[App][4.1+] Photo-Sphere for All Rooted & Non-Rooted Phones (DroidViews) - LG Nitro HD

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>ORIGINAL POST<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
According to the post the developers have extracted some of the stock apps from Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Edition (True Nexus Experience) phone.
One of them was this great Camera/Gallery app and according to the post it should work on All The Jelly bean 4.1+ Android Phones. Simply install it in your phone as you will install any other .apk file. Although if you get crashes or compatibility error then you have to use the flashable version but it would require a rooted device and a custom recovery.
The original post has described some more amazing extracted stuff like stock Boot Animation and Red Version of Phase Beam Live Wallpaper etc. so give it a click to have a look.
SGS4_Photosphere_Gallery.apk for Non-Rooted Devices:
Original (Dev-Host) Link
GDrive Mirror
4Shared Mirror
MediaFire Mirror
PhotosphereGS4GE.zip for Rooted Devices:
Original (Dev-Host) Link
GDrive Mirror
4Shared Mirror
MediaFire Mirror
Notes:
Wipe delvik-cache after flashing the .zip file.
This will only work on phones with built-in Gyro-sensor.
Both of these (.apk & .zip) will not replace your stock Camera/Gallery apps.
The video camera is quite laggy in high exposure scenes so I'd prefer not to use it.
If in photo-sphere mode the camera shows lag, take at least one picture, tap the reset button on the right, start taking photos and it would work fine now.

Thanks

I have never seen a AOSP ROM Camera app overall better than the stock LG Camera app. I installed it just for Photo-Sphere option that is an incredible thing to play with. It's something like this:
My Home Front Yard.
&
My Home Front Yard 2.

I'm recently so crazy with photo sphere . But that's a problem . Start I'm using the photo sphere I could do my own rotation 360。 degree and the photo Sphere camera still could catch my speed and capture it perfectly. So I could compete the whole image in one minute. Then after now it was lagging and slow after few shooting . One single angle image took a second to process and lagging to next angle image. You how to fix it ? I try to restart and kill all background clear ram and turn off battery saving and clear cache for android gallery but still same... what's the latest version for it ?:crying:

Well basically it's a stock SGS4-GE app so there's not going to be a newer version unless Google rolls out a major update. Compatibility issues may come too but I'd advise you to use it on an de-odexed ROM and try to keep as few pics as possible in the DCIM/Camera folder as the gallery lags. If you're using Rooted phone then convert it to a system app (Link2SD can do that). Hope it fixes it!!! :fingers-crossed:

Hmm just try but same problem.... maybe the reset button will help... could you show me where's the button ?Link 2sd I only found the nexus gallery ( red color ) .....which is the nexus camera also ? Was written it's system app. Thanks for help. I love photo sphere so much

Well the Gallery app that comes basically with Photo-sphere camera can be used to view photo-sphere as both these apps are installed together automatically. Other than that SphereShare is the only app that has the biggest collection of photo-spheres and it can be shared at several platforms from there. Another fun way to see photo-spheres is Turn Me Panorama which uses gyro-sensor to make it more realistic!!!

So my photo sphere only can be view my android ?

how to install the Nexus 4 Camera on your M

I did not port this over I just am giving you a way to install on your Razr M.
Download the zip from here ---- >http://d-h.st/lVe
Then follow the directions from here ---> http://pastebin.com/gcHJrFQc
Remember to edit your build.prop ---> editing your build prop can lead to future problems.
Anyone try this yet?
ok so I have a non dev M. I'm rooted and on the Jelly Bean leak. I can confirm this is working for me but I just replaced the files with root explorer and also edited the build.prop through text editor. I copied the files one at a time in the order of the directions, then edited the build.prop and reboot. people are reporting bugs but it's working good here.
I take it the Nexus 5 camera is good? Never seen it. Is it better than the stock Razr M one? And if I install it, does it replace the stock one?
Sent from my DROID Pro using xda app-developers app
This does not replace the stock apps. I now have two camera and two gallery apps. The camera is OK. Basically they added a nice panorama and sphere mode a layout change but the gallery adds a lot of cool editing options. I am having problems with sphere mode with the camera. Its really slow and I'm not sure if I'm using it right.
OK photo sphere requires a gyroscope, something the Razr M does not have. No photo sphere for us.
well i installed the files and the camera is working great. much faster than the stock cam!
however i did not do any build.prop edits. what is the advantage of doing them?

