nice work!!! fast and smooth

YAYYYYYY!!!! you're awesome, bro!
By the way, I was wondering if you could add halo window functionality? By that I don't mean halo. I use an app called floating notifications and it just added the option of opening apps in halo mode(a floating window) if the ROM supports it.
Not sure if it'd be too much of a hassle, but I just think it'd be cool. Thanks for the aokp build man! :good:

Okay. I think jellybeer does it pretty good: user has option to use floating windows or not. When they get a notification, they click the notification and it'll open the app as a floating window. Now that floating notification app has support for it, when you get the notification you click on the little icon and it'll open the app as a floating window. Basically floating notifications is an alternative notification center rather than the status bar.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=robj.floating.notificationsthere's floating notifications.
But the more important part, the part that allows floating windows is built into the ROM.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=42796194&postcount=2001 that is a post by the lead dev on how to add floating window support to your ROM.
https://github.com/BeerGang here is their github. If you need, the dev, Benjamin is a very friendly person and I'm sure he'd be happy to tell you exactly what to do.
Thanks for looking into it

I downgraded to the 4.1 bootloader just to run AOKP. I upgraded back to 4.2 because the 4.1 aokp's where just...to slow. Not this ROM! It's faster than any I've tried, and trust me, I've tried them all. If anyone is on the 4.2 bootloader and have been waiting for an AOKP, this is it!
Excellent work guys!

So, I've been on the rom for about 14 hours and I love CM but this has little tweaks to it that I can say, seem to speed things up, and my battery is doing great on its very first charge.
I'm on Nova Launcher Prime just in case anyone asks.
I'm using stock kernel that it was delivered with and no tweaks of my own, besides splash screen and Boot Ani.
If anyone has any questions I'll be glad to answer them, and help DJ out as much as possible.
Build.prop edit for Instagram issue people report.
Code:

To

Looks great don't know if you saw my other message but anyway to get a cm 10 4.2 build since everything needed its out maybe a frosty flavored port of hellybean that is 4.2 for the international sgs3 which DerTeuful makes his own kernel and his builds are just as stable as official builds
I know you can add that special twist to the rom and get everything working correctly for our phones

The one thing I have no way of testing, BlueTooth. I don't drive so I have absolutely no use of the feature. I'm guessing the same issues will arise with this rom until further notice, as they are not listed in the OP. Also to those that are interested.
for the weird Instagram issues that have been reported, if you did not know, it has a weird editing, applying filters issue, I don't edit in the app so I don't know if this fixes it or not. Here is elesbb's fix. just a simple edit in the build.prop folder....
I recommend editing it yourself as I'm sure DJ has edited the build prop and this will keep everything else entact
Code:
debug.mdpcomp.maxlayer=3
To
debug.mdpcomp.maxlayer=0
Anything else I can add to the first couple of posts? to keep things a little organized here?

PER-APP-DPI/LAYOUT. This is not tablet mode! Hybrid engine allows you to target apps individually. You get to pick their actual layouts which can tranform content drastically. Keep in mind, this has nothing to do with build.prop hacks or DPI changes. We list all layouts an app brings, you choose one, its as easy as that. It does not matter if your device runs itself in Phone-, Phablet or Tablet-UI, your apps will always look as you like. On top of that you can scale apps, to fit your screen, that way you can even bring full fledged tablet apps and make them run perfectly. Nothing will break, nothing will shrink, your market will be fine. Additionally we have rewritten many parts of the android framework and fixed countless of AOSP bugs to make way for these modifications - our "tablet mode" runs better on a phone than on a real tablet, that is guaranteed.
PER-APP-COLOR, Paranoidandroids newest invention. Define apps in your regular hybrid panel. See your phone fade into the color definition of your current app, press home or go elsewhere and it fades back. Create as many combinations you like, you can even dabble with opacity. This feature is made possible by our hybrid engine, which is unique to this rom.

flash in cwmr then for service and wifi, flash Dman's Covenant kernel v3, then flash gapps! so far everything is working and has all the same bugs as cm10 and PAC. have not included the backlight fix yet. but will get there! Enjoy!
Well done mate! Now that i've built CM10 with Dman's guide, next step would be to learn building the AOSP, AOKP ROMS out there. Can you guide me through where you started or can point me towards a couple of guides that helped you out.
Edit : Porting doesn't seem so much fun, once you can build through source

It's always recommended to wipe data and format system before installing any new rom.

