Gona give it a quick test run. Looks good so far waiting on TiBu right now then I really give it a go. Have had real good luck with Grim but......
My name is Dave ( hi Dave ) and I am a flash junkie.

You devs need to slow down!...way too many ROM options now:highfive:

Love the theme. I flashed this and my only problem is that my external SD did not mount at all, actually I think internal as well. I had to flash back because of it. Any suggestions??

Iam not having any issues with sdcard(internal or external).
Its 4.2.2, so the files will be on /0 directory.
Can anyone confirm keyboard dock is working or not ?

It works but has the same missing shortcut keys as other ROMs. Settings, screenshot, mouse disable/enable, bluetooth, WiFi shortcuts don't work.
And both sdcards work fine for me.

Oh my God... Thank you so much for porting this! I've been dying to get this on my tablet because its the only thing I run on my GS3.
I just now saw this, and its too late tonight, but I'll be happily flashing this tomorrow. If people reading this haven't tried Slim before, you need to give it a go. IMO they are the biggest innovators (close to CM and AKOP), the most stable, and best all around AOSP ROM.
Thanks again, you just made my night.

Hallelujah :good:
I've been waiting and hoping for a long time. Thank you!!

At least Paranoid ROM, which is not based on the ASUS ROM, has a full working keyboard.
Maybe it would be an idea to investigate how they managed this!?

I am telling you I cannot get my Windows 8 laptop to recognize the Slim Rom, it is fine on Cytogenisys.... Any suggestions?

Is anybody enjoying the ROM ?
Judging by the comments it seems issues only
Give ur feedback , +tve or -tve.
Lot of hard work has gone into bringing out this ROM for you guys.
Judging by no. of downloads there's a lot of interest.
Yet to receive any feedback other than few keys on keyboard dock not working, which is already in bugs list.

Maybe development is hidden by default? If you go into about phone and keep hitting build number several times, does it appear?

Hmm... not really sure, I havn't experienced that...yet... did you try to flash again? maybe something went wrong..
I've had the phone freeze on me once during the initial google setup/signin on liquid, rebooting didn't result in bootloops though. There is still a bug causing the phone to lockup(ususally from what i've seen when screen is off and a text comes in) but it is not consistant, with all of my roms... Hopefully be putting more time into that soon.
anyways, hopefully a reflash will sort you out....
I know chad had been looking into that same sod issue, I'm pretty sure he sorted it out in CM.

nice, i havn't been keeping up on what's been going on, i'll pick his brain about in a while, see if he's got suggestions/solution
I'll try fresh install after phone charges also I was running liquid and after about a week with no problems all of a sudden my phone when I got to about 58% battery would soft brick and I'd have to plug it in to wall charger for about 45 mins before I could boot into recovery again ... Again don't know if that's something I did or something you may know about other than those two bugs your work is great running AOKP right now really love it but this ROM looks very cool hope I can get it to work thanks again

To be honest, since i started building, i've not run a rom that long. I havn't seen/heard of that issue yet, hopefully not a reoccuring thing amongst people.
I personally run aokp as my daily, generally only make sure liquid and xylon boot and major functions are working before i switch back to aokp. Been an aokp fan since it was first put out.
Let me know if you see something like this again(on any rom, since they all use the same kernel and VERY similar device/vendor) and i'll look into it more at that point, for now chalking it up to an abnormality for time being....
I just had this happen on your AOKP build, it happened right after I got a notification sod...which is why I was trying to get another kernel building in AOKP using your guide.

Have you tried XYLON from this links:
http://main.develoid.com:82/lg/Optimus G/CustomRom/
It's a port from Nexus 4 for E975.
The ROM is from end of June, and as far I remember the only issue was BT calls.

Yes did tried. Im using SlimBean from this Cloud as daily driver. All this ports from this cloud using CM as base. That means you will never feel the real speed of xylon or paranoid or what else, only the look and functions. Don't understand me wrong im very thankfull for these ports. This Xylon here is build from source and you really feel the difference in speed and you can use the best kernel we have for it (smoocha).