Panorama and photo sphere might work if you do.
as mentioned, there's no way photosphere will work as it requires a gyroscope which the m doesn't have. i like this camera anyway even without photosphere, and have been trying to modify the apk to remove the photosphere menu option without any luck. don't have much knowledge of smali editing :/
Just as an FYI the description of the file to download the files says to use this address instead http://d-h.st/aIy and not to download that file. Update?

Works!
Works great, of course no sphere, but panorama is nice!

Installed on Eclipse Rom without any issues, didn't need to modify the build.prop or anything. It's very snappy.
Tried with PAC only thing the build prop did was trick the app sphere was still very sluggish Ty for the cam though very cool

The standard gapps replace the gallery2.apk in cm which has HDR. One option is to push the gallery.apk from the ROM's zip file to /system.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
A better option is to manually delete the gallery apk in /system/app, then boot into recovery and reflash CM10.1 (without flashing gapps)
The HDR function makes the pictures look good too. I took a picture of a cheesy tot and it looked more fire than IRL.
I flashed the gapps w/o the camera or gallery. Someone around here provided the .zip, I can't remember who it was though. Search for it and you should find it. If not, I'll find it for you or upload the .zip when I get to work, can't do it now.
The Gallery from latest AOKP builds has the feature. But the wait time between the shots are slightly long so you have to literally hold the camera still, and the algorithm to patch the pictures together isn't precise. Right now I prefer HDR Camera.

Pretty obviously the second.
I have a download link for the GApps in my signature along with the apk for the HDR camera gallery app.
Downloaded the camera again..but no good.
Maybe I should do a clean install of CM10.1 than gapps no camera then HDR camera.
BTW: Does the HDR camera take three shots about 1.5 seconds apart from each other in different EV's and then combine them?
Can you post samples of regular + HDR taken from same place/angle?
Thanks

I did it as this, and I got HDR.
1. Flash CM10.1, then GAPP,
2. Boot to Android, use Root Explorer to remove system/app/GalleryGoogle.apk
3. Go to recovery and re-flash CM10.1 again.
Then you will get a camera with HDR.
But I think the HDR is quite difficult to use...
The picture I took is double image...
But why does HDR picture blurs ?

Because you have to be very still to make a good picture. Basically you can't move.

[APK] New Camera & Gallery with Photosphere 100% Working, NO ROOT REQUIRED

Yesterday where leaked details of a new camera application in the HTC One and Galaxy S4 Google Play Editions, which added new features and some small change in its interface. And as expected, hours later, we can download and install the same version on any Android device.
To install the new gallery and camera, all you have to do is follow the next steps:
Go to Settings > Security and activate the checkbox "Unkonw Sources"
Download the APK file
With a file explorer (IE: ES Explorer or Astro), find the file on your SD and just pick the file and install the new Gallery (New camera included with the gallery)
Enjoy the Google Experience camera and gallery on your HTC One or in almost any device
If you have a Nexus or stock Android Experience device, this app will replace the current camera and gallery. If you have a Sense or other kind of Android, you will notice 2 new apps in the app drawer called: Camera and Gallery which belong to the new gallery and camera (no sh*t Sherlock ).
So far this has been tested on an HTC One, an Oppo Find 5 and in an Xperia Z and it's working in all of them with no issues so it will probably work in the rest of Android devices. Also, Photosphere and Panoramic options seems to be working to in all the Android devices with no need of ROOT or anything so, go ahead and try this new camera and gallery.
Source: El Androide Libre
PS: I've tried the APK myself and it's working like a charm. I can take photopsheres and no issues so far.

REQUIREMENT
The app requires that your phone has a gyro sensor (different from accelerometer sensor). Ensure you have this first before installing this app. You can check the "sensors" section of your phone on GSMArena if you don't know if your device has it.
I must be dreaming, wow great job to all involved ripping through this stuff and releasing things only hours after the darn thing came out!
