from AT&T and the edges on all 4 corners protrude ... when I put the back case back on it pushed each corner up.
Has anyone else had problems with the AT&T protectors?

Keep in mind that the Amzer protectors don't ship until 7/13 (according to their website).
Me? I'll probably go the HD Mini protector + hole punch DIY route that others are suggesting. Too many opportunities to scuff up my screen with kids in the house.

I have the same problem with the screen protectors I got when I bought my Aria. I will apply another one tomorrow and cut the edges before I apply.
Zagg are great for touch screen
I have been using Zagg's stuff on my old iPhone and my wife's iPhone and they worked great. I actually prefer the feel with the invisible shield applied. I am bummed that they don't have one that is designed for the Aria yet. Anyone actually tried the HD mini one with success?
I got the Amzer® Rubberized Black Snap On Crystal Hard Case for HTC Aria. It doesn't ship 'till 7/13, but that's only 2 weeks, so I can live with that. I got this case because it's like a soft/hard case, and I think that will work better than an all-hard or an all-soft case. Then I got a Gadget Guard screen protector. I was originally going to get an Amzer screen protector, but I read reviews saying Amzer's screen protectors are really bad. Hopefully, their cases will be okay. This is the only company so far I've seen that are making cases for HTC Aria. I didn't know what AT&T had because I bought mine at Best Buy. Btw, from Best Buy, you don't need to do the rebates, because they already include it in their price.
as for the screen protector i got a package of 4 universal screen protectors
from there I took a hole punch to make a whole for the optical button then applied the screen protector to the phone without the case and trimmed it with a razor blade.

Zagg has one up on their site now. Just ordered mine.
Figure it's time to star contributing /something/ here, instead of just lurking.
zagg is now selling screen protector, or full body protectors
Edit... aww eff someone beat me to it... same reasoning as well.... sigh... haha
Has anyone ever used the Phantom Skinz?
I briefly tried a Zagg Invisible Shield (invisible my ass) on my previous phone and it made the screen noticeably less clear and it was very hard to clean pocket lint off of it because it was so grippy.

I used to use them on all my blackberrys. You just dip them in water and apply it to your device. To me they all look the same, I would say that phantom is not as thick as zagg but performs just as well.
Does anyone have feedback on the zagg cover for the back of the aria? I am surprised that they even make it since its got a rubberized type coating. The screen protector is a must do, but the back I cant see for the aria.
Of course they come out with the specific cover days after I buy a different one and cut to fit. Dohhhhhhhhh!
Another thumbs up for Phantomskins. Easy ordering, fast shipping, easy installation.
For the first 24hrs or so, (Dry-ish california weather) the screen touch sensation is a bit grippy, but after a day or so it becomes slick again.
I ordered front only as I see no need to protect the back, and if there is a very nice case one day I will get that anyway. My immediate problem was protecting the glass front. So I ordered just the front skin, which covers the entire phone front as shown on the phantomskin website.
After drying, viewed at an angle the surface appears wavy but viewed straight on it is perfectly invisible. Skin fits aria perfectly.

Screen protector that cover the entire screen?

What are some good screen protectors out there that doesn't cost a fortune?
I'm convinced that Martin Fields is the best screen protector on the market. I scratched my Martin Fields today badly in the middle; unfortunately at $27 a pop, I really don't want/can't afford to buy another one.
I got some screen protectors from dcmungen last month off ebay after hearing good/decent reviews, but upon applying them today. I can say that dcmungen protectors are hot garbage. The protector doesn't cover the whole screen, the cut is terrible, it feels like rubbery Saran wrap, not glass like Martin Fields.
Clarivue. Mine's been great. Only has cutouts for the front camera, earpiece, and light sensors.
You'll like it more if you have a case that covers the very edges of the screen, as the protector doesn't go all the way up to the edge.
I really like the Invisible Shield products. Had one on my G1 and have one now for the EVO. It covers everything but the Camera.

not if he doesn't like a rubbery feel and wants it to feel like glass, because the zagg's feel incredibly rubbery.
I picked up some case-mate protectors at a Sprint Store, precut and cover the whole front. [cmo11782] package of 3 $12.99
ghost armor is the best IMO, tried stealthgaurd and invisoshield and they just feel weird, never really liked any of the .99 cent ebay or $10 sprint store protectors. ghost armor feels natural on the screen and does a good job protecting it.

