Looking for the coolest rom to 7105 - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

What do you recommend rom with additions music for n7105 LTE? Preferably one who uploads the through CWM or TWRP. such that it does not bootloop. I'm sorry if this is not the forum but it relates to the 7105 rom. I mean rom based on 4.1.2 I'm currently using WanamLite but is too poor

imo, most of the 4.2.2 ROM are pretty cool. i guess it's all depends on which one you like. flashing rom is part and parcel is it not?
i'm using carbon t0lte 1.7 release and loving it (personally).

Can somebody post the noob video?

There are only 3 other custom 4.1.2 stock roms. Moon rom, hashecks and deadman 12. They all have lots of cool features. Deadmans has the acid audio mod but hascheck and moonrom have ui switcher giving you tablet phamphlet or phone mode. Most custom kernels have audio mods so recommend changing your kernel too.

This should have gone in Q & A section.
I personally am using wanamlite and have no problems with it. Its a close to stock rom. What you need to be doing is looking and reading through the individual roms that are posted and it will tell you whats added into them or compatible mods tweaks. All the best in your search for a tidy rom.

Can I just ask, does "t0lte" cover the international (i.e: UK) Note 2 LTE? I'm still not sure and I'd like to give Carbon a try.
Thanks a lot,

Try uxylon. If you like customization. A lot of futures.
I used for couple of days and do not see bugs so far http://rootzwiki.com/topic/40138-rom422-jdq39e715-official-uxylon-beta/
Also, you can try jellybam http://get.jellybam.com/

Which custom rom support S-PEN feature?

Basically, any rom that has touchwiz, which is the creation of Samsung, will have S-pen features.
No version of CM has these features, although you can still use the S-Pen for plain touch. Works very well with Swiftkey Flow for example.
Also, you can find alternatives to the S-Pen apps like note and the like in the Play Store.
You have to choose between CM or Samsung roms, or you can get a Samsung rom that looks like CM. They all exist here in the N7100 forum.
Happy flashing!
Any 4.1.2 ROMS (which are touchwiz based) should support all Samsung stuff.

Heres a rom
Try dn4 or dn3 rom.
They are good and I had been using it for quite a long time and its stable. Great rom.
Dn4 is for n7100 and n7105
Dn3 is for n7105
I had tried Dn4 but I had problem with the carrier so I had used Dn3. If you want to avoid troubles, backup first then install it.
Google Dn4 or Dn3 to find the rom. I cant paste links currently

Thirsty for a Google Edition S 3.

Am I the only one that's thirsty for a Google Edition S 3?
Anybody think it would be actually possible to port a 4.2.2 (Google Edition S 4) ROM to our S3?
There both based on 4.2.2, just a thought! I flashed the Google Edition S 4 ROM and it said optimizing xx/88 apps so some things have to be compatible with our ROM!

It's not possible because the TW Kernel source is not available. Therefore, the devs cannot create a working kernel to support 4.2.2 TW on our phone (or 4.3 for that matter).
Isn't the "Google Edition" just a complied AOSP build for said device? You could just built it for the d2tmo from the sources.
EDIT: I was thinking of the Nexus series devices, I believe that they are straight AOSP.

It's Touchwiz with Touchwiz removed, only a small piece of TW is in it, rest is AOSP.

I'm curious how it is that we have to many custom 4.2.2 rom for the Hercules, yet the graphics driver is not supported?? Did Cyanogen and other rom developers somehow find a way to port the old Qualcomm drivers to other versions of android? Or are we just using the previous 4.1.2 drivers somehow. Either way the statement that the update is somehow incompatible with our device is purely garbage. Truth be told, it is simply a way to sell more devices, at least it is for those who are not willing to flash custom ROMs. For the rest of us there is 4.3 on a device that began as a gingerbread device, which is awesome. Now bring on the KitKat, because I'm sure our device can rock some 4.4 just as well.

I've always thought MIUI makes Android look just like IOS. TW looks cheesy enough as is without any help.
And what's with the last 10 Samsung devices, all the wallpapers are the same flowers. Come on Sammy, Men buy these phones too.
If you would like to actually keep up with the latest MIUI news. You can bookmark this site http://en.miui.com/thread-4717-1-1.html
The only issue that I can see, is that no MIUI ROMs are using 4.3 at all. The latest is 4.2.2. Even using CM as a base, I think you'd have to use 4.2.2 (CM 10.1). I could be wrong, and porting is way over my head. I wonder if bmarko82 from the GS4 forum could help out. I'd give up the camera and WiFi calling for MIUI on the Note 3.
I'm super excited as well. but seeing that miui up to android 4.2.2 then i guess that's why we have wait because the bite 3 is running 4.3. they're loyal I'm sure we're gonna get it soon enough!

First off, that link is to AOSP KK for MIPhones, not MIUI V6. MIUI V6 is not officially out. The Nexus 7 has a beta out. Someone has ported that to the Nexus 5. I have a copy and have been looking make some time to try to port to us. But my personal life is real busy. Just to let you know that I have done some MIUI work on the D2VZW until I got busy with life.

Personally I have never liked MIUI always looked at it as cheezy and when I gave it a try on my evo 3d then note 2 again. I remember why I left. Don't matter how many themes it has the UI is just ugly to me. Every one to their own preference but Google and TW are my favorite indefinitely

[Q] Any stock android ROMS for T999?

Hey guys, so recently I dropped and cracked my Nexus 4 and the digitizer stopper responding, and I was forced to sell it on ebay. I love the Nexus experience, and every phone I've owned to this date (Nexus or not) has run a stock Android ROM. So I was just offered a good price for a tmobile Galaxy S3 and I was wondering if there are and stock 4.3 ROMs for the d2tmo. The newest supernexus rom (v3.0) is not supported by the d2tmo, but is by the galaxy s2 i9100 which I am now considering because of that. I was wondering if anyone could point me to a ROM that provides an almost nexus experience for the US versions of the Galaxy S3. I have searched for hours and haven't found anything yet. Cheers!

Thanks for the recommendation, I came across that ROM when I was searching earlier. Does anyone know why there haven't been many attempts at an AOSP stock ROM for this specific version of the Galaxy S3? Is it just an unpopular concept or is the hardware of the device difficult to develop on?

As far as I know they're both mostly AOSP. I could be wrong though.

Oh well, thanks for the help!
Be warned though, from what I understand the 4.3 roms are still buggy and some say should still be labeled as betas.

Is this only for the US variants of the GS3? Because besides liquidsmooth and vanir and a few others I haven't found many 4.3 ROMs anyways.

No idea, I don't keep up with the international model because most info you find for it is irrelevant to ours. You'll just have to read through their threads for answers about their models.

I've been using LiquidSmooth 2.10 for 2 weeks without as much as a hiccup.

Cheers!

I'd say start with Galaxy S3 Resource Bible. Practically all the roms are listed there with a short summary or review.
There are 4 variations of this device in US. One for each carrier. T-Mo has a SGH-T999L as well as T999N. Those 2 have different radio antenna but rest the same. So if you check for roms on the 4 carriers sub forums, you will se plenty roms.
A lot of developers have made the roms for ATT Version SGH-I747. People realized it works just fine for T-Mo version. So these are called ATT/TMO roms. To my knowledge Slim, Illusion, Pacman and Liquid offer version 4.3 All of these are AOSP 'ish. I personally used to use Liquid but after a lot of shopping around, moved to Slim Rom. I am told KitKat version of Slim, the SlimKat is around the corner. Their current 4.3 version has been rock solid and is out for quiet some time. If you liked the Nexus experience, you will like Slim equally.
