If you have any issues or questions, please feel free to post them in the our threads. However, because all of us have social lives outside of XDA, your questions may not always be answered right away. Members who are more experienced in our work, please help out the ones who don't.
If you want to get the fastest and the best answer - ask the question in our threads instead of PM'ing us. Chances are, other users will be able to help you when Team Members don't have the time to.

We are a busy team! Every Team Member has lives outside of XDA. You cannot expect us to sit in front of the computer all day and develop Android. Please do not ask for ETA's. The update will come when we release it. Sometimes, there is a good reason for why we have not released an update in a while. Please be patient with us, we will do as we promise. Updates will come.

I love this ROM. I'm a big fan of Meizu from the M6 days. It's super fast and smooth. Aside from the graphics glitches already mentioned, I found a couple. The backlight on the hard keys stays lit even when the screen is dark and the camera flash will not work. Those are the only two I've found so far but I'm going to have to switch back to another rom until those get solved. Can't wait until this ROM gets further along in development. I can already tell it will be a favorite.

i didn't know that flash didn't work though, will look into that

EDIT: the only possible way i can think of so far to fix the camera is to try a different Camera APK...can you test or someone that for me?

As this is ICS will the headphones work without killing the battery?

Browser is force closing and I can't get any apps to download on google play. They start to update but never download tried wifi and normal data.
The ROM is great looking and very different from everything else here. Please keep up the great work I would love to see this ROM fixed up.

and strange...browser works for me...anyone else?
EDIT: just tried downloading an app, worked fine for me.

Didn't try browser but apps downloaded fine on Google play. Actually downloaded really fast.
Will test another camera apk if I get a chance but probably won't be able to get it until Saturday or Sunday. Sorry.

I made this by creating a hybrid of a Crespo CM9 Nightly and Blackwing182's IceColdInsomnia build. I will be working hard to remove all AOKP left overs and making this as pure CM9 as I can. This will increase stability and functionality as well as giving you, the users, as close to ICS CyanogenMod as I can give you.

-Known Issues:
1. Incoming calls look strange but function perfectly. Here is what I mean. The slider button to either accept or reject the call is half way off the screen and has tracers. This is due to left over AOKP frameworks and is being worked out actively and aggressively. To answer the call, press the center button and drag right. To hang up press the center button and drag left. It works every time.
2. ROM Controls is another leftover from AOKP frameworks. This will eventually be replaced with the Cyanogen controls. For now it force closes when clicked. This is being actively and aggressively being worked out.
3. Play Store seems to not always want to download. I've seen this a lot recently ever since the Play Store was last updated. The higher your connection speed the easier this process goes. I'm trying to track down anything I can do to make this better, but it may be a Play Store "feature" not sure yet.
4. There are some random freezes and such. I haven't had anything crazy happen, but basically it's a pretty rough port. I'm learning as I go and this will settle down as A. ICS stabilises, and B. I weed out remaining AOKP code.
5. Camera. The camera (both front and back) start with having a blank screen where it should display what you are going to take a picture of. When you click the button it will successfully take a picture and will begin desplaying correctly. This resets when you switch front to back or back to front. Landscape mode is upside down. Finally, video recording doesn't work. Our top coder is working hard on the camera issues all the time. They will be hammered out as fast as we can, be patient please.

-I think bluetooth works, but have nothing to test it with. If not I should be able to have it working next build, just let me know.
-Everything else should work, other than what's described I've been running this for two days without major upset. Again, it's an alpha build and IS BEING HEAVILY DEVELOPED! I really hope you enjoy this as much as I have.

all I ask is that everyone remember, it IS an Alpha build, and the incoming call thing IS freaky the first time. Now it almost seems like a drugged out feature lolz.

Stock CM9! Can't wait till this becomes stable, and thank you for all your hard work. I'm really happy for this sudden ICS boom by the developers.

Sorry I havn't been updating this guys, My 2nd mytouch hard bricked again for no reason and is in HTC hands right now. if they figure out its rooted then im gonna have to end up getting a sensation since they are very cheap on craigslist.

I would try this if I wasn't so far down the ICS rabbit hole, Black Ice was my all time favorite GB ROM hands down. In fact I know I have a Black Ice Nandroid backup that could use an update...
These days I flash my phone about 400% more than I actually make phone calls. Sigh.

The guide seems fine but I haven't used it successfully yet. They flash without error but don't boot. I fear there are errors in my Kitchen. I'm only researching and studying Android like 4 hours a day so I still have a lot of work to do
Man I am pumped Black Ice is resurrected. I hope someone Black Ices ICS... somehow...

yes, i had restore my apps in three steps....but i found a bug: i don't know if already exist a fix for that beacause it is not the first cm7 with this problem, the microphone headsets doesn't work!!

What exact problem? I've restored many apps with and without data and could not find anything wrong.

Question: Is your sound working for music? I'm testing it and its not working, but I need to know if its just my phone or the rom before i try to fix it. With or without headphones.

Yes music is ok. when i call with headsets i can hear who is at the other end, but he/her doesn't hear me.

Anyone else getting an error message for all apps in the play store, stating that the app isn't compatible with this device? I can't install anything.

It should be noted that the Desire S version is based on Android 4.0.3. All of the 4.0.3 ROMs for our phone are ancient, so I chose to use CM9 (4.0.4) as a base and some fixes from ...Awesome... DianXinOS has been under development for many months, but has only recently come to ICS. As such, there is quite a bit of Chinese. The ROM is still very usable, but improvements will be made in coming versions.

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Download here:
2. Reboot into recovery and wipe, at minimum, SYSTEM, data, cache, dalvik-cache. If you do not perform a full wipe expect no support from me.
3. Reboot and wait 5 minutes to let it settle.
4. Open No-Frills CPU Control and set CPU to, 1024 max (or your preference), 245 min, smartassV2, noop, check "Apply on boot" and hit apply.
I have chosen to use LordMod's Andromadus kernel. Don't like it? Flash another one. Also, DX does not have a CPU controller built in, so I have included No-Frills CPU control as a light and free alternative. It is in data/app for easy uninstallation.
If you experience GPS issues run GPS Status, also included, and you should be good to go.

I do but to be honest outside of aokp/aosp/sense4 I've never really used a different rom so when I got the chance to test it at first I was like hell no this isn't my style rom but after playing with it and setting it up and fixing some bugs its not that bad I like the UI. Something different I guess

Well yea for sure it's something different, like you step into the Apple world UI wise. I use to love MIUI then i don't remember why I stop using it ~XD

If you have fixed any more bugs than the ones we talked about last night, please feel free to share.

At least don't stop the developement of Sense roms... heck, even the vanilla roms... I hate apple... this could be the best rom, but I would never make my phone look as an Iphone...

Love the ROM! Four initial thoughts after running it for a few hours.
1. Is it possible to add the external SD card as an option for the camera?
2. Are you planning to create a Toggle to turn off the Tablet UI in the settings?
3. Love the NAV Bar option! Could you add Google Now to it when you swipe up? I grew accustomed to it from my nexus 7 and would love to have a quick access for it on my S3 as well!
4. Superuser popups are huge. Am I missing a control option for this?
Great ROM! Can't wait to see the Battery life on it! Seems to be great so far! Thanks for all your work!