In the next release I will hopefully have the back lighting, kernel and other bugs if any fixed
But will possibly be after the new year holiday! Transferring my Ubuntu build system to a larger drive and plan to spend some time with the family.

Just bundle the covenant kernel with your ROM, so its easier for users to apply.
Yup I think even allocating 130gb won't be enough and I'll have to increase that as well. Maybe somewhere to 300 gb should be good.

I tried the ROM, and it was pretty good. Some of the keys on the keyboard were a bit sticky (I noticed the U/7 key in particular), and torch doesn't work. I've been using Paranoid Android for quite a while on my Nexus 7 and I definitely love the ROM, so I'm looking forward to using this as my daily driver once it's capable.
Also, there is no way to change the status bar icons (time, wifi and battery indicators). I don't know if that's something you can fix, or if that's up to the PA team. I can do it on my Nexus 7, but I also have PA 2.99 on it. Overall, it is a very good ROM, dbrannon. :good:

How do you turn off the color thing in the status bar?

I put a message in to Utacka about how to update to 2.99 but the official repo is buggy and has not been updated in a while! his repo however was forked when everything was stable for building. when I attempted to build using the official repo, I got tuns of errors! only had one with Utacka's repo wich was an error on my part!
Thanks
Thanks for the rom
Issue I noticed:
no back-light keyboard
no torch
As for the rest it seems perfect

That is the thing I noticed. At least for the Nexus 7, they are on Beta 9 of 2.99, so it may be worth waiting until they officially release PA 3.0 and then update it. As I said, though, very good ROM, and I look forward to future updates on it.

Other Info
All in all, this ROM is Cyanogenmod 10.1 with a few graphic changes. It also includes various extra features that have been cherry picked from multiple sources. In addition this ROM is compiled without the use of cchache and only full clean builds are released. This means that it will take longer for me to compile, however it will result in a reduced chance of bugs and maybe even an increase in performance. A little warning: I do not own a d2tmo, and therefore the ROM is not always thoroughly tested. Although I highly doubt that flashing this ROM will cause any permanent damage to your phone, there is a risk involved. To be honest the worst that could possibly happen is the ROM doesn't boot due to a change that I have made. That it why I always recommend making a nandroid backup before flashing, so that in the case that the ROM does not work as expected you can easily revert your phone back to a functioning state.
More features will be added soon, and I will be trying to compile new builds at least once a week. Leave a comment and let me know what you think

Thanks! Will give it a try.
Let's see how this plays out
U won't be disappointed!
Great Rom Chromium! this build is pretty awesome, feels really smooth, fonts are good, a little more debloated than the regular CM, it's pretty good I think, the comunity will love it!! Happy Flashing GUYS!!!!
OHH by the way.. OP only mentions Factory reset, but @Chromium when I test this Builds I would always do a full wipe, System, Factory, Cache and Dalvik. specially if someone is coming from a NON AOSP Rom LIke TouchWiz or any Rom below 4.2.2.
Just an idea I don't mean to be disrespecful...!

Thanks. I said to do a factory reset, and after flashing wipe the cache and dalvik. Also when flashing the rom, it will wipe the /system for you, so its not necessary to do it manually. Though theres no harm in doing that if you want to be extra thorough with your wiping
New build! Check out the OP to see some of the new features, as well as find the download link. Feedback is appreciated.
Sounds nice! Few questions, does this have transparency settings and does it have the new Privacy Guard feature?
Edit: does it have nav bar too?

Im honestly not sure if it has privacy guard. I updated my code yesterday at around 3:00am est, and i believe cm pushed the feature to their cm some time yesterday. Try it out and see Or maybe someone currently running the rom can answer the question?
As for the navbar, yes it does have it. Along with some options to edit whats on it.
No transparency settings yet, other than what cm already has.
Im planning on adding this feature though. Interested?

I'm currently compiling a new build with the camera tile included. I also think it has privacy guard.
Does anyone have suggestions of what other features I should add?

Just flashed this ROM with the f93 CM kernel, and I have to say; this ROM is BLAZING ****ing fast, man.
