Hands on with Android 4.3 on Samsung Galaxy S4,
Watch it here: http://bit.ly/156yuni
You can also get this too if you have a Custom recover and are rooted!
Flashed Stock Google Edition Rom first, Then Flashed the Leaked Android 4.3 Rom over it.

No, but it'll break root (the boot.img file isn't rooted yet).

In theory, you can flash a custom recovery via Odin and you're good.
Sent from Spaceball One.

So to answer the question yes you can flash this with out root, just flash a custom recovery though odin then factory reset and flash the stock rom. As always read up on how to do this, make a back up and have fun flashing. Right?

I heard this as well and read it elsewhere, so WatchON works.
What I'm curious then is it also possible for the AllShare Cast dongle to work w/ this if it does in fact have parts of the TW framework.
That would be a huge win over for me to move over from the TouchWiz ROM's

Go into the "PlayStore" App, hit the options button and go to "My Apps" There they list "Installed" and "All".
Now when I flashed Android 4.3 I went into the Playstore and went To my Apps and then All, there it listed some of the apps I had when i was Running Touchwiz. Ex: Watch-On, Group Play, Samsung Link, and some of the T-Mobile Apps.
Watch on Works. I didn't test any of the other apps because I don't use them.

You just flash back to stock rom to get the updates. But the point is once rooted your rom of choice will be updated probably faster than the Google update gets pushed to your phone.
^ This!!!
And why have a galaxy nexus if you want to go back to stock for ota? Its a development device....use the roms the devs release for it...lol.
Do I understand this correctly? Clockwork mod recovery with stock ICS will not give OTA updates from Google???

Yes...although im not sure why this concerns anybody. As fast as development is moving on this device, the devs will have updates out as fast or faster than google releases them via ota.

[Q] Triangle Away - New feature "system modified"

Hi
Yesterday I received an update for this app and it included a new feature to get back the system status to "normal" instead of "custom'"
I'd like to know if someone has already tried this new feature and what is your conclusion?
I don't really understand... In the app we now have:
ALLOW TRACKER TO RUN
Enabling this feature MAY cause the system status under Settings to become "normal", but MAY also cause the bootloader status become "custom". Experiment as needed.
Click to collapse
Where could we see the bootloader status? What are the consequences?
The below option is:
SYSTEM MODIFIED WORKAROUND
System executable needed to implement workaround not found

Thanks in advance.
The tracker feature used to work for me - doesn't anymore
As for the workaround, do you use SuperSU? AFAIK that's the only SU that's supported by the feature.
Well I don't know....
On RootBox we have a Setting to manage root permissions but there is no Super User and no SuperSU app in the drawer...

For any rom 4.2 flash an att kernel, your best bet with this rom is to flash your att modem (preferably with odin, flashing a modem with recovery can sometimes cause problems)

lol, just for fun, i flashed the old root zip.. won't boot after.. Guess we will wait for a 4.3 root.
What you could do is try other universal root methods, doubt most would work with knox intact... And you run the risk of bricking your device.

Always thought flashing different modems/radios from other variants were not a good idea.
The stock kernel that comes with the GE rom works on our TMo variants and aside from that I've had LTE working on GE as well.

I had to go back to a 4.2.2 GE.. This rom killed my battery..
I downloaded the deodexed version but am hesitant to flash. Has anyone flashed the deodexed version? Does it install with no issues using CWM, does it break root (I read in other forums this happened to people), does it play nicely with supersu? Are there really any differences from Android 4.2.2? I am just curious if anyone has any feedback on the rom. Thanks.

I tried this on JWR66V and it has a couple bugs. When in landscape mode it foes back to the original stock navbar size. Also when using a custom wallpaper ie. From gallery or even stock wallpaper...the space that was supposed to add screen space right above the navbar is still black only on the home screens. Once using apps they use that space properly. Also the back button icon is larger than the others.

Galaxy S4 Volume Mod

This will make your rooted Galaxy S4 volume level much high or slightly high user preference.
Step 1. Download the file and extract it.
Step 2. Pick which you want there 3 zip files, Loud, Slightly and Normal.
Step 3. Put it on your sdcard or on phone and boot your device in recovery with clockwork or any other recovery.
Step 4. Install and enjoy.
I tested 100x times Work Good.
Only been tested in stock rom.
Let me know how it's working for you.
Credit goes to : sbreen94
for these files (snd_soc_msm_2x_Fusion3_auxpcm and snd_soc_msm_2x_Fusion3)
All I did was extracted those files from hyperdrive rom and make a updater-script to install it on recovery.
I flashed loud and it caused my phone to continuously freeze. When opening play music, everything would freeze. Had to reflash ROM, wipe cache and fix permissions and I'm good again.
I also accidently thanked. Definitely not on purpose.

I only tested on Stock Rom. and work perfectly.
Has anyone figured out if this works on aosp roms? If I don't get a response by the time my backup finishes then I will just try it myself.
That's probably the best way to see if it works for you. Post your results so the Dev knows what happened.
I just installed the loud zip and it made a huge difference. So far so good, I'm running the Infamous Rom.
