Thanks BMP...Wanted to let you know Rom booted and restored apps from playstore. Going run a couple bench marks and post the results..Very smooth so far..
AnTuTu benchmark first run 18196 then changed kernel gov and sched to ondemand and noop then 21811.
quadrent scores were very low but that is normal for cm 10.1 must be a bug in benchmark.
so far everything is working great I will post any problems I run into.

Thanks for the tests. I personally don't put a lot of stock benchmarks; its been my experience that the same ROM with the same settings will post different scores. But, it is still good to know you CAN benchmark. I had a Nexus 4 that I thought I bricked by benchmarking, so I haven't used it since. Anyway, let me know if you have any issues. Thanks again

This ROM really is smooth and buttery...great job! Unfortunately, like all the other AOSP's from you BMP, my Google music app crashes. Tried all the easy stuff, reinstallation, wiping data and cache, and fixing permissions. Still no go. Not sure what's doing this but I do know the app works on root box. I'll try newest eos and see there as well. Thanks for the work again.

That is so nuts! There were absolutely no additions or subtractions on the building of this ROM that could be the cause; at least none that I can see. With BS and JB, the ++ versions could possibly be suspect because of the tweaks and additions. But, the vanilla builds and especially this build were literally compiled, booted, and posted. No other changes were made at all. Do you have issues with Play on Shelnutts CM build? This is built from his git. How about stock? I had issues with some apps right out of the box that went away when I went to custom builds. I don't think the Linaro would be a problem, and if it was, you wouldn't see it elsewhere since the other builds don't have it. Keep trying and I'll keep trying to figure something out for you.
EDIT: What version are you using? I am on v5.0.1052J.707098 and have no issues with opening, playback or 'surfing'. You may need to update your apps. Let me know.......

I'm all updated on apps. I will try other cm10.1 and see if its an upstream issue perhaps. Will keep trying because I really want to run jelly beer. Would the fact that I have all access matter?

All access?

Yes the new subscription service...see top of pic.

The All Access Music closing without warning is a known issue on CM roms. Shelnutt is looking into it for a fix.
OP, any way you can cherry pick the quick setting mini camera to your build?

READ THIS POST, IT'S VERY IMPORTANT
Qoute from the creator of AOKPA "When I first got my Galaxy S III this is what I dreamed of eventually running on my phone — A ROM that has all the capabilities of ParanoidAndroid, all the features of AOKP, and one that utilizes CyanogenMod as a solid base. ParanoidKANGdroid is based off CyanogenMod source code with all the features from ParanoidAndroid and AOKP merged into the frameworks and settings. I really hope you all have a good experience with this ROM. I made my own kernel for ParanoidKANGdroid that has overclocking, undervolting, and quite a few performance tweaks. Also, under settings you will see a tab for "Update Center" which will launch goo manager which is where you can receive OTA updates for this ROM. Before I conclude I would like to thank everyone that helped make this ROM possible."

4. Install Rom
5. Reboot and enjoy
If you have an issue and you want to call my attention, here's what you do:
1. Try everything you can, find solutions for yourself. Wipe caches, revert all your settings you have made, go back to your working Kernel, factory reset if you have to or reflash the rom. Assume that the issue is on your side and try your best to isolate it.
2. Search this thread, Cyanogenmod's, ParanoidAndroid's, and AOKP's as well for possible reoccurences of your issue and hopefully solutions that may have come up.
3. If you think the issue is important enough that we should cease our work and look into it, post your issue, BUT ...
... stay friendly, do not demand anything, do not threaten
... explain your issue as precise as you can, name the exact apps and conditions that cause trouble, help us to replicate the issue right away. If we can't there's no way we can fix it and your post will simply clutter the thread
... collect evidence.

