[Q] Why does only CM ROMS require activation? - Verizon Droid Incredible 2

Hi everyone,
I'm not sure if this question has been answered before. I did search through all the forums and couldn't find any threads.
My problem is i have a Verizon Droid Incredible 2 which is unlocked (No SIM Lock) and works fine with stock ROM's or most Custom ROM's.
But when i install any version of CM i get the Activate your phone screen and i cannot connect to my local GSM network (No Calls, No Data) I can bypass the activation screen and use only WiFi.
Can anyone tell me why this only happens with cyanogenmod based ROMS and not with any other ROM?
Thanks.

[Q] Galaxy S3 SGH-I747 wifi problem

I am new with rooting and modifying my phone.
I first root the phone, then install AOKP Task650 (Android 4.2.2) Kernel 3.4.49-Underwear and Version is "d2att (4.2.2 JDQ39) Build 6.24.2013
after that i install rom manager, google apps, and everything is working perfectly EXCEPT wifi.
it is very weird cause wifi Turn On/Off button is nor clicklable; it is there, but when i turn on it is transparent grey and after couple seconds, it become solid grey.
I searched and find that if i replace /system/bin "wpa_supplicant" with one on other sites, it might work, and it is not working?
I looked everywhere, either i am stupid and dont know how to find or there is a specific things to look; if you guys can help me it will be great.
THANKS IN ADVANCE
Ok first of all, you're not in the right forum. This is for the Sprint S3, not Verizon.
Second of all, why are you flashing a rom made for the AT&T variant? That's why you're losing wifi, nothing to do with the rom itself.
Even though they are the same phone, there are differences between the carrier variants, so go find your device's forum and stick to flashing roms posted there.
EDIT: Nvm, that is the d2att. You should still post in your own forums though.
Please use the correct forum. You have a Verizon phone, you tried to flash an ATT rom and you posted in the Sprint forums. Try here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=37038544

S3 Near STOCK?

PLEASE READ BEELOW... NEEDING SUGGESTIONS...
Someone installed CSROM on my wife's phone about 1.5 years ago (I don't know what version it is but when I do the 3 button restart I go into Team Win Recover Project v. 2.5.0.0) ... Obviously I know VERY little about what I'm doing - but I've rooted and installed a few roms in the past).
ANYHOW, the phone is the S3 for T-Mobile. I was on Solavei but am switching to ATT. To do this I wanted to switch back to stock - removed the ROM she was using ... but... at stock the phone asks for the SIM NETWORK UNLOCK CODE - which I don't have - and - T-Mobile won't give me... so... it seems I can't return to stock and be unlocked easily (the firmware is not the 4.1.1 or I could it seems, but I'm on 4.1.2 so it won't let me).
SO - the QUESTION.
Is there a ROM that is basically the same as STOCK that I could load up for her that is very stable? OR - what is a good ROM I can install that will let me add her to my ATT account and bypass the SIM LOCK roadblock? (Links to such appreciated if possible)...

Best rom thread is closed.
Try them all, test them all. Plenty offered here in the development sections.

CM11 Global Carrier?

Ok I don't know why but I always tend to find my fixes just minutes after asking...
For those wondering how to enable Global Carrier/ or GSM on the CyanogenMod 11 (KitKat) Go into Settings>>More(under wireless & networks)>>Mobile Networks>>Network Operators>> Automatic
This should switch your phone to Global carrier support.
Hey guys,
I just got done installing the CM11 ROM onto my verizon HTC One, and I was wondering if there is a way to get the global carrier support.
I've been using my phone with T-Mobile on Stock jelly bean/ htc sense, and the option was always there to switch between global and CDMA.
I can't call or send messages, and I would really like to get that going as soon as possible.
So is there a way I can flash global support onto it? Or at least t-mobile?

Hmmm, what (customized) Rom version are you using? I still have two DI2 - retired from CDMA duties but running GSM on Sense-based GB ROM and they are working nicely for our needs. One is on T-Mo USA network and the other is on AT&T network.
Have you tried a different GSM ROM at all? Some of the newer 4.x ROM are nice & cool but not ready as a daily, IMO.

Actually i'm using Pac-Rom 4.2.2 from chilly, the thread says that 4.2.2 are suitable for daily use, the phone is working nice but i dont have signal bars (i can recieve and make calls, send and recieve messeges) i tried some patch and other GSM tweaks, using the Stock (or any Stock Based Rom) is working completely fine but i cant stand Sense even the 4.0.4 leaked Rom works fine i haven´t tried another ICS Rom.
another detail using the *#*#4636#*#* menu the radio turns on and off if i try to set the APN.
thread of the Rom. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2049902
Both VZW and HTC dropped the balls in supporting the Incredible 2, leaving it behind the times in GingerBread land, and some of the most active & best XDA-developers have since moved onto other devices for their primary daily use.
We are no longer on VZW or CDMA and switched to Nexus 5's running latest KitKat - but, since we still got two DI2 in relatively near new conditions, I continue to play around with them with GSM carriers.
There are a few stable & solid 4.x custom/ported rom that run nicely on DI2 and they are a good match for GSM services - the newest ones released recently/this month are in alpha/beta stages and not solid/stable enough. If you are having issues with yours, I suggest switching to & trying a different one instead - there's nothing wrong with Sense Rom and if it works, that's all that matter for me.
Try this one, works for me - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2291476

Not that I know of & I certainly don't recall discussions about it, way ahead of its time or arrival then in 2011-2012. Maybe the Jelly Bean ones could - to play with Xposed, I run back to our Nexus 5 and they are great for customization on our custom Rom.

Pervasive Problem across CM ROMS

I am currently running PAC RC3 for the Verizon GS4 (JFLTEVZW) running K-toonez kernel and the VRUAMDK firmware (Never updated).
My problem is that since CM has switched to unified builds for the GS4, I, a Verizon customer, keep getting MetroPCS and Sprint APNs in Hangouts, preventing me from sending or receiving MMS messages. This has happened with CM11 Milestones, PAC builds, and other CM-core ROMs I've flashed in the last four months or so. Dirty Unicorns runs like hell on my phone, but at least it gives me proper Verizon connection info.
I've tried manually changing and editing the APN info but they don't save, ever. So, i am kind of lost.
Does anyone know what the fix is? I've googled all over the place and I cannot find what I am looking for.
Thanks for the help folks, I appreciate it.
hello good I have a Hyundai Eagle octa which had a problem unistaller something the rom and not the camera connects more can not find the rom even a recovery of this cell someone could help me I have done all
