[Q] Huawei Ascend P1: solving internal memory full issue with mounts2sd - Huawei Ascend P1

Hi guys,
I've got a Huawei Ascend P1, rooted and with the stock firmware B315 (JellyBean EmUI v1.5 beta).
It worked like a charm for the first months, but now the internal memory is full.
I tried to solve by formatting my external sd card and installing mounts2sd.
But mounts2sd doesn't work, it says: "the init.d startup script could not be copied to the system partition".
I searched for a solution and my question is: is it possible to use mounts2sd with a stock firmware or does it require a custom firmware?
Is there any other app (like simple2ext, link2sd, a2sd) which works with stock firmwares or they all use a similar technique (sd-ext)?

Try factory reset.
Try wiping with CWM it you have
Try repair with Pc companion IF you have LOCKED bootloader
create a partition on sd card and use link2sd to move apps..tat way u can increase your memory for apps

if you can use ADB run a this
Code:
adb shell mount
then copy and paste it here.
but i would say that the reflash you did has gone wrong....
Pvy.
Hi all,
Thanks for the replies. I couldn't reply since I was out of station and will be back in a couple of days.I will check and reply once I am back.
How to check this "adb shell mount" through cmd in fastboot folder?
By the way, I now switched back to MiUi rom and now the phone shows 420 MB of internal space.
I tried this from the fastboot folder but there was no response.
Today I flashed BB 64 and then Advanced Stock Kernel and tried to flash TEAM ROM.But it went to bootloop

[Q] Mildwild 4.4 and sd-ext

I just installed Mildwild 4.4 and everything works fine except for the sd-ext method... I turned on the the option "SD-EXT" in Setting>Applications>Development and rebooted.
The sd-ext IS mounted.
Now i chose sd-ext in Setting>Applications>Preferred install location and now everytime I install an app from the Play Store the phone just freezes and reboots with the Mildwild logo and the application that I installed isn't installed.
this doesn't happen when i choose that the preffered install location is on the internal storage. also, when I try to move an application to the sd-ext it says i don't have enough space, but I have 950 MB of space.
I searched for it and nobody seems to have this problem of freezing when installing an app to the sd-ext.
Is it a problem in the play store?
does anyone know how to fix this problem?
How did you partition your sd card?
Should be done with gparted or 4ext recovery only (not minitool or cloclworkmod recovery)

I partitioned with 4ext recovery but nevermind i just figured out how to solve this and now it's working.
this is what I did (because im sure some people will also have this problem) :
1. Formatted the sd card completely.
2. Partitioned all over again.
3. Factory reseted, flashed rom.
4. Activated all of the options in the settings that I needed and now it's working.
Edit: Now i have an another problem. whenever i try to install an app it says: "package file is invalid".
I've got a similar problem but with MildWild 5.2... I installed 4.4 previously and got sd-ext working flawlessly but I decided to go for a CM based rom because I was just too used to some of the features. But I can't figure out how to get sd-ext to work
Anyone got an idea? It's a regular 1gb ext4 partition created with 4ext recovery that worked fine with MildWild 4.4. Also did a complete wipe (including cache) before flashing the rom.

When you apply SD-EXT the script will link your INTERNAL memory to EXT parttition on your SD so you must install app on INTERNAL memory in order to properly place the app on EXT, DO NOT INSTALL APP ON SD (in this case, keep the option "internal" in install location setting)

Isn't that just with int2sd? The solution in MildWild 4.4 seemed to work perfectly well with having it set to external.
I'm currently testing CronMod-Int2ext+ and it seems to be working and with that one I'll definitely keep it to internal
A quick question to the ones that has Mildwild 4.4 working: Does the standard media player support WMA music playback or are you using a music player that support WMA music playback including album art and artist information (e.g NOT Rockplayer)?
I use the Oxygen 2.3.2 and cannot get MWA music to play with any decent music player (yes, Rockplayer play the MWA files, but with no album art, artist/album information...). I have tried PowerAmp but it stops working afte approx 30 seconds of MWA play...

Do I need to delete one of the scripts in etc/init.d folder?

[Q] int2ext+ problem after reboot - SOLVED

Hi
Due to low internal memory, I decided to flash my sister's HTC WFS with new firmware which supports int2ext+. Tried with "stock rom by crossfire 77" and "Marvellous Sense3.5 by Kevinjoa" (both great roms :good: ) but on both appeared the same problem. After installation of int2ext+ and first reboot - everything go OK (everything from google play install without error, everything runs nice), but after second reboot downloaded apps dissapear or "force close" window pop up (google play show only install option - not run or uninstall on apps that was already installed). What should i do ? Or what i do wrong ? Before installation of new firmware, everything was wiped, sd card has two partition (FAT32 ~ 7GB, EXT ~ 1GB - partitioned by CWM and formatted). Phone shows in settings ~ 700 MB of free internal memory. Please help.