Nice rom but the only thing keeping me from keeping this ROM for long is the fact that I can't seem to get it out of 320 DPI every different app I check from the market seems to think its in 240 and refuses to revert it back and also checking paranoid settings and changing it manually I can't for anything to fix it for me

Alright, so I'll be posting CM10.1 and CM10.2 builds here. I can't guarantee I'll post them every night, but I'll do it pretty often. Issues and behavior should be identical to dastin's builds, however these will be more up to date, and include a few new tweaks. Enjoy!
Tweaks applied to both CM10.1 and CM10.2
Code:
* [Kernel] Updated to Linux 3.0.93
* [Kernel] USB Charge rate bumped to 650ma
* [Kernel] SHA1/AES Optimizations
* [Kernel] memcopy tweaked for performance
* [Kernel] UKSM
* [Kernel] Increased MMC write timeout
* [Kernel] Many other small tweaks.
* [General] Included Sunbeam live wallpaper (from google play edition phones)

Yep, all I do is wipe cache and dalvik, and flash it.
Of course I have to flash a MMS fix afterwards but if you're on sprint that doesn't apply.
EDIT: For everyone else, how would you guys feel about me merging a few non-standard features/options? I'd like to give this rom a bit more freedom, just not all cluttered like some of the other popular roms.

I'm looking into compiling it with linaro. Luckily, there's a bunch of patches floating around that should make it compile.
Also, Anyone wanna vouch for the battery on this build? Just want to make sure some of my tweaks didn't mess anything up. Hard for me to tell since my area has terrible reception and my phone will die quickly no matter what.
I would but my E4GT is WiFi only. My wife and kids can game on it for about 6-7 hours

Also, I'd like to announce that over the next few days I'll have a little bit of free time (I've just worked a 8 hour shift followed by a 5 hour shift, a few hours of sleep and then another 8 hour shift), so I'll be able to look at integrating new tweaks into the rom. So if you see multiple builds on the same day over the next few days, that's because I'm working on it.
Also: many thanks to anyone that can successfully merge BFS 406 (or 413) into my kernel. I've tried so many times and it never builds. https://github.com/blasphemy/android_kernel_samsung_smdk4412

Introducing codefireXperiment for your device! This OP is going to stay slim and bloat free, just like codefireXperiment. No marketing buzzwords either.
We take such confidence in the speed and performance of this distribution, we challenge you to find a faster and more stable one!
Warning: we only support anykernel methods of custom kernel installation.
Here's a bit of info you may want on this project for how we do things differently:
CLICK HERE to find out more about the new team working on this project since our TeamEOS merger.
No features you don't need which slow the device down, or put your data at risk of being stolen. If you want to give it away, it should be your decision.
A fast and clean install with no UX decisions made for you. You make the ROM whatever you would like.
A team constantly exploring totally new feature sets and optimizations geared toward you, the user
We utilize a plethora of optimizations in a build system unlike any other:
Each build has a toolchain built for your device at the time of build. No more generic toolchain android builds.
Consistently updated upstream toolchain module source with our custom backports, fixes, and optimizations applied in a patch at build time.
Fully built utilizing Link Time Optimization (another custom ROM first). Feel free to Google this one a bit to get an idea of the performance gain.
Many repositories have code fixes, cleanups, and many minor optimizations which are too generous to even speak of here.
Optimizations are toggled on and off based on device for the best experience we can achieve for your device without sacrificing any stability
Many Qcom optimizations and AOSP master (upstream) optimizations and fixes using device specifications to determine usage.
Fully built utilizing strict aliasing and isognu++11 mode.
Full "-O3" build. To those who don't know, this is the highest "optimization level" available in gcc that sets many other flags.

In order to fix your issues we need a log of your error.
Just telling us "it's broken" doesn't help anyone fix it. This would be the same as going to the doctor and telling him "I don't feel good. Fix me." and providing no other information.
There are numerous ways to get a log of errors.
Install CatLog from the Play Store.
Open the app & set the "Log Level" to error.
Do whatever causes your error.
Save the error text file & post it here or on one of those logging site (ie pastebin.com).
You can use ADB to capture the errors as well.
Plug your phone into a computer & open a terminal/command prompt.
adb logcat > C:\path\you\can\find\logname.txt
Do whatever causes your error.
CTRL+C
Save the error text file & post it here or on one of those logging site (ie pastebin.com)

There is also the risk to soft-brick your device. In such a case, restoring a backup is the easiest way to get rid of it (other possibilities mentioned below).