I'll try this.
Ghostarmor and Invisibleshiled = garbage. I have tried both; doesn't feel smooth like Martin Fields.
I got some screen protectors from the ebay auctions with batteries, case, and cables, and am pleasantly surprised.
They cover the whole screen. I want to take a hole punch to the front camera slot. The clarity is way better than the Sprint's anti-glare one. I was really beginning to hate my screen until changing to a clearer screen protector.
My only gripe could just be my faulty install, but the edges are coming up every where my old screen protector didn't cover. I figure it's from the oils left behind. Also, if it gets dirty/oily, it tends to get sticky & make Swyping difficult.

I love my clairvue also. I've been using martin fields for my last 4 devices but lately their screen protectors have been much easier to scratch than their earlier material, and because of that, they became overpriced for me. I tried a clairvue as a replacement for my martin fields on my old TP2 and thought that it was good quality for much less cost, so then i went for it on my Evo.
My innocase rugged combo also came with a seidio screen protector, but it covered the front camera and sensors also. Although i don't think it should matter in theory, i appreciate the cutouts that clairvue has for their evo protectors.
BoxWave are the absolute best. They feel smooth like glass; can't tell the difference when they're on or off screen clarity/quality-wise; they have cut-outs for the light sensor, earpiece, and camera; and they go all the way to the edge so if you put it on right with no dust or air bubbles you can't even tell it's on.
I have had my Evo since release day. I have no screen protector on it and I show off how awesome the screen is by taking my keys to it at least once a week. I also have zero scratches. I can attest to how big a waste of money a screen protector is on the Evo.

Zagg and others
Guys and Gals, I made the mistake of putting a Zagg film on my Evo and let me tell you that they stain and yellow very quickly. These types of vinyl products stain badly and apart from turning yellow, it was getting a dark line across the front of the film which corresponded to the black leather holster I put the phone into...the black leather staining the film across the front. In addition, a fingerprint developed on the surface of the film that would not go away. All this happened in 4 weeks. In other words guys, the film offers great protection, but if you like the clarity of the screen and don't want to be looking through stains on the Zagg screen protector, save yourself some time and money and go find another screen protector. All these films, like Zagg, that claim that they're used to protect helicopter blades from nicks in the military are the same crap. They all stain. Yes, they'll gladly replace the product if you call them, but you're back to the same staining film. In my book, that's not worth the effort. That's my two cents worth.

Best Screen Protectors for MT4G

So what do people recommend as the best screen protectors to choose from for the MT4G?
I know everyone has their own opinions on them, but I'm hoping people can post their pros/cons and we can help us all narrow down the choice to a few.
Thanks!
the phantom skinz screen protector! pros: clear, nice feel, covers the whole front. cons: none if installed correctly.
I like the Reallook one. Clear, durable and feels like the glass.
I had the realook and phantom skinz. I settled on phantom skinz. I have the full body matte, plus clear phantom skinz. (Don't install the matte screen protector from PS).
Realook is very good with clear BUT the only thing that sucks is that you get ALOT of oils/fingerprints, etc on it. Easy install and easy clean with soap/water.
Phantom skinz gets oil on the screen too, but not as much. Screen surface is alittle "gummy". (Orange peel is very little to non existant). Watch out as the adhesive backing will attract lint (during installation) and you WILL not be able to get that off. PS also has lifetime warranty = unlimited screen protector replacements. (got the whole kit for $12 during 50% off cyber monday).
Don't bother getting invisible shield, they suck and give you orange peel, and it's thick.
@Jaylito,
Did you notice any kind of cloudiness after you cleaned your screen with alchol/towel? (assuming you've cleaned your screen with alcohol/water) For some reason, mine clouded up on the top.
yeah I have. I guess it's normal tho. goes away if u keep rubbing the screen back & fourth with ur thumb. guess since the material... if it gets wet, it'll cloud a bit cause the moisture seeps thru the inside but it'll dry out bro.
guess I have to do more rubbing then cause it's still cloudy...
oh well....
I tried PhantomSkinz and that was a pain to put on (w/ water and soap), Realook was easy and it didn't peel at the edges.
Zagg Invisishield. Lifetime Warranty.
realook, hands down.
pros: crystal clear, feels like the glass itself, easy to clean, easy to apply, easy to reapply.
cons: a little expensive ($10 for 2, but its totally worth it)

