Gonna wait for the OTA-update, hopefully I'll keep my root-acces!

Yes, Xperia ZL NAM C6506 LTE, on 4.2.2 but Root Gone. Will need a new 4.2.2 kernal w/ recovery to get root back.

Xperia C6502 Updating too Now I Installing the new firmware

C6503_10.3.A.0.423_MEA.ftf - Thanks Ro.Ma.Ns
http://yadi.sk/d/NwLU8FSd60xOy
Upd.
С6502 10.3.A.0.423_Indonezia.ftf - Thanks pashnyov
http://yadi.sk/d/X61BiUeW61Fkk

It came up for me on PCC for my C6506...but I'll hold off and wait a day or two for the OTA, I stand a better chance of maintaining root that way. PCC is a definite root kill.

All right Sony. it makes up for my Ion...

I'll build the FTF for the C6506 once it's done downloading and post a link. The blob folder in the Mac is insane
/Users/havanahjoe/Library/Application Support/Sony Ericsson Bridge for Mac/semc_update_engine/Sony Ericsson Update Engine.app/Contents/MacOS/Users/havanahjoe/Library/Application Support/Sony Ericsson Bridge for Mac/semc_update_engine/db/13740270/blob_fs

I already have it. Is a nice upgrade.
XPERIA ZL C6506

FTF is ready if anyone is interested

Updating through the Sony Bridge was pretty painless. Now only waiting for the root update from DooMLoRD that will work with the C6506 without having to flash the C6503 kernel first.

[Q] HELP! Where can I find a Brazilian R800a stock ROM?

Hi everyone! Someone can tell me where can I find a R800a Brazilian stock ROM, doesn't matter which version, since I can upgrade!
Why I want it? Well, Sony Ericsson Brasil take ages to release an upgrade here! We're still with 2.3.3! And I flashed the North American ROM of R800a to get my 2.3.4, but I wanna be able to return to Brazilian version, as soon as 2.3.4 is released here!
There's a lot of small differences that makes me want the Brazilian version!
Hi
Did you try to upgrade the Brazillian stock ROM through Sony Ericsson PC Companion ?

Every time I use PC Companion or Sony Ericsson Update Service, I get the mesage that I already have the latest software! =(
Ok, download this [USB Flash Driver] and install it.
Then download [WotanClient 3].
Open Wotan Clinet 3 and follow instructions (your phone battery must be full)

Next, set model: R800, then choose Brazilian stock ROM
I think it is Firmware: 4.0.2.A.0.42 and CDA: Generic Trade Latin America (2.3.4) (R800a)
Then next and next and wait for finishing installing the ROM.
THANK YOU!
Thanks a lot!
I'ts now downloading!
I've found this "wotanserver" before, even though in their site said FREE Flashing, every time I clicked, it said I don't have enough credits. But downloading this program worked!
By the way, I choose 3.0.1.A.0.145 Generic Trade Brazil (2.3.3) (R800a)
Once it's done, I think I can upgrade using PC Companion!
Thanks again!
Did you have to buy credits????

Good morning, I tried to use the tool, created a username on the wotan website. but am I still required to get/buy credits to use this?
Yes, you need to buy credits. It was free at that time.

I suggest r800i ftfs if you want to flash roms. R800i .62 lets you flash almost any rom. (unlocked bootloader)

[Q] Android 4.4.4 for Xperia Z1, Z1 Compact and Z Ultra. Will come to us?

Android 4.4.4 firmware (14.4.A.0.108) rolling for Xperia Z1 Compact; certified for Xperia Z1 and Z Ultra
Somewhat surprisingly, Sony Mobile has started to roll the Android 4.4.4 KitKat firmware update for the Xperia Z1 Compact. This comes to the handset in the form of build number 14.4.A.0.108.
The update is currently rolling to users in Russia, Italy and Indonesia. We don’t have a changelog right now, so if you’ve downloaded the update let us know your thoughts below.

This same build version (14.4.A.0.108) was also certified by the PTCRB website for the Xperia Z1 and Z Ultra. It doesn’t appear that the update is rolling to these handsets though.

will come to us?
i don't think so. if it comes, it would be a miracle. we already got 4.2.2, 4.3 and now 4.4.2(eww! very buggy).

You never know. Sony is aware that they have pretty serious problems with the 4.4.2 wakelock/batterydrain errors and a prospective fix was seen for the Z/ZL on PTCRB. I'd say there is a chance that they will just roll the fix into 4.4.4 and push that out.
I also bet they were on a deadline to get the 4.4.2 out ASAP to the whole Zx series, as it's a baseline requirement for the simultaneously launched Smartband SWR10. Likely wanted to maximize their potential install base size.

that firmware fix is 10.5.A.0.233 which already rolled out to xperia z austria 3 carrier. it wasn't a bug fix. no firmware has been certified yet till now other than that. and it's been a month still many users haven't got 4.4.2 update yet including me!
Nope not seeing it. They still haven't rolled out 4.4.2 properly yet so I had to flash an ftf.
If you want 4.4.4 on a Sony phone you better buy one that's not as old as the ZL, because Sony has no interest in supporting outdated products.

repost?
Sorry to bump an old thread but its still at the top of the forum. Anyways, I figured I'd just inform people that this can be flashed on a D5106 phone. However, the splash screen will be replaced with one that yells at you for mismatching firmware (oh well). It's a good way to free up more space from /system and have less bloatware to worry about.
So this is debloated? @dermo529
Barely. It still has a bunch of Sony bull**** but no carrier bloat.