Meaning they only support kernels that don't change the Rom s ramdisk, like Tiny's or Lean. When you install Franco kernel or Fancy they come with their own ramdisk, so if you have any issues with the Rom they will not answer your questions.

I see. So does anyone know if ASKP kernel falls under that category of being unsupported? I'm gonna check Amps thread later but wondering if anyone knows off the top of their head.

Very snappy rom. Not tons of features, but I think I found my new favorite ROM. Very fast and stable.

[ROM][4.3.1] PsiRom - linaro||performance rom||viper audio[11/06/13]

Android 4.3.1 ROM based on Cyanogenmod 10.2 nightlies
Tweaked for performance and battery life while retaining a stock CM experience. This rom is for the people out there who love CM and want to see it fly.
Want to see this rom go even faster? Use Nova or Apex launcher, and, inside developer options, set window animation scale, transition animation scale, and animator duration scale all to 0.5x.
Additions like HALO are not included to keep the bloat down, but can be included in future releases upon popular demand. I'm open to all suggestions or requests.
Changes from CM:
performance tweaks
network speed tweaks
sd read/write tweaks
other build.prop changes
zipaligned
init.d script support
uber kernel
compiled with linaro
custom boot animation
Viper Audio
removed stock apps:
CMFileManager.apk
CMWallpapers.apk
DSPManager.apk
LiveWallpapers (removed all live wallpapers, but live wallpaper picker left in place so you can still use your own)
(Think any other stock apps are just bloat and can be removed? Let me know)
Installation Instructions:
Warning: by installing this rom you accept all risks of modifying your phone. If anything goes wrong, whether it be bricking the phone or Godzilla attacking you, you take full responsibility.
Must be on a newer recovery and baseband, same deal as all other 4.3 roms.
1. Download the rom and 4.3 GAPPS to your phone.
2. Full wipe (cache, dalvik, system and data) if coming from a different rom or Android version, only cache and dalvik wipe if upgrading from a previous version of this rom or from stock CM
3. Install the rom
4. Install the GAPPS
5. Install any other kernels or mods you like (I'm personally a fan of the Fly On Mod)
6. Reboot. Wait until it finishes and boots up fully
Optional: 7. Give it 10 minutes to settle.
Recommended: 8. Install TricksterMod and change the governor from interactive. I prefer InterectiveX or OnDemandX, both of which go nicely with sio

Viper Audio Tips
Run the Viper app to set up the audio. You can choose between regular ound quality, super quality, or battery saving quality.
If you want to use any other sound mods along side Viper (I'm a fan of Noozxoide), be sure to go into the Viper app, hit the settings key and turn on the "compatible mode"
Want better sound quality? Check out the Impulse Response Sampling starter pack here: http://vipersaudio.com/blog/?page_id=115
Head to Viper's homepage for more info about this awesome mod: http://vipersaudio.com/blog/

There's an issue with the current version that may cause some overheating and lowers performance, building a fixed version now. It should be up soon!
By the way, themes used in the screenshot (not included since they're from the Play store) Hologlass [beta] (which is free) and Minimal UI for the icons (costs 1.50, and is worth it). Launcher is Nova Launcher.

Lol, what?
EDIT: OP updated with new download link (or get it here: https://copy.com/zaO810YHgIMG ). I'd recommend wiping system if you've already flashed 10-23-13 (data should be fine, doesn't need to be wiped).
Thanks for providing us with yet another choice to flash. If I end up in rehab because I can't quit flashing I'm going to blame all the XDA Dev's.
I did a full wipe while installing but during the initial set-up I kept getting SOD's and freeze ups. I wiped and re-flashed several times but ended up with the same results. Any suggestions on what to try next? Thanks again for this.
That's odd, I didn't have any issues with the initialization thing. Is it locking up on a specific page? Maybe try giving it a few minutes to settle, then reboot and initialize once it starts back up again. This might be an issue with how the rom is using the default governor, performance is oddly bad until you change it from interactive.

