I totally agree with this.
There are like 2018570912953072 ROMs here at XDA, promising the blue of the sky, the yellow of the egg, the edge of all ROMs.
Changelog/features of useless ROMs usually look like this:
*) FULLY TWEAKED
*) BEST BATTERY LIFE EVAR
*) BUILD.PROP GALORE
*) ALL OTHER ROMS ARE CRAP
*) I AM AWESOME, GET OVER IT

Please provide *exact* information on what was done, e.g. I don't believe you when you say you increased 'video recording quality'. Without significant changes in the display HAL and kernel space, this is impossible.
Performance through research. Not Win-zip porting 'features', 'enhancements' etc from others, or just adding a few new files here and there in /system and insist on being the fastest, best, most awesome ROM.
It's like having a Mercedes (i.e. stock rom) and you're adding a new engine, which can order food, a plastic bumper at the front and a wooden antenna.

We are not against anything you've done or you're going to. But I can borrow some things from 'Themes and Apps' thread, get a stock ROM, apply the changes, add some useless things to build.prop and say 'yo try out this brand new ROM running faster than Sonic and being smooth as a butt of a child'. And it won't be different from your ROM so much.
This is not the first time I say that XDA is getting a ton of new 'ROMs' which are actually just the compilations of new stuff. It wouldn't be bad if there weren't over9000 of the same ROMs without any changes under the hood

Hey guys :laugh: After many time passed without developing I decided restart building my own ROM based on latest AOKP release You may say it's another SGSIII themed ROM, but well this is different! I left all the frameworks and apps unthemed to achieve stability and stay as much stock as possible,and the theme is applied since the first boot through T-Mobile theme engine! In this way 99% of your system is themed and themed icons are not limited to system ones! If you install a new app and it is supported by the theme it will be themed SGS3 style

So when i flashed there was not bootanimation and the install with languague google crashed . But the rom is smooth looking for battery tomorrow :good:

Yeah at first boot everything went fine, now i tried to reflash but i noticed these small issues.. i will release a fix tomorrow

Ok I got it It was a winrar fault,I accidentally compressed the ROM too much and some files corrupted I'm uploading fixed version while going to sleep,as soon it's uploaded you'll see it in my folder

Yeah I meant threads for fake ports and so on! our community experienced some of them It's not the fact I got a bad rating: everyone has its opinion.. but in this way it just makes no sense and moreover it keeps other users from trying my work

I saw your rom have acid audio mod & walkman addon. May I know how you install it without problem?
I just want to know how to install the walkman addon.zip on samsung i9000 galaxy s without fc issues, especially the download info?
I've installed it once on latest cm10 build rom with wipe cache&dalvik cache before install 3 zip files and wipe dalvik cache after installation successful but it still get fc issues

I'm not sure about it because I directly integrated the mod in /system and it just works fine.. However I had the download info crash on RemICS-JB and I solved by deleting the relative apk I can make a CWM package for you if you want!

B]ISSUES:[/B]
We have been asked to leave out PA PREFS APK from the rom and out of respect we have removed it. However this doesnt stop you from doing it yourself
- extract it for my PA rom in this forum - i use root explorer but es file explorer is ok
- copy the paprefs apk to /system/app then reboot
- if it not present change permissions to r/rw then reboot and should be fine
BUGS
Below you should see 2 reports from the guys you tested the initial release however I will post fixes to the most common ones as they report them
- Superuser DPI is very big. to fix this download and install supersu app from play store. after installing the supersu app open it and update all binaries. once done delete superuser from app menu or remove superuser apk from /system/app using root explorer

Navigation bar works now.
AOKP settings is much smoother now.
Super user DPI is still present.
Camera,Wifi,Bluetooth etc etc .-everything working properly.
A bit smoother than the previous version.

Navigation bar in AOKP settings doesn't work.
In 160 DPI , status bar are still of the 320 DPI .
AOKP settings(ROM Control) is a little bit laggy.