[ROM][PORT]FlymeOS 1.0.5 I9000 STABLE by UnlimitedRom [Updated]

Hello everyone, this is kevinrus123.
After a lot of tweaking and work i sucessfully ported FlymeOS (aka MeizuOS) to our I9000!
After all i can't say it is a port , because i tweaked very much and i think i could say it is my rom
Now it is ready to get from ALPHA version to STABLE version - yeah a stable version !
You will really like this rom , it got such a nice and smooth UI and the Apps will start really fast ; Battery life is also very good.
If someone want to make a review on Youtube , i would be really happy.
There are only two little bugs:
-Network settings can't open - causes force close
-A litte graphical glitch in Lockscreen
All in all it is a stable version and ready for daily use.
Android version is 4.0.4 ICS , it runs fast like hell!
Screenshots are attached , the ROM looks unbelivable good and is blazing fast , even faster than Jelly Bean!
Please don't flash GAPPS for ICS , because there is already a PlayStore in the rom.
Changelog:
Added new Browser - fully working
Meizu Email Client tweaked - fully working
Much faster connection to network and 3G
BLN Buttons - enable or disable + Vibration on press
Framework tweaked
Added Youtube.apk
Fixed the bug with the Contact Sync from Google Account
Fixed problem with Toogles in Notification Bar
Fixed the problem with "End Call"
Speed and Battery Tweak
Updateted Superuser.apk from PlayStore
much more :good:
Things that are not work:
- Network settings
Special Thanks
cixty - for the amazing boot animation and the logo - he is a pro!
If you like this rom and want some more updates of it , please consider to donate to me via PayPal : office[at]drusnac.com Please click here to donate... Probably you know how hard such work is , and a donation would be really fine

Isn't it a beautiful rom , eh?
After someone asked me where you can find the USB-Debugging mode: Go to Settings-»Accessibility-»Developer options->USB-Debugging
DOWNLOAD LINK
Click here to download that nice rom...
How to install it:
-1.Wipe data
-2.Wipe cache
-3.Wipe Dalvik
-4.choose zip from sd card
-5.choose the downloaded .zip
(You probably get now in a bootloop , take out the battery , go to recovery again and choose zip to install)
-6.reboot system
-7.Enjoy!
If you got any questions please PN me ; i hope you like my really hard work

Flashed cm9 latest nightly. After this flashed flymeos. Despite having some errors with network settings and music player. Both restarted once. Music player does not have control for headphones. Still looks promising. What cm kernel it should be on?
Yeah, I also have problems with music player - when I try to add a folder with MP3s an error appears. Also in lockscreen those 3 icons dial, sms, unlock are hidden under the bottom border of screen. I see only top edge of icons - also all three only unlocks the screen. No shortcut to dial or sms It is very fast, I must say! Hope you will fix those problems in next update, because it is worth waiting
EDIT: wow, I restarted my phone and WiFi is still switching ON/OFF After another restart it is OK, but that was strange
Awsome design, verry nice rom but still have some bug's.
If you can resolve them, will be the best looking rom.
Another bug; volume cannot be changed when headphones are attached

Been running this since Alpha 3. It has been running great! I currently have it paired with Fancy Kernel R37-5 and it has been great.
Sweet!! With Franco r390 this is boss. Only complaint is low notification sound and it appears my vibrate isn't working. I know lore sound is a nexus thing.. But even cm appears louder... Any thing I can do to remedy this?

Try another Kernel. I don't have either of those issues running Fancy. My notification sound is no different than 4.2.2 and my vibrate notifications def. work.
Wiped, Formatted /System/ Clean Flash/ Flashed GAPPS. Working great so far.
I LOVE the look of increased resolution with the dark inverts. It looks so damn clean! +++
Ran into a few issues with updating google apps. Had to go into the SlimCenter to manually delete a few of them, REBOOT, then was able to redownload from the market.

You didn't run into issues it's normal that this happened.
You won't be able to update the Gapps if you use our gapps.
Because the of the feature to invert them.
However you can use the AROMA addon and then you'll be able to choose between the modified or the original gapps.
Here's the new playstore 4.3.10 to go with are nice new

I LOVE the look of increased resolution with the dark inverts. It looks so damn clean! +++
Ran into a few issues with updating google apps. Had to go into the SlimCenter to manually delete a few of them, REBOOT, then was able to redownload from the market.
+1,
Vibration and notification sounds are fine with Golden Kernel here.
For the life of me i can't figure out where to make changes to the notification LED

Notification LED is under Settings-> Display->Notification Light .. You'll find it all there.

Will other gapps work on this? The only ones I see on slims site are for 4.2 and I've heard issues other roms have had using 4.2 gapps on 4.3 roms and they have 4.3 gapps made up for them

Maybe a kernel issue or a bad download? Make sure to check the md5 when you download roms.
I flashed from Baldwin 4.3 and went through the following steps:
1. Run Revolution Galaxy Nexus Superwipe zip
2. Install slim
3. Install gapps etc
4. Odex the rom
5. Clear cache/dalvik
6. Reboot
No issues at all

Just in case he decides to do the same thing as you there should be one more step before odex (which is optional anyway), always get all your customizing done BEFORE you odex since you might not be able to change things afterwards
Just installed this, very impressed with all the features in it already. Thank you!!!
I'm having one issue though I can't get LCD density over 245. Anyone else???
Edit: never mind, changed to 480 and then back down to 320 and it worked.

