Upgrading RT? - Windows RT General

Is it possible to upgrade the Dell XPS 10 which comes with RT to a pro version? If not what is the next best pro tablet for the least amount of money? Thanks!

It impossible because the architecture of CPU was not the same. Windows RT CPU base on ARM but Windows 8 Pro CPU base on x86-64.

Could you put the win8 pro version on the Dell?
I would think so, but would the touch screen be supported. No idea if the xps has touch

[Q]Windows 8 on Samsung GT3 10.1 (P5220)?

Hi all,
It's too early to ask but is there any possibility that the new Samsung GT3 10.1 (P5220) can support Windows 8?:fingers-crossed:
From what i've learnt, it has the Intel Atom Z2560 and Windows 8 supports that chipset, right?
I am looking for an alternative to Sony Tablet S which has either been discontinued or trashed as I am unable to find a vendor anywhere in India selling them.
I am crazy about the IR Blaster feature (both available for the above two devices).:victory:
And if Windows 8 can be installed, that would be VERY great too.:fingers-crossed:
Please share your thoughts.:good:

it is not completely a matter of windows 8 having support for the chip it is a matter of the boot loader and being able to load it theoretically if the tablet was identical to a windows tablet if the boot loader and rom image could be transplanted successfully it might work but i would not hold my breath on that working soon the most likely way you could possibly do it is remote desktop or virtual machine but then again that is not really running it on the hardware.

Is the k3v2 64bit ?

I just came across this.
http://www.techradar.com/news/phone...-d-quad-is-as-powerful-as-a-64-bit-pc-1066474
It boasts of Ascend D quad being 64bit. But i checked the specs of both Ascend D as well as the newer D2 and both are k3v2 quad core 1.5ghz. So either p6 is 64bit too or Ascend D isnt 64bit.
Edit: Here too: http://www.hisilicon.com/news/news/k3v2_20120226.html
So I wonder how this unique feature that only few newer mobiles recently got can help huawei mobiles do stuff that others cannot. :?
http://www.cnx-software.com/2012/02/27/hisilicon-unveils-quad-core-cortex-a9-k3v2-processor-hi3620/
The mobile hardware and software ecosystem is already moving in the direction of 64-bit; and, the evolution to 64-bit brings desktop class capabilities and user experiences to mobile, as well as enabling mobile processors and software to run new classes of computing devices.

Huawei should make use of the 64bit capabilities in Emotion 2.0 and show it off a bit.

You need obviously 64 bit CPU

Can Windows 10 run on a Note 10.1 P600?

Will we potentially see Windows 10 on an android tablet like the Note 10.1?
Maybe an android/Windows 10 dual booting device.

It depends if the tablet(s) you're referring to has a CPU onto which windows can run on.
No, will never happen on an ARM device. Get a Surface Pro 3, it dual boots Android-x86 perfectly. Yes, native android.

Running Windows XP with Bochs on Asus Zenfone 2

The Zenfone 2 has an Intel Atom Z3580 processor, which supports virtualization technology (VT-x). This should allow to run Windows XP under Bochs, even much faster than an ARM processor does. Did anyone try this already?

Question Would OnePlus 9 ROMs work on the 10 pro?

Hardware is very similar, both using the same processor / GPU so may work??
Not sure on the cameras but would be more of a sideways port rather than a fresh ROM.
Hope to see a unified development at some point, not sure how that's going to work with the messy forum structure but I guess we'll see.
No way this will work
They don't using the same processor / GPU
10 Pro Qualcomm SM8450 / Adreno 730
9 Pro Qualcomm SM8350 / Adreno 660
.....and and and

Oh crap, thought they were both 888's
Well thanks for this.
The bad news just keeps mounting up for the 10.
Just found out that macro lens either doesn't exist or just doesn't work.

Yeah , OnePlus did a "downgrade" to 9 PRO with the Camera
I have the 9 PRO ( I've buy'd only because the hardware ) only using with a custom ROM
The OOS is not worth to use....

Well I have the 8 pro running Evo X, it's brilliant, looks like the last decent OnePlus.. what the hell happened?
How can they not have a macro lens? Makes no sense.
Looking for the silver lining on this phone and having a hard time.
If the DEV’s from custom ROM's don’t support the ONEPLUS devices then this company will DiE in no time FACT
Well I still have my 8 pro, plus can still send the 10 pro back.
Quite annoyed by it, but I did manage to get some of the new buds for free with it. So not a total loss
Hopefully „Nothing Phone“ will came out a device like the initial ONEPLUS on her START
A device worth the PRICE

10 pro is not so bad.
I see some speed test : S22 Ultra vs. 10 pro. Oneplus was faster at almost all of the tests.
10 pro vs. icreap 13. Half/half.
dladzusually was the other way arround. 10 pro Os ported to 9 pro.

No I know, the performance and battery is great.
But there's a few things annoying me.
I hope a few good custom ROMs come out but honestly I'm really not sure that'll happen.. I have a month so will see I guess.
