[Q] I want Tmobile ROM on GT-I9505 - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 4

Hi, I am totally a newbie for this. I have got Galaxy S4, which is GT-I9505 but then I would like to have T-mobile ROM running on it. How far is it possible??? If so can you please guide me through each steps. Also please give me the dis advantages of having Tmobile ROM on GT-I9505. Thanks in Advance.

The rom which you want to flash, that version should match your mobile version. If you want to flash tmobile version of rom, you may hard brick your device.
Hit thanks if you think i sabed your device

type your mobile name and the carrier on which you are. and the name of the rom you want!
if you want some other unofficial roms, then make sure they are supported by your carrier device. ask the developer of that rom about this. plz click thanks insted of saying!
:laugh::good:

Basically take whatever ROM you want from the i9505 and flash it via CWM or any custom recovery, but NOT via Odin; this is due that Odin flashables usually include the i9505 modem... It won't brick your device, but you will be left without a signal.
Btw, make sure you flash a Samsung based T Mobile kernel (original, faux etc) AFTER flashing the ROM you want. Otherwise you could have a potential soft brick in your hands .
To wrap it up, it's :
1- Flash rom of choice via custom recover, not Odin
2- Flash T Mobile, Samsung based kernel via custom recovery.
3- Enjoy!

You can safely flash any of the Tmobile S4 Touchwiz Jellybean 4.2.2 cwm/twrp flashable custom roms.
The Wicked and the Darthstalker roms both work fine on the i9505 Galaxy S4 phone.
You can find both of these excellent custom roms in the "T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 4 Android Development" threads.
Both of these roms are based on the latest M919UVUAMDL firmware.
If you want more information and details about these roms you can find it in their threads here in xda.
Always do a full wipe including Factory Reset, Wipe System, Wipe Cache and Wipe Dalvik Cache before flashing.
Be sure to make a nandroid backup before flashing any roms.
Good luck!

[IDEA] Port international firmware/ROM's to T-Mobile Note 2?

Considering the similarities between the domestic variants of the Note 2 and their international counterparts, would anyone be willing to test some of the success that the folks over in the AT&T forum have had with porting the international N7100/N7105 firmware/ROM's over to the T-Mobile Note 2
Check out these two threads over in the AT&T forum and see what you all think:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2016575
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2018411
The basic gist of the procedure is to use a custom recovery like CWM or TWRP to flash a stock N7100/N7105 firmware, and then flash your carrier specific modem/kernel.
Why would anyone want to do this? Well, for starters, you would benefit from built-in stock-supported tethering, and a few other features that carriers disable (YMMV). But mainly this means that the domestic versions of the Note 2 can benefit from the development of the international versions! So, when the latest version of Android comes out for the rest of the world, we aren't stuck here waiting for our carrier to catch up to everyone else...
So what do you all think? Anyone willing to try?
I have see this post on att

Actually, there is a port of cm10 for the ATT Note 2 device, it was ported from the official cm10 for the N7100 device by madmack. I'm running it on the T-Mobile Note 2 and to tell you the truth, it is very stable so far even if it's coming from a nightly build. Check out this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2024495.
Once you go to that link, go to page 24 or 25 because you need to download 3 zip files in order for the rom to function correctly, also make sure to download the modem or radio because you need to flash that as well. Before you flash anything make sure to go to the OP for that rom and follow instructions thoroughly. If you're concerned for the S Pen functionality, don't worry, it works, I just had to download an app from the play store called Memo (which doest the same stuff as S Note.
Well if you wanna try, I don't have the time but .....
Here is some stuff to help you..
Do a Nandroid backup. or Titanium backup.
Do a full wipe,
Flash the rom you want, if given the option don't flash the modem
then flash Jedi-X Kitchen http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2106549
Then if you had to flash another Modem for that Rom then flash http://downloadandroidrom.com/file/GalaxyNote2/tmoroms/JediX/T889V_Modem.zip if that fist your PHONE (tmO)
I may do a video on it in Youtube if i get time but the omega rom was just taking too long to download so i am not trying it tonight.
I am going to flash Jedi X
Nite...
See you on yTube. http://bit.ly/YT-DL-SG
It didn't work

I just tried this, and while the Omega ROM flashed just fine, I had no radio signal, no data, no calls, and the phone would not recognize my SIM Card. That is after flashing the Jedi Kitchen and the radio provided in the link.
The Omega ROM looks pretty awesome, it would be nice to have it working on TMO Note II's.
Disclaimer:
I have to admit, I've flashed 4 different ROM's so far, and only two of them have completed the install. The rest have failed during the update, or caused a boot cycle. This includes the Jedi Master ROM. So it's entirely possible I'm doing something wrong.

