Galaxy s4 Lte advanced - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 4

Guess what was just announced? A new s4 with lte advanced technology, a snapdragon 800 processor, and 32 gig built in storage. Wtf Samsung? I just bought the s4 and now your dishing out a new version making owners of this phone feel disappointed. I'm sick of this bs. I want to make sure I have the top Samsung gadget and for you guys to release a new one 2 weeks after I bought mine is complete bs. I'm no longer going with samstung

Rather than complain, go sell your gs4, buy some cheap phone, save the rest, and wait for the advance to come out and go buy it.

I figured as much. Beside, T-mobile going to start rolling it out by the end of 2013. They will start out lil by lil and im sure by the time it get to your city, something bigger and better than this one you complaining about will be out......when it comes out sell it than.
New technology going to come out every month, samsung will continue rolling out 4 different version of the same thing, either get with the program or well...dont. There's the htc, there's the xperia, and some other i can't think of that i actually care for.

Now if they just weren't so damn slow in updating this phone with ICS. Or at least releasing some drivers and such so devs could get it done.
I swore I would never own another Samsung after the vibrant due to how slow Samsung was on dropping source and such...I got sucked in one again and sit in the same position again as the vibrant lol.

We can't just sell the phone off, because it's defective and that would be considering scamming. I would love to get a refund or exchange but we are unable to do so even within warranty, as this problem "does not exist."
I said in another topic that my complaints are directed the both Samsung for making this ****ty phone and ignoring the obvious problem, and to the phone companies for ignoring the problem not allowing refunds or exchanges.

Project Roadrunner? 4.2

Has anybody heard of this? I did a quick lazy glance here and didn't see it posted so I thought I would. Looks pretty amazing with new features and improving Gnow and improved battery life for Android users. Of course the main concern is in order for us to experience we might have to switch phones or of course wait on our devs to do their amazing work. Thoughts??

Your point? We all have to move on at some point. By the time this phone gets 4.2 we'll have some really amazing devices on the market that will make this phone seem like it was from the stone age. Just like this phone makes that HD2 seem like its from the stone age. Idk how people are still using that thing. I think my next one will be a nexus.. There should be some nice ones coming out soon..
I was thinking.. I'm sure that the galaxy Nexus is a shoe in to get 4.2 and if it can handle the software I am sure that this phone can too!.. It's unlike that tmobile will put in the resources to update this phone after JB but it might be a slim possibility.. Especially since we will have the option whether or not to have OEM skins

Officially I don't think this phone is getting past ICS. I have high doubts about an official TW JB update for it. Only the international GSII has been officially confirmed. As we all know that phone and every other GSII has the exynos SoC so I wouldn't doubt the others can get it easily. But since we have the s3.. idk.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T989 using xda premium
And I just wanna state that it's obvious that Google is listening to what people want and trying to add it to software updates! We have all been talking about how nice it would be if we had a choice of AOSP or OEM.. And voila! Google goes ahead and appears to be implementing it!.. This is totally opposite of other mobile operating systems (not naming names) that always hold back the features... This is why I will probably stay loyal to android for a long time!

My co-worker has it, so I have had a chance to play with it already. It's not much bigger than the E4GT, but I want a phone where I can reach across with my thumb without having my palm activating stuffs on the edge of the screen.
The other reason is the E4GT just start working well enough after all these years, so I'll wait for more stable ROMs first

I've never been a big fan of this phone. It started in the first 15 minutes and the overall look of Touchwiz. I'm sure a lot of it has to do with the fact that my 1st smart phone was a Nexus One and my affinity for Native android as a result. Anyway.
I just bought a Nexus four and love it. I plan to return it w/i the 14 buyer remorse T-Mobile has. IAfter that I'll either order another N4 or wait for the next Nexus phone. I love the simplicity and ease of use of them. It was so easy to root the N1.
So it's either the next Nexus phone or the Motorola X phone. $$ is important to me, so probably the Nexus.

I think I am going to wait for the nexus also. I am expecting a sleeker device, likely the same screen size. I hope they aren't stupid and put lte and expandable storage as well. If they don't its almost as if the nexus phones are turning into the iPhone.

...but half the price...and with an open source OS. Even if I had to choose, I'd still buy the Nexus.

Hope the screen resolution will be 1080 also I'm leaning towards the Nexus myself.

Expandable storage would be nice but will never happen. Don't care much for lte as I'm on Wi-Fi 99% of the time. The only thing I want to see is a better camera...and maybe made of something other than glass as I've heard it can be quite fragile.

Don't get me wrong, I will always go for a nexus over an iPhone!

Although not the "latest and greatest," I'm planning on getting the Xperia Z when it comes out. My reasoning is simply I hate the button layout of both the One and GS4, the waterproof-ness, and I think it looks pretty damn good.

After waiting forever for official jb on this phone, I'm probably gonna stick to nexus in the future as well. I've never needed an sd card, and love my N7, so a nexus phone will work for me.

Note 3 or....Gasp...iPhone 6.... If Apple adds things such as haptic feedback and a larger display, I'd consider it. I personally like the newer flat UI from iOS, plus I like the social integration part of the software. Android has it's benefits, don't get me wrong, but honestly, I think iOS visually looks better...I don't know if I can live without widgets though
PS, I know I'm going to get flamed for that, but I'm not a fanboy of either...Looking at functionality and design..Nothing wrong with that

I had an apple 4 as my first smartphone. Yes they run nice....but I love to customize, so iPhone would never be a consideration for me....even if they make apps to clean my house and do my laundry! LOL.

When will google stop messing around and release 5.0?
As for the name, I would have preferred Cadbury, Mars bars, Nestlé, or pudding or something lol. Kit kats are nice but they sound funny. :screwy:

Well unfortunately none of those you named start with a letter 'K' Maybe when we hit the M part they will call it Mars Bar.

It was still such new news, that I was taking it with a grain of salt. Lol thought, well this must be some BS marketing ploy. But seems its been confirmed more than one place. Makes me wanna go buy a box of kitkats. Lol

At&t will release it around the time 5.0 comes. They seem to run 2-3 versions behind.

We can now consider the i747/M an outdated device after the 18-month Open Handset Alliance requirements. There is no incentive for Samsung or your carrier to roll-out firmware releases for our phones now that the S4 is the current flagship.
I agree. Unlikely and am pretty sure it will be S5 time by then anyway.
I really think that it's simply a naming thing. It's already been said that they didn't exchange any money for the deal. I really doubt that they'll be any other form of marketing except for kitkat's competition to win a few android products.

Not only is the Open Handset Alliance dead, it was DOA.
That 18-months things was never enforced by any OEM.