Hi i had a similar problem i've installed on my htc WFS CyanogenMod10.1-20130703-4.3-F-NIGHTLY-marvel and CronMod-INT2EXT4+_signed to have more space on my device.
Everything went smooth till i restarted the device oan when it booted the aplications that i installed disapired from the system well the system didnt see them even that the icons where on sreen.
Try to flash again that mod int2ext and see if the aplication returns.
I did that and it helped.
The problem is that if i turn the "Advanced Restart" whenever i restar the HTC the aplications disapir and when the option is turn off the aplications are there and working.
Sorry for my english

Do you mean "quick turn on" in power settings ? ( I turned this option off - still problem remains, even if i reinstall int2ext+)
I cannot find anything called advanced restart.

I am using Marvellous Sense 3.5 right now, it has barely any bugs...
For the best bugless rom you could flash stock (marvellous sense 2.1 or the perfectly stock rom with extra features). They all work perfectly with int2ext

I dunno how to check, but if you have 2012 wfs, it should not even boot except if you have the right kernel. Maybe you have a faulty sdcard?

Ok i recomend you the rom that i use : CyanogenMod 10.1-20130703-4.3-F-NIGHTLY-marvel plus cron mod.
I have that rom and it works fine but you must remember "do not turn the advance power setting on" if you turn it on every time you restart your WFS you lose your data.
You can find the rom on this forum just look for it
If you need any help with it just send me a message i help you with it.
Thanks for all replies - I solved problem yesterday.
This is what i used to do (errors appears after that):
1. Wipe everything using recovery,
2. Flash new rom (Sense 3.5 wit int2ext+ ),
3. Partition SD card using ClockWordMod 5.0.2.8 (1GB Ext 3, rest Fat32).
4. First reboot everything works great,
5. Next reboots - errors and FC appears. - STOP
This is what i made yesterday (no errors):
1. Partition SD card using MiniTool Partition (750 MB Ext4, rest Fat32),
2. Wipe everything using recovery (SD card not inserted because: 1st - I format it in MiniTool Partiton. 2nd - to eliminate clockworkmod format error ?)
3. Insert SD card and flash new rom (again Sense 3.5 with int2ext+).
4. EVERYTHING WORKS (even after multiplie reboots, with fastboot option enabled) NO ERRORS - yupii
Now other questions - what I made wrong in the past ?
- Partition was too big ?
- Ext3 filesystem caused this errors ?
- ClockWordMod 5.0.2.8 has bug in format option ?

First of all when i wrote you the problem with advance reboot i meen not the option in regular settings.
I wrote you about Cyanogenmod in this rom there is an option that coused problems.
I recommend you to format your card with minitool with every rom you want to flash next time.
I am certain that the clockwork format is failing becouse the only thing you changed was formating the card with minitool.
Every time i try new rom i format my card with minitool and i have no problems with any rom (if the rom has no bugs itself)
I've once made partitions with clockwork and then my rom has several problems so i use minitool from then.
Right now i have 8gb card and i always do the same partitions : 1st Fat32 (about 5700mb) 2nd Ext3 (about 1100mb) 3rd Linux swap (rest of the card ) and everything and all the roms i'm flashing goes well and without any problems.
If you want to reduce the time to whipe everything on your WFS i recommend you SuperWipeMarvelcEdition when you flash it you format and whipe everything from your HTC.

[Q] [RECOVERY] ClockworkMod Recovery [v6.0.4.8]

Hi all, I have a problem with the new CWM.
I trying to get functioned KK (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2735775).
1. I have succesfully installed KK rom
2. I have succesfully installed gapps for KK rom
3. Now I want to get more internal memory using the int2ext+ script..but there is the problem..firstly I tried to install int2ext+ but when I rebooted I find out that internal memory is same as without metioned script, so I tried to install int2extV2+..again, no more space in internal memory..so I decided that there is a problem with "no partion"..I tried to find out in mentioned recovery where to partition the card, but I cannot find it, how to solve this problem please? And is necessary to reinstall rom etc. because of "non-succesfully flashed two int2ext scripts"?
Thanks

The problem is that int2ext script doesn't work on kitkat, and if it works you'll lose radio capability , so no baseband , no radio
If you want more space for app on kitkat, use mount2sd. First download the app , install the script through the app and then configure the script.
Mount everything except , data and system app. Mount2sd script will works, but you'll still see internal memory ( is not like int2ext that shows unified memory) but this time it doesn't get full
My advice is to create a partition of 2GB, not bigger, and use at least a class6 microsd.

I have studied this problem on S5830 (Ace).
Strange thing is int2ext works fine when installed on CM11 (kitkat) !
Wifi is lost as soon as gapps (playstore) is installed...
/data/nvram is missing...
Unfortunately I haven't advanced knowledge of android otherwise i would modify by myself the script. This script is really well done, is very powerful and a lot better than mounts2sd. It's a pity that after jelly bean is not working properly.

I'm working on a mod for kitkat. I have the script installing (int2extV2+) fine, but still facing other problems....
edit: I included mv of hidden files from /data, now working fine!
CM11 + the int2ext script makes Ace run SLOW...
What kind of problems ? Anyway, now i'm using link2sd, with kitkat no problem. I have still 380 mb of free internal memory and 42 apps installed. Apps and games are fast like in super jelly bean 8 . Give it a try.
