Every rom in the AT&T section (aka here) will work with your phone as well as some in the N7105 section but i would suggest just sticking to the At&t section

Ok kinda what he said^^^^^^^. Also everything won't work on your phone, especially anything with the AT&T modem/radio included. So I would make sure what ever you decide to use that its modem free. Since your using a T-Mobile GN2. I just loaded up SKY NOTE 9. On my TMO GN2. Works great for me to...

Don't use any Rom that says N7100....
That is the international device...
And is not compatible...
You will brick your phone using those...g

Why do you say hes using a T-mo? He said he got a i317 which is at&t. And the sent from in the bottom is from a Galaxy S2 not a Note 2

totaly different radios bro it will brick
based on what I've read, T-Mobile's note 2 has the same hardware as the international version. just different radio chip, so theoretically, delete modem file from ROM should do the trick. just my 0.02 tho.
Thats what im thinking. Grqnted, I dont know anything but im very curious if you replaced the modem file if we could run n7100 roms. Can we flash n7100 kernels?

since it's t-mobile branded, there won't be many modem choices. so i wouldn't touch the stock modem at all just in case if you wanna return your device later on.

[Q] 4G LTE compatibility?

I just saw in Miami that we're getting 4G LTE today and want to know if it's compatible with the T989 s2?

No. We don't have the right hardware needed.

Wonder why we have lte settings in network preferred and toggles on some roms? Then if you flash back to a gb rom the secret menu has settings for lte too. Don"t know myself though.

Well that sux...so when they say they are bringing it to 200 million people this year it must be people without a contract so they could get a new phone doesn't make sense to me....according to a tmo rep it will be but I don't trust their knowledge....

Unless Tmo planned for 1.5 years ahead when they launched the Herc, I doubt we have the right hardware. Hopefully it does have support and Tmo did plan for the future but they're keeping it a secret . Because when they build the source for a ROM, they don't take out individual little things for certain devices.

Don't get your hopes up. I think the S3 and Note 2 are the only ones that are capable at the moment and they will need a software upgrade to unlock it.

Because firmwares are made by Samsung and the skyrocket has lte. The firmwares are designed for simplicity. Meaning, Samsung only has to make one firmware for all variants. That's why that option is there.

Actually the T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S III (SGH-T999) is NOT capable of it period. I have one. But i did read rumors that they may be making another S3, one with the exact same specs, but adding an LTE capable chip. T-Mobile went on the cheap side with their S3 and used the same chip as the ATT and other variants, but cut out the LTE capabilities. Kinda dumb but hey im not the CEO. lol.
But you are right, the Note 2 just needs a firmware update to enable LTE, also, the only other phone capable of T-Mobile LTE is the Windows Phone 8X.

So like I said then it's stupid for T-Mobile to say they are bringing lte to 200 million customers this year when most of them won't be able to use it...I'm under contract till March 2014 so I won't be able to use it till then...that's bs....unless they give me a new phone.....NOT....

Yeah I feel you.. it is bull. But then again neither sprint nor Verizon have existing contracts holders an lte device when they rolled it out. Guess that's just how it goes.

At&t S3

I have a question I'll be buying a At&t S3 from someone on Friday it's not unlocked but I'll be unlocking it for tmobile cause that's what I use currently. So the question is once I unlock it and root it do I use tmobile S3 roms or do I use the AT&T custom roms ?

AT&T roms only. Your hardware is still AT&T so your software should be AT&T.
If you use a rom for another phone company's phone, you risk the chance of bricking.
