i have an issue with data wipe, every time i install a rom (cwm or odin) and do a data wipe from recovery then after booting up phone my balance got deducted from my primary sim (every time 1.20 rs) , let me clear i have data plan on that sim so it is not net related issue, when phone boots after data wipe then i starts to customize settings and suddenly balance got deducted from primary sim... can some one please give me solution and cause of this balance deduction issue......

Yes that's true at each wipe or factory reset 1.50 is deducted from ones account... I forgot the specific number... At each factory reset your phone will registered to samsung India... I talk already with the customer care regarding this... This only happens in Indian firmware..

hud hai yar ye kya nautanki kai , i have lost 18~20 rs in one day only because of this issue, can you tell me which app causing this registration and deduction problem, yo have mentioned i happening only in indian firmware so can you tell me which non indian firmware is best for gaming and have minimum lag and also has dual network selection option (GSM Only/WCDMA Ony).... i m using indian xxamcd

I don't know which apps.. It happens only once.. Whoever using Indian firmware will register in samsung India.. I used Vodafone, docomo, idea.. All are deducting money after each factory reset.. For gaming AMCD firmware is best.. Good performance and good benchmarks than latest amd6..only indian firmware using GSM /WCDMA selection...

My friend are you using Android 4.4.x
If you are using it then the problem is not about factory reset , everytime your phone reboots or power's on, 1.50rs balance is deducted. This thing happened with me
The problem is with an inbuilt app called SALESTAT which does the job of sending sms deducting balance Rs1.50
To fix this u can get an app called SECRET CODES on play which will scan ur phone for different different codes, out of which one is of SALESTAT, you just need to click on that and then BANG BANG u will see the number on to which sms is going.
Then just click on that change that number to 0000000 zero i.e any non-valid number in place
Hit OK.
No balance deduction now
If anyone gets benefited out of this please send me a reply, that will boost me a lot

but if you flashed stockrom using odin and did hard reset should fix the problem.
make sure its not about a network trouble from the provider
you might try this...open setting>wireless and network>mobile network. untick use packet data. network mode, choose wcdma only. tick use packet data.

This is what i've done
1- Flashed to an Indian firmware version, no backup (my mistake). From that
moment, losed 3G/H connectivity
2- Flashed various firmwares, no success
3- Thanks to Doky, i was able to get the original firmware of my phone, installed it and change the country via *#272*_your_imei_# and reboot
4- Still with EDGE ....
In a previous flash, i used the "WCDMA Only", but i lost my mobile network .
Going to test in another phone to see if it's a provider problem .....

when i used "WCDMA Only", my current network changed (i'm from Colombia, my SIM is movistar, changing the setting changed the current network to Tigo) ....

Tried with Doky recomendation ... still EDGE ... not sure if i have to do a factory reset after the flash (tried without factory reset)
i have the exact same problem... flashed to an indian firmware (no backup), then only edge...
It's not a network provider problem... it's somethng wrong with the firmware

There's something special with that version ? ... i'm trying to not flash my phone unless the firmware has any sort of light to solve my problem (avoiding factory reset ... my phone must be dizzy ... so many resets ... )

If it was working before, I dont think it is hardware related. Download and flash a new modem. Or download your stock rom with your contry specified modem. while flashing custom rom, dont update modem.

i tried stock rom from my country .. india still i m anot able to get through .. if i go to network and search manually it shows all the network and if i select it even gets registered but then i cant make calls it again says simcard unregistered to this network and no sim emergencycalls only..

happened to me as well after a nandroid restore.
Just reflash the modem. I also had a EFS backup and restored that also. Worked like a charm.
If that doesn't work, then ODIN a stock ROM - it should definitely do the trick. Be mindful though that it will erase your internal SD card unless you go for the modded ones.

i did every thing not working .. i took it to the service centre they say the radio is broken .. and corrupted coz of flashing the rom and now i hav given it to samsung to change the motherboard
Hmmm - tough one.
I guess this could only happen by flashing a wrong modem software...

it was a bad flash i think. did you try it to reflash? what is your current baseband after your flash?

happend to me on a 4.2 aosp rom... after flashing rom, my mobile internet doesnt seem to perform as expected... so i flashed my fave modem at that time which is dddlk6... then i get no signal but i have internet, i didnt notice at first until the next morning when the internet started acting up again... i restored to my previously used stable rom and the problem is gone...
I am using MC8 with Italian Job v1 and some modifications from kyrillosv7B rom. I dont have any sign of mobile data. I can make calls, messages... I also reset my APNs and carefully enter new but i cant get mobile data. Also i tried reflashing back to MB2, MB4, kyrillosv7B, but i have that problem on every firmware and rom i flash. Problem started few days ago. I fixed it for about 10 hours entering to *#301279# and turn hsdpa on, but after some time problem came back and now i can't ener to *#301279#.
I found alternative way to that menu *#197328640#-debug screen-phone control- nas control- rrc (r6/r7) control but that fix doesnt work.
Also tried changing preffered type in phone info ( cant go to *#4636# so i downloaded phone info app (not avilable on google play)) , no succes.
Airplane mod-reset , no succes.
I can make hotspot but no data trasnfer (i think my antena is ok)
Any help?

What about data roaming? Have you check/allow it from mobile network settings?
There are 3 options: disable, national roaming only and all networks.

I think that sim card is not problem, my sim card perfectly work on other devices

I have no mobile data connection, but i can send sms and made calls.
I must turn the phone off and start it again, and then the mobile data work.
I flash the MC8 stock.
I change the simcard and the problem is the same.

A reboot dont work for me too.
Only a shut down and then manually start the ace 2 solve the problem.
Oh i remeber, once i must remove the battery and the simcard, the shut down methode didnt work.
But the last 5 times or so, it work with the shut down methode.
I have the I8160P, maybe thats the problem?

ACCTUALLY mobile data is working in all jelybean updates
Few people reported that flashing MC8 over GB without MB2 or MB4 steps is more stable despite the fact that you have less Ram.

My problem is that i was running stock 4.1.2 and IMEI and everything was working well until i flashed a custom android 4.3 rom and lost IMEI.. i tried to flash some modems and then got it back but still had the problem of not registered on network.. i tried to get back on stock and i also had "not registered on network" but IMEI is good... so my question is why installing a custom rom causes this ?

No difference in flashing and software and phones but some of them work and others get not registered on network after flashing.. it's a really confusing problem !!!!! i just want to know WHY is that happening on SOME devices ??

I Just got my Lenovo P2a42 , was playing with an app called " Activity launcher" to hide the screen orientation using demo mode activity, thus i got nosy some how .. and changed the band to USA without knowing .
end result which only happened on Sim Slot 1
1. i cant make or receive calls
2. can send SMS and access internet using sim slot 1
3. when making a call , a message appears :" cellular network not available"
I have tried other Sim cards on slot 1 , and nothing working (no calls)
tried slot 2 and all is working great
any suggestion on what to do to restore the phone Radio band to its non US band ? I am not located in USA , I'm in UAE
I'm on android Nougat , non-rooted , phone is carrier free

At dialer press "*#*#4636#*#*" then phone information and press top right three dots. There is an option for area band. Choose your area. I'm not sure if this will solve your problem but try it

Flash twrp recovery and flash either the stock rom or custom. Just google for the links. If your bootloader isn't unlocked you will have to wait 14 days. Hope it helps
