Help, please ....
if your rom has framework that supports the button you can add it into the quicksettings layout manually using my tutorial on modding system apps and ui
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2362717

Please tell me if I have the gist of it

To mod a ROM, there are a couple ways to go about it.
1. If all you want to do is replace an icon with one from another ROM, THEME or other MOD and the icons are the same size, you can simply replace them in the framework-res or SystemUI apk.
2. if you want to change something like color, text, clock centering or use custom made icons, you have to decomple the framework-res or SystemUI apk, add the icons (if that is what you are changeing) and update the .xml file, then recompile and zipalign and or sign.
Is that about right?

[Q] [help need]How to change battery icon in cm11

I'm using cm11 on my xperia m , trying to change status bar icons . I successfully changed wifi, signal, bluetooth icons by editting SystemUI.apk
. Now i want to change my battery icons, I'd found some battery icons in framework-res.apk, I recompiled & singned the framework-res.apk after replacing those battery icons.I created a flashable zip and flashed with that zip using CWM.But the changes made are not reflected . The battery icons wasn't changed .
I think the cm11 battery icons files are not kept in framework-res.apk, settings.apk & SystemUI.apk. help me to locate n change those battery icons
With a quick search i found this, give it a look, maybe you want to investigate it further.