I've been away at a destination wedding and just saw this and will flash tomorrow. Thanks for posting this. FWIW, Slim 4.3 on my GS3 is already better in performance and battery than 4.2.2, so I can't wait for this.
How can I set the browser to always be in desktop mode?

With stock browser, its not possible. Each time you need to select the desktop version by clicking okn 3dot menu.
If you use 3rd party browsers, its possible. For ex- Opera

"DONT BLAME me if anything goes wrong with the device after flashing this ROM..."
then I WONT FLASH it. No actual screenshots of the rom, only some from a mobile phone version, come on man, you can do better than this
actually there is a screenshot of a nexus 7. which is pretty much not a mobile phone.
Why should he post screenshots of slimbean rom running on a tf300t? it looks almost the same on every single device.
he used the official slimbean banner.
I don't see your point at all.

I will only say this ::
If you decide whether to flash a rom by checking the disclaimer portion, then iam afraid you have registered in the wrong forum buddy.
As per my understanding, XDA is a forum for devs and those "users" who are willing to learn and share help the devs with their bug reports , share ideas etc.
You should remain with stock that your manufacturer stick it up to you.
Peace.

YES, you are correct. The link is not working.
Below is the new link for gapps but its for beta3
http://slimroms.net/index.php/downloads/dlsearch/viewdownload/908-addons4-3/4972-slim-minimal-gapps-4-3-build-beta-3
You can use any 4.3 gapps infact, the only benefit of slim gapps is that you get TRDS with those.

PA GApps won't flash
PA GApps flashing fails. It says it's for the P6 and not for the Mate. Can you repost the PA GApps for the Mate. If not will any KitKat GApps work?
Can't believe this is a Beta. Only the first day running on this ROM, so far it's GREAT!!! Not experiencing any lag. Its much faster than any other ROM I've tried and I've been through them all.
Really loving it.

Have you tried the official Mate KitKat rom? How does it compare?
Testing from yesterday, I found this bugs:
-when network connected it never shows H+ always H
-often soft reboots
-when Volumes are set to 0 if you take a photo or screenshot the shutter sound is there(this bug is present with all custom KitKat ROMs except for Emui3.
Thanks for the great work!
Keep up it up

Yes I did try the official KitKat, it's a memory hog. My Mate slows right down takes long to load apps and when you have multiple apps open they sometimes reload and self close. I loved the functionality of the new official ROM and also the one with Kang VIP, but truth is my Mate struggled with those ROMs. At times it was quite frustrating, waiting for keyboard to come up, taking pictures and having the camera self close in the middle of it, opening FB and waiting forever for it to load only to have it self close after.
I was really happy to see this ROM because I was trying to go back to an older ROM after being frustrated by B321.
I don't know how they did it but this ROM manages the use of the Mate's 1 gig memory very well so there are no lags or any of the things I mentioned above.

After a few days of testing this ROM feels very nice. I use the PA Nano Gapps package, Sound works, the only problem i have is that i lose the Internet conmection when im on wifi. It stays connected to the wifi, but i have no imternet connection. I had this problem with other Roms too.
Is there a possibility to change the Position oft the home or back button? I cant find this feature.
Excellent rom,;
No bug, no laggy; soung & memory working well....
GPS not working well
Works nice and fluently!
does anybody know where i can find the settings to modify the quicksettings?
what do you with quick settings ?

Well I figured out that if you tap the shortcut to bring up all quick setting (the 4 squares top left) then tap and hold on the quick settings icon you want to move it will get small. At this point you can move it to where ever you want to in the quick settings.

SD writable
Hello guys,
I can't find an option to set the picture save directory on the SD card, i tried on both default and google camera and nothing. Do you know where is this option? I don't know if this is related to famous KIT KAT not letting APPS to access SD card, i hope not. Also i installed a fix through play store but nothing happens.
Thanks for your help.
My Phone crashed!!!
Been running this ROM for quite a while now (I lost track), this morning though I started getting FC on everything. The notifications just kept on popping up. My only option was to do a full wipe and start over. I have no clue what lead to this but I love this ROM so I'm going to try again with it.