Weird... for me, PS was MUCH EASIER than realook.
PS allows movement up/down/left/right with ease, and then you just squeeze out water.
For realook, it sucked to align the edges cause you can't move the film once you've "stickered" it on. Then you have to peel it back off and realign, causing lint (in my case) to adhere, and then I have to clean it again.
For me the realook was the best by far. I tried a couple of the wet app kind like invisishield and clear freak on the 4 mt4gs that I had and the realook was the best. I agree its a pain to put on, especially if you have animals because of dust and hair, but if you apply it in the bathroom after letting it steam up from the shower, I've found I can get it on without too much dust or hair falling on the screen. Also, get some extra scotch tape and place it on the front of the realook screen to keep your fingers off the adhesive side while applying it. Another nice thing is that each protector comes with two dots to apply to the camera lens in the back.
The only bad thing is that I think the realook attracts fingerprint grease worse than the wet app kind.
I have a zagg on my nexus s mostly because its all that's out right now and will put a realook on as soon as they are available.

The Boxwave screen protectores look pretty good too, though I've never tried one myself.
Ghost Armor. Just added it today on my 4G n its cut to fit perfectly, including the sensors n camera. FEELS like the real glass n doesn't take away from the display like the ones Tmo sales. Avoid those *****es like the plague.
I used Zagg for my Nexus S.
I get generic ones from a guy named lcd-protectors on ebay, 5 for $3.50. They're the stiff kind with two protective layers that you peel off, one before you apply and one after. I'm too cheap to pay more.
i just ordered a full body cover kit from stealthguards.com
choosing the clear type and none of the colored ones, it was $2.85 (full body protection, just pay shipping)
$2.85 sure beats dishing out $25 for zagg which is the same crap.
What do you need a screen protector for? I haven't used a screen protector since I bought the G1 at launch, and I've never had a screen scratch. Keys in my pockets, etc. Never been a problem. These screens are incredibly scratch resistant.
I love these screen protectors that I bought on Amazon. Perfect on the first try with no bubbles! Check it out here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B004E49TEG/ref=mp_s_a_1?qid=1294786757&sr=8-1:
BoxWare screen protector is well IDK how to rate it as it is just regular. What I did not like about it was it does "NOT" fully cover the screen as you have little gap very small which bugs me as I am neat. The feeling right now is artificial as I can tell it is there maybe cuz its still new as I applied it just 2hours ago. So lets wait and see how it turns out in long run.
I grabbed a Reallook screen protector off of amazon:
Pros: The feel and clarity are great
Cons: The cut. It has a cutout for the FFC and leaves a fair bit of space on all sides (as a result it's easy to get on) but it's really short on all sides in my opinion.

My experience was just the opposite. My InvisibleShield kept peeling but my dry install screen protector was near perfect. I had the iPhone 3GS before the Atrix so I had a Power Support screen protector.
I just placed an order for Realook. I'll report in when I get it!
From the description, it is very similar to the Martin Fields protector which is slightly thick but strong and difficult to scratch.
I purchase this one early before the Realook was being sold:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004PDHS9Y
It also has good reviews from other Android phones and it comes in 3 pcs/pkg. I'll compare it to the Martin Fields.
i just bought skinomi ones for like 16$ :x
I think the Realook screens are some of the best out there. The surface feel of it is very good albeit not as slick as those anti-glare ones. They aren't the most anti-finger goo, but they're not any worse than any other screen. When the phone is off, and you look at the screen in just the right light and angle (usually 45deg oblique under a fluorescent bulb) you see a very obvious rainbow effect. Not very desirable, but is not visible at any other time so it's okay.
The protection is adequate (never really tested but it works for me). The fit is excellent. Its the regular stick on kind. No touch sensitivity impedance. I've been waiting for the realook one for the Atrix for a while now. Don't understand why it's so hard to just cut plastic sheets...
Best part is that they're not stupidly priced. $10 for 2. Good value.
My room mate got the otterbox case and it came with a screen protector also. I think its one of the best screens I've seen. It seems to be very very anti-finger goo. Gonna look into it.
So I got my Realook cover today so here is a short review:
The packaging came quite professionally and included the standard stuff you would expect from a premium screen protector: microfiber cloth, alcohol wipe for cleaning, and some applicator to aid in putting it on. Each protector was individually wrapped. So good so far.
Now the bad. Both protectors I received were slightly warped; this means that the protector is not very thick. When applied, the warp goes away and does not affect the adhesiveness. What really annoyed me was that they decided to cut out a hole for the front camera; that in itself is not bad, but they decided to cut a U-shape out to the edge of the phone instead of just a circle. This, to me, is laziness or cost-cutting. This cut leaves a part of my screen unprotected. The second issue is that the part around the speaker hole are slightly bent and bubbled, making the protector not stick perfectly on the screen.
See my attached photo for these two issues.
Overall, I would give this protector a 7/10. The protector also shows a rainbow hue when seen from an angle. This doesn't bother me too much, especially when the screen is on, but I expected more. All in all, for $11 bucks for 2, it's not a bad bang for the buck but I'll probably try a SGP. Does anyone have a reveiw for the SGP? Does it cover the camera hole?
the Skinomi has the same outline for the camera.. I think it's standard for our phone..