Yea of course it is stable..as these are pulled out of android 4.2 system dump , deodexed and compiled to run on any jelly bean devices.. you can give it a try

Only the per app DPI doesn't work without it. And it necessary to have a bugless tablet mode.

read the testers reports
its the interface stuff to change to phablet or tablet ui. the files for that are missing but if you replace the apk with one from my PA rom it should bring those features back. if not wait for future releases as i am sure at some point it will be added in
If you take the paranoid folder from system/etc in the PA rom and transfer into this you will have all the settings too... the config files are in there

I installed it, and it seems to be working. Torch in the notification bar works, fb and browser work, but the notification led still doesn't blink for me. Otherwise nice rom, will be testing it for a while.
EDIT: My camera works with 12 mpx with 4.2 gapps. I also have 2 sets of toggles in notification drawers atm, one aokp and one pa/cm. Torch in pa/cm i much brighter so i disabled aokp toggles
After some further picking i saw thet many of the toggles are duplicated, not only the notification ones, but power menu to.
Also vertigo should i replace the pac files in system>etc with PA ones to get the PA customization?

remember guys that this rom and our work is not meant to compete with any others as all the devs here have contributed to this in their own way. without the guys that were already here we would not be here! I bought an XS and upon checking the forum i saw that all the custom roms that most devices had as std were missing here.................that wasnt fair! we thought why shouldnt XS have all that and more hence we came!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! please enjoy the roms and dont forget to post feedback good or bad. show the other forums out there how cohesion and co operation can exist on XDA...................... thanks again guys for all you support!

Cm10 is much faster than Cm10.1. How you didn't notice it?
Hey ahmed can you fix my ROM's name? It's GamerzROM. Not Gamerz ROM.
And please type ROM version you get tweaks to info. Because I will integrate next tweaks to framework not ini.d. I will commit these tweaks to some of my friends ROM's from git(Only aways ROM's for now.). If you type version that will be more fair.

Its not as if I dont know that CM10 is faster. Just that development in the CM10 tree is pretty slow, now that it is stable , and the kernels are not updated for quite some time too.

Which differences you saw on kernel since cm10? Linux 3.0.80? What this gained? Even if you compare linux 3.0 and 3.10 you won't see dramatically improved speed or something. Cm10 million times faster with stock kernel than Cm10.1 full overclocked 410mb ram conf. There is no a big difference on visual framework and chrome, google play music etc works 2 times smoother on this one. (Not even usable on cm10.1.)

Then tell us why we should use your ROM if it is the same as others are. Or provide us the information about particular differences.

Harsh words, though they most probably are true (I did not test the rom).
What I miss in our Xperia S development section are stock based roms, that really justify their existence with unique features, something that really makes them different compared to stock roms and each other.
You know, it's not about putting big words like 'the best; fastest; smoothest; most stable' etc..
Guess why you won't find these meanless promises in any CM/AOSP rom thread (at least in none that is professional).
Performance through research. Not through some weird init.d scripts/build.prop edits.
I don't mean to be rude here, just trying to point you in the right direction

That's what I meant with my post. The author should add some features which actually make the users come to try out the ROM. Reinventing a wheel is not special.

thank you for the welcome. .. seriously the differents rom official Sony are all at least at 450mo 500mo minimum... except the slim by Yakandu (296mo) but without the Sony tools ... I offer a compromise between slim and attractive feature is ...

this ROM is ready from more than a week ... but tests have lasted ... and the resolution of some pb ... three days now that I'm on my rom and 0 worries... thank you to respect this topic, as I respect the your ...

I think the criticism is quite useless if the person does not seek to test the rom! how can you complain without even trying? it is incomprehensible! I like this ROM, and other users will certainly appreciate, too!

In short, it is different from most other rom tweaker ... and it provide a comfort pop up quick reply ... Sony launcher fully customizable and mms/sms fully customizable, themes Z, wallpapers Z + Zu and more feature... this thinness is a guarantee of performance ...
No need overdose of tweak...