That makes sense. I've read where some ROMs don't perform well until you change the governor. Through out my attempts I was able to get to the home screen only once. I usually let it settle for 5 minutes. I'll let it settle for 10 and see how it goes.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T989 using Tapatalk
Edit: Still no go. Same thing as before. I made it as far as downloading Trickster and was able to change the governor and it ran for a few minutes then froze on me. Not sure what else to do.
That's really odd, I've been running the rom just fine :/ It's freezing up after initialization as well? But still, thanks for still trying out the rom and letting me know about the issues Building a new version now, it should be posted early tomorrow. Changes include cm update, linaro update, and even more build.prop tweaks. It should be much faster than the current version!
Edit: On a side note, mind if I ask which recovery and gapps you're using? I'm on twrp 2.6.1.0, with the regular 20130813 signed gapps, and lag at initialization was noticable but not cripplingly bad. No freezes or reboots for me either :/
Edit again: New download link is up in the op, or get it here: https://copy.com/dgUwgEErqVnl
Let me know how the performance is!
New version seems to be much quicker than before! I tried a full wipe with it and had no lag at all, not even with the default governor.

New twrp being 2.6.1.3 or .4? I've heard some people complain about issues with it, from what I could tell 2.6.1.0 seemingly being more stable. But the newest update for the rom is much more responsive, just give it a try and let me know how it goes

GrapheneROM is finally getting a thread! GrapheneROM started as a personal project, but gained a few users after I posted it to the CarbonROM Google + page.
What is it?
GrapheneROM is an opensource version of Android 4.4.4 based off of Carbon. The main goal is to optimize performance to get the best speed possible, though I have smaller goals such as adding/removing features, and fixing bugs.
OpenSource? Can I build my own?
Yes! Yes you can! I set up a build script based off of LiquidSmooth's and Illusion's to make the build process as simple and as bug free as possible. The source is available at http://www.github.com/GrapheneROM
I would like to help develop, can I join the team?
Also yes! Team Graphene is currently looking for members as the current 2 (a friend and I) are typically busy with school, and have little time after to work other than the weekends. We currently need someone who is good with java and someone who can help with compiling toolchains and custom plugins for gradle, maven and the like. We also would like more Device maintainers to help spread the Graphene love to other forums.
Enough Mumbo-jumbo. What makes GrapheneROM different than Carbon?
Ill give it to you in bullet points so I don't bore you.
-ROM compiled with SaberMod 4.8 for speed responsiveness
-Kernel compiled with SaberMod 4.10
-Uses JustArchi's ArchiDroid Optimizations which include:
* 03 compilation
* Increased smoothness
* Increased speed
* Increased Responsiveness
* Up to 6x better performance
- Bug fixes
Changes to come:
-Linaro 4.9 instead of SM4.8
-Optimized BMS kernel by default
-Heads up and floating window
-Linaro 4.8.3 Host GCC
-Custom Gradle plugin (Thanks to AOSPAL)
STOP TALKING JUST GIVE ME THE F***ING ROM ALREADY
Fine. Don't read this. Just remeber if you break your device it's not my, nor anyone else's fault. (shameless disclaimer)

I have a new version compiling right now, but I wanted to get this posted and I didnt have the patience to wait for the build to finish, so I posted this. It's the same rom, but It was built a few days ago and won't have the newest optimizations or code. You can download it and use it just fine, but it would be wise to wait for the new build in about and hour.

The ROM is odexed because apps load faster when they have odex files, and you only need deodexed if you plan on modding apps a lot. And yeah, everything will look like carbon until I get around to changing it.

Have you tried flashing the APN fix? Any time I've had that problem with an AOSP ROM that fixes it for me. Though I'm on Boost. There is one for VM as well, dunno who your provider is.

I've been trying to download the ROM to give a run...sounds really good....but MediaFire's not letting me DL it. Is anyone else having issues with Captcha or am I the only one?
