Req Cam app from XPERIA V. on XPERIA S ??

The cam app on XPERIA V is really fine i think...
Can we perhaps get that on XPERIA S?

What? You can't port everything from V. The V camera, except for all those fancy stuff, is basically just like T one. This port has many V libs, and HDR is just in auto mode. It will improve quality.
How it isn't for anyone?

I also would love the original V one, mainly because of the separate HDR mode, still, make do with CyberShot 4.7.2 for now though

well, i found one, it works but HDR not included. The superior auto and picture effect work. By the way, the 3D camera cannot be found after flash it.......

clear the cache?

Try removing semccamera.apk and the 3d one out from /system/app and place them at /system. Reboot then place them back at /system/app. Worked for me

Horizontal, vertical, horizontal... What ? You mean you are having auto rotation problem with the camera ? You can try any camera apk of stock ROM that's ics themed, move to system/app and set permissions rw--r--r--.

Bro don't use apktool fir modding camera.. Use vr themer and then extract the app from system/app..

So you have a moded cam to share ?

If you modify the apk open the apk with 7-zip and
Copy paste all modded/compiled files except androidmanifest.xml inside the 7-zip openen camera.apk
If that goes well u wont have a FC in camera
Ive done this a lot of times

Doesn't seem to work. I am using the 4.1 to 4.2 mod package by temenalie which has the 4.2 camera of Adi_aisheteru. I do not see any Gallery2.apk and I changed the GalleryGoogle.apk to GalleryGoogle2.apk. Thanks :good:

Let me try out now and I'll update the result here.
Result: the green effect is still exist on the 4.2 camera but Camera JB+ does not have that

Thanks for testing. But, I still confused, why the green screen still appear. Because, my friend and I don't see any green screen while taking a single shot.. but, green screen will appear only when I change the back camera to front camera, and back again.
For all, I will change the title, because many of user still have the problem. I recommend to you all to use Camera JB+:thumbup:

Sorry about the problem. You should try Camera JB+ for fixing the green screen.

@OP: actually the green effect comes from JB's (CM10/CM10.1) bug, even you're using stock camera from arco.

tell your friend to take a picture in portrait mode, not a landscape mode
your friend will see the green effect.
and btw, if your camera have HDR feature, maybe we can share a solution for HDR
actually I have no idea to fix HDR, after take 3 pictures with different exposure, it can not rendered to single last image

Go to system/app. Rename Gallery2.apk.bak to Gallery2.apk. And then, delete gallerygoogle.apk.
If your camera still not appear at drawer or homescreen. Try to use root explorer. Then go to system/app, tap gallery2.apk and install.

I have no green screen!!
Hey thanks so much for mod this is what I did and i have no green screen when i use the back camera. I'm using cm10 rc1 which had green screen, NOT WITH THIS MOD!
I downloaded zip file. Installed it using clockwork recovery. Rebooted. There is now a new camera icon which replaced the old camera icon and I have no green screen. I didn't change the files to apk.bak. .....because I have no idea how to do this, maybe you could explain how to do it and why I would need to do it?
My pictures go straight into gallery so do I need to change anything??

Photosphere

Hi i have previously downloaded a photosphere add on which will give me the photosphere option on the stock camera but recently i have refomatted my phone and lost it . Can anyone reccomend me a stock camera with photosphere add on feature ?

this one should work everywhere.. I'm actually using on UltimaROM 15.0; do not install as system app or photosphere and panorama mode will not work..

Really? Are you sure that you did not install this camera before? Usually it reports such an error when you already have a version of the app installed and you try to update with one with different sign..

Mmm.. Maybe it's not compatible with 4.3 version, sorry.. Don't know how to help you.. But if you search Google you'll find a lot of others forum and sites sharing that camera application.. pretty sure you'll find one which will work for you, too!

These are great for that fake kit kat feel. However I haven't seen the new dialer anywhere, does anyone have the new phone apk and other files necessary to make it work or is it not possible to get it to work on older ROMs.

Hi thanks for your effort, but... I dont know how to choice permission to write system folder, it is only read!
EDIT
solved whit root explorer, but no work photosphere....

In launcher, apps that's on SD card disappear from folder after reboot, and folders can contain only 16 apps, however I read it can handle more.
