[HELP] Problem On G-sensor / Accelerometer sensor - Galaxy Ace II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, I had this problem on my phone that is the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 GT-I8160. Initially I tried to use the Auto-Rotation feature back. Once could be in a state of Landscape, when I play back in an upright position at the same instant Portrait indirect screen returns to normal.
Then I tried to play the game Moto Racing, consequently always turn right and crashing. After my rather tilt the phone slightly to the left (left oblique) turns back to normal straight. I concluded my phone, there are problems with the G-sensor is slightly deviated to the left oblique.
I have tried to use the manual calibration sorts of apps Bubble, bubble and so on but the power has absolutely no effect.
Is there really a problem in Hardware G-sensor my phone. What had to be taken to the Samsung Service Centre? But I tried to fix this on their own and the help of friends here.
If there is a solution please help and let me know.

[Q] Possible to reset the Accelerometer or Touchscreen?

I have 2 annoyances with my Xperia Play -
1) The Accelerometer is off-level. When i start an accelerometer game, the thing affected by the accelerometer normally starts to tilt forwards. I need to angle the phone to make it "level" properly. Games that can reset the accelerometer work fine obviously, since i can reset it, but games that do not have that option are unplayable as everything tilts the wrong way and is not level.
Anyway i can reset the accelerometer?
2) Sometimes when i touch the very right hand side of the screen in landscape mode, the left hand side of the screen activates. Very annoying when typing as wrong letter appear. And some games get annoying. Any way to reset the touch points of the touchscreen?
Also, does the Xperi Play have a Gyroscope? some say yes, others say no. If yes, can i perform a reset on this too?
Thanks for any answers.
Most games are made that the neutral position is under an angle and not when the device is flat. This is done because most often you hold the phone in your hands a bit before you and you look at it from above with an angle. I don;t know of a way to reset this.
Also I don;t know how to calibrate the touchscreen. You can use this app: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1045374 to check where the touchscreen is faulty.
Hi, I have a similar problem with xperia x8. When playing e.g. the 'Falldown' game from the market, the ball goes to the left in neutral position. It's quite annoying...

[Q] HELP! Always Active Front Camera!

Hi, I have a very weird problem with my N7100. When I put my finger or anything in front of my front camera, the toggle bar will disappear and the screen will be still and no response. This is really bothering especially when I am playing games. Cause I swipe my finger in front of my front camera unpurposely and the game will be interrupted. It looks like the front camera is active to detect anything in front it, and if there is any thing blocking front camera, the screen will be frozen up!
This problem start with my official system (Samsung Touchwiz) comes with N7100. So I rooted my phone and put alliencerom there, it comes back again....If you restart the system, it goes away for a while and will come back sometime. Really bothering, I have found out what is the trigger, I believe there is a trigger though.
So I don't know any N7100 user encountered the same problem? And any idea about getting rid of it?
Thanks so much!

I checked all those and they are off, I actually never turned them on. Today I found that after I use groove ip make a phone call. The problem will come up. I don't know exactly how.....
I test it a little and I found it is the function of Groove IP which freeze the screen when you are making a call. But somehow after you done with your call, the front camera just keeps doing so. I think there is something with screen rotation during the call.
Now I think problem solved by checking off "auto rotate" in Groove ip setting.
Thanks, XDAer.

Sensor problems (brightness, auto rotate etc)

Since a few weeks my LG G3 has te following problems:
- Auto rotation is not working
- Camera is unable to focus frequently when starting the app for the first time
- Camera is not saving while recording, but photos are working fine
- Screen is not turning off while making a phone call
- Auto brightness is not working
- Sometimes the infrared sensor at the front side of the screen is constantly turned on, untill I reboot
I've dropped the phone once, very softly from like 20 cm, on the right bottom side.
The strange thing is that the problems occurd step by step and sometimes disappeared after rebooting, but now all the problems listed above are unfixable.
Checked CPU-Z at the sensors tab, none of them seem to work:
And the original values from a fully working LG G3:
Any ideas on how to fix this, it's getting really annoying right now.
Thanks,
Niek
I guess returning the phone to LG is not going to work, since it has already one scratch mark on it from falling.
Any ideas?
hi @Niekjuh,, how the solution for your phone ?
Returned the phone, they could not repair it so returned the money instead.

Screen rotation lag

Has anyone else had a screen rotation issue on their Note 4?
In almost all apps, rotating from portrait to landscape or landscape to portrait has a very long delay. Usually at least 10 seconds, and sometimes not at all unless I tap the phone on a hard surface, and then it rotates.
That might suggest a sensor problem, except for 2 things that do work:
1) In camera mode, the buttons rotate instantly when I rotate the phone
2) In GPS status, which indicates phone orientation, it registers the screen rotation as roll in the pitch/roll display, although the GPS status screen does not rotate correctly either.
These seem to confirm that the actual sensor is working ok.
I've tried safe mode, clearing cache, closing all open apps. Nothing changes in the behavior. I also tried turning off SmartStay, and changing display mode.
Some hits I found suggested turning off "smart screen rotation" on the S5, but that setting doesn't seem to exist on the Note 4.
Has anyone had this problem and found a solution?

This is like a dead giveaway for a hardware problem.
Wow, 10 seconds is a looooonnnggg time for a screen rotation. I've never experienced this on my Note 4, so the only thing I can think of is talking to your carrier or Samsung themselves to ask about it. Sounds like a hardware failure to me.
Yeah, that does make it seem like a hardware problem. But like I said, the camera buttons rotate instantly every single time, with zero lag. That would seem to say the hardware is working, unless the camera uses a different sensor for rotation than the rest of the UI.
Also, my wife has the same issue with her Note 4. We got them at the same time, so maybe it's a problem with that batch.
Since we both have it, it seemed like it could be caused by some app we both have, but I thought booting in Safe Mode would eliminate that, as only stock apps run in Safe Mode.
I guess I could wipe the device completely and see if it resolves. If not, I'll take it in as a hardware problem.
After a full wipe and cache clear, it still has the same problem. I called Verizon, and they are shipping out a replacement phone.

H815 gyroscope fail

Hi all,
I'm having a strange issue with my G4 H815, and I hope someone here can help!
The problem is that the phone won't rotate the screen when you rotate the device, and then the touch screen will not work. I must turn the screen off and then on again in order for the touch to work. But it will stop working as soon as I tilt the device (activate the gyroscope to rotate the screen). After some time this will force phone to restart and then it finds hard to boot up again.
I think it's gyroscope because the problem happens when I turn the device on the side for eg. when I open camera everything is OK but if I try to take a landscape photo it will immediately freeze. And I also did the testing procedure (277634#*#) when I test the motion sensor gyroscope values hardly change. Also in Settings>Display>Motion Sensor Calibration I get and error "Cannot Calibrate"
My questions are:
Where is gyroscope located?
Is it part of mb (soldered to the mother board)?
Does the screen digitizer affect gyroscope function? (because the glue on the top of my screen has come loose but I don't see it affecting anything other then proximity sensor).