ROOT BOX is an ATT ROM that works well
CARBON NIGHTLY | KROZ HUE THEME | CRACK FLASHER
It is actually posted in the n7100 that all roms need to be ported to us carriers and gives procedures on how to do so
Not saying the guys in the posts before mine are wrong but need to be careful when flashing n7100 roms without porting them the proper way

Hey did you ever try a complete wipe using TWRP as your recovery factory wiping then system wiping as well, I Also found depending on your SD card if you can back up your Sd cards Sometimes it is helpful to start with just the files you need to flash on the sd. Make sure that you only flash the correct radio. For me that was the latest radio I think its the second down in the list for the jedi kitchen part.
Feel free to contact me but I am very busy so I apologize ahead of time for being slow.
Can anyone answer if 4G and LTE is still working or is it 3G only? Are you able to still roam the same?

If you are on AT&T than go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1737848
If you are familiar with Odin, which you should be since you rooted your phone just use it to install the stock ROM. You will lose root so just be aware in case you want to flash another ROM later.

Yes you can flash N7105 ROMs on your T889. They're pretty much the same phone just the N7105 is the international version. Pretty much any ROM you see for t0lte is safe to flash on N7105/ T-Mo/AT&T Note 2's. There is a list of ROMs in the dev section also. Just make sure you always have a backup of your current ROM in case you run into any trouble.

If the rom does not have a option to retain your current radio.. after you flash the rom . you will have to flash the correct t- mobile radio ..
So read the OP Post carefully in that rom thread. or ask the op about this..There have been people say they have lost imei number due to incorrect radio.. So understand what you are doing first..
If your not experienced with android and so on. Its SAFER TO STAY With roms in the development area of this forum... Thou some in the other forums do state to work with what your asking..
Its not always the same for every rom. so there is really not a true yes or no answer to the question..
as said above they will all work.. but might need modem change

Yeah any ROM for t0lte is going to be AOSP, which is pure Google I.e. nexus devices. AOSP ROMs dontn have spen features or multi window features. So if you want those features and want an international based ROM I suggest JediX 16. It can be found in the Dev thread here. It's Samsung TW so it has all the functionality you need and had the latest N7105 4.1.2 base. So check it out. Hope I didn't confuse you.

does flashing the I9505 rom affect the raido frequence?

i have a question, going overseas soon(china). does flashing the tmobile s4 with the I9505 international Rom affect the radio frequency of the phone? does it change it to the same radio specs as the I9505? or it will remain on the original tmobile S4's band?
thanks

To answer your question, No, flashing the I9505 ROM to your M919 will Not change your current M,919 radio installed on your T-Mobile M919. If it did, there would be many people hard bricking their S4 's
With the above being said, Always check to make sure the ROM your installing doesn't have a radio cooked into it. In most All cases they don't, but it doesn't hurt tottake a few seconds to check the thread.
Usually the only ROMs that include a radio is when you ODIN back to the stock firmware.
Thanks, in china right now on the tmo ,whicked rom. Everything is working . Will flash alpha rom on my last day here, dont want to mess with it right now,

Alpha 7.3 just dropped.
Don't use Superwipe in Aroma though.
A Full Wipe in Recovery and a Full Wipe in Aroma should be fine.
Since you're in China, you may want to hold off changing ROMs until you're back, but your call.
Remember that Alpha is i9505 based and doesn't have calling over WiFi.
Enjoy your trip

(test) ATT rom on m919

Hello all. I know this isn't a port..deal with it..ha
Finally some time to make a new thread.
I flashed goldeneye 4.4.2 rom from the ATT section
After flashing I cleared cache and dalvik cache...then flashed
Ktoon 4.4.2 tmo kernel.
I have no issues...
Wifi works...no force close with security...All good
Rom - http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23329332407576459
Kernel - http://goo.gl/5mPtNj
Your welcome
Um you might want to delete this. First, it's not a port...Second The goldeneye rom works on the I9505 t mobile and att models. As do most I9505 roms. If you chose to keep this post put your flame suit on.

Yeah I know I got the same response in another thread...it works for me without the new bootloader and modem that 9505 requires for the rom to work and the one in the t mobile section doesn't work properly. ..I don't really care if this gets deleted I just wanted to share in case people can use it. At least until the official tmo rom comes out.

I think the att and the i9505 is the same rom. No bootloader needed and the same built in karnel.
Instead of falsifying the thread title, op could of made a tutorial or something about his findings or tips when flashing another carrier custom rom, etc.
Moved to general and title changed, no matter what you flash, you are always taking a chance regardless...