Trust me when I say cutting the U instead of the circle is better. With the circle, if they just punch it out, it warps the material between the speaker and the camera, and leaves a bubble. iPhone 4 screen protectors are bad for this. The AT&T official screen protectors do this too, and it works fine.
I will be putting mine and the gf's on tonight..

Protector for chrome on camera

is there any type of screen protector material for the chrome on the camera? I hear it gets scratched very easily
Maybe Zagg will make one. Most reviewers see how it scratches so easy.
AT&T will sell the Zagg full body at least. I'm going to try to cut out a custom fit from reg screen protector.
That's a pretty small piece to protect. Knowing Zagg, it'll be $10 + shipping for just that piece.
Alternatively, you can get a silicon skin for the whole phone which I heard fits pretty snug and doesn't add a lot of bulk.
I just bought the gel case and it keeps the back of the phone off the objects you lay it on

food wrap film will do it
I bought the skinomi carbon fiber full body screen protector. It protects every part of the phone including the chrome. Got if from amazon. Might be something to consider.

Awesome idea.... Gonna go and do that now. Thanks man!
The store employees repeatedly offered me a "cleaning pad" that stuck to the back side of the phone. They put it on the camera metal. They would come take it off to wipe the screen and then just replace it on the back over the camera metal again.
I just got the Skinomi carbon fiber full body screen protector, and slapped it on. It looks good, but the quality of the clear screen protector is pretty bad. Not as noticeable when the phone is on, but could be much better. The warranty is lifetime, so I might get another. The carbon look parts look really good, and should protect against normal use.
. Ps, the clear screen protector hadn't dried yet. Now it looks fine. The carbon look is pretty cool..
The guys on this thread who have the Skinomi full body protectors, can you post some photos of it applied to the phone?
I'm in the UK and have a white 900,so I want to see which bits of the phone don't get covered by the skin as the bright white would be very noticable if there are fitment gaps.
I'm actually on my 2nd handset in a week as the buttons on the first one were loose and rattly. However, on that first handset the camera chrome got scuffed in just 2 days even though I kept the phone wrapped in a screen cleaning cloth. I've left the OEM protective film on my new one until I have something permanent, just like the OP has asked for.
As selection of colours for a chrome protector would be cool too. Hopefully someone will come up with this on eBay before long In the meantime I'll cut up a 'generic' screen protector into a make-shift skin for the chrome.
IGG full body protector also covers the chrome on the camera. The only cutout on the back cover is for the camera lens hole and the LED flash hole.
I'm using mine under the black cover so the shiny look isn't a bother for me. Just looking to protect the back from being scratched by the case (or debris that gets between the OEM case and the phone body) which I've seen happen on an N9.
I'm going to make one from a spare screen protector I have. I've just checked an the camera hole is the same size as you get from a hole-punch....so I've got a screen protecter here with me in the office today
Here's my temporary solution, a Nokia cover, a strip of electrical tape and a hole punch.
I'll try to get a decent one cut out so that I don't need to cover it up with the bumper. I may also see if a printing company I've worked with in the past would be able to knock up a few sheets of clear, single-coloured and maybe patterns or designs. Chances are it'll be too expensive, but it can't hurt to ask the question.
Bleh. The chrome on my camera is all scratched up. I hate how it's curved.
