Sprint/GS3 can't update or download apps from store.
And I get this message every time. Please help?
Use descriptive titles. "Help" doesn't say anything about your problem.

Clear app cache in application manager..then restart your phone.

TELL US MORE ABOUT YOUR PROBLEM! Provide sys info, logcats, ROM ver, kernel ver, etc!!!!!! (Sorry, this required excessive use of exclamation marks)

Use the correct forum! We no do Sprint shiz here!
Try using WiFi, if using 3G/4G. If using 3G/4G, try using WiFi. Tell us if it helped so we can bash our heads against other random things!

I understand that this is the wrong forum and I tried to open and place it there kept getting sever error so I placed it here. No head bashing needed completely stock sprint no computer not rooted. Thanks for the help just gonna replace the thing.

Oh.. Thank you Stylez. I'm aware that I sure as hell should have used the search function to make things easier for the moderators, and I'm sorry that I was unable to overcome my haste. Please understand that I felt this was very urgent because none of my phones (Omnia; Wing; Dash) were picking up the computer's connection, and I didn't think the problem was my computer. I did a complete system restore, so that might have been the culprit. Anyway, things are working perfectly now, and I've finally been able to try the new Windows Live! Thank you guys. I'm glad i can always get good help here.

Was'nt meaning to sound like an ass and the search function is an extremely efficient way to get valuable information, i understand your haste and panic as all of us who use these forums see this happen on a daily occurance generally with Help at the front of post.

Hi, I just finished flashing NFSFAN's 1.05 Alltel ROM and hoping it would help this problem,... it has not.
constantly updating weather [flashing updating 1/1] over 5 minutes of doing this
I have tried searching many forums and not found any help.
I am currently connecting by USB for internet access, have not activated my phone yet,
...trying to work out all the bugs before I have to do the swap and possibly loose having a working phone

Hey everyone, Had a quick search of the forum and cant find anything similar to what my problem is..
After flashing and installing cm7 I was suprised to see that I had no market/market had not installed.
I downloaded an android market app, however when I go to open it it says "You must add an account to the device to continue. Do you want to add one now?"
If I press yes, it goes no where and market closes.
However in settings I have had a look at adding an Account to the phone through Accounts/Sync..
When I do this, It asks for my email address and password which I enter..
After entering the details, It takes me to a "server settings" page which is already filled out for me, but when I press next, I get "setup could not finish, unable to open connection to server"
Can anybody please help me figure this out!? Would be much appreciated!

Well to me its obvious you DIDN'T as there's plenty of people had the same problem as you, myself included when I first jumped in with two feet and flashed cm7 without even reading what I was doing! Only difference is it took me about 30 seconds to figure out that I needed to flash Google apps and I don't believe for one second that you searched anywhere before posting this so I'll let you make up the time by finding out how to do that yourself.

As for you scratch.. I have no problem with you "leaving me to do it" as I know exactly what to do now. Just because I couldn't find anything on it or typed in the wrong search keywords does not mean you have to come across stuck up. I'm not a noob, I don't need people to show me how to do things. I just missed a step in the process.
Sorry mate just p's me off answering the same questions repeatedly, especially when its been asked thousands of times in the cm7 thread and here.
A little tip I've learnt for searching is on Google type what you're looking for (obviously) and add xda and or wildfire if its something specific to this phone.

For the past few days, Ive been getting issues whenever I try to post threads/messages or reply to them. I tried both Quick Reply & Advanced Reply same story. Further tested with changing the theme from XDA 2013 - 1024 to XDA Classic and also tried switching browser from Chrome to IE10 and still same issue Basically, when I click submit, the loading of page seems to progress forever till the error message comes saying Server sent no reply data Its been bugging me for days and its annoying as hell

I might have issue posting to a specific thread for hours but I can post in other threads quite easily. After a while, I will be able to post again to the thread which I previously had issues.
I dont think I've made any changes my side and after trying 2 different browsers as well as different themes, I think its a problem on the Server itself

Because you don't have 10 posts.. so you don't have permission to post in development section threads.. if you got problems in that section.. then its common.. if you got problems while replying in other section then contact mods.. see link in above posts .. I think its just 10 post rule you missed..

Hmmmm...this is strange. Apologies for no one having tried to help sooner. I'll see what we can do
Thanks for the albeit delayed feedback just in case it helps, I noticed that it depends in some way on the message content or the title. If I start a new page and retype (not copy paste) the same thing, it won't work sometimes changing the title helps and other times, the message itself... In the case of posts, if I can't post a certain message, copy pasting and then adding it via a quick edit works but if it doesn't, then same issue will show in normal reply.. I confirmed that its browser and platform independent and also, I didn't accidentally add any Unicode characters

I have't heard this error reported elsewhere, it sounds like a network issue possibly.
Have you tried on another connection?
I considered the possibility but I'm mostly at college and only one ISP here plus it's not exactly reproducible so I couldn't find out about that if it's a network issue, any idea why it occurs ? I only see this issue on xda,ie, I can read posts and all, make different replies etc but specific messages won't work ( at sometimes and work fine later) and same issue with browsing in iPad so can't see why or how I'm getting this error and it's been bugging me for ages popping up for so long. Again, hope you have any advice

Sometimes loading seems to take a while but the pages are loading correctly
I've seen in the past weeks that sometimes this forum taking long before it load, maybe due to lot of traffics from readers...
Hopefully some issues from other user will be fixed!

I did do a search , as I always do b-4 posting and got zero results, If and that's a big if you actually want to be helpful ............. show me how to better search to find an answer to these new apps that the networks are just now starting to use..

I don't think he meant to be rude. Your questions could have been answered yourself just by trying to watch those networks in the browser. But, it looks like someone above already tried it... just for you. I'll click on the "thanks" for ya! I'm sure we can all figure this out for ya but the app would probably give the best experience.

I think the suggestion to search is a good one, given the question you asked. If you search on the apps in the play store, you will find a description of what the apps do. I've found that people here are happy to help, but you should always spend a couple minutes doing a google search first.

For someone fairly new to this forum.............. I truly hope your just having a bad day. As your reply turns people off that may be able to help you now or in the future. You really need to read the Forum Rules page especially #2.
With that said I don't think Bsmith0731 was trying to be smart but rather suggest that you should search this form, the internet, Google play and or YouTube. There are many network apps on Google even apps by your local ABC, CBS, FOX, PBS, HBO, Comcast,NBC and many other networks. There are in fact 100's of apps for viewing TV and network content and you would be better served to try some of them first as well as web pages to compare. Then if you have problems I'm sure many people would be more than happy to help you.
These network apps on Google Play will not damage your tablet and if you don't like them just simply uninstall them.
No I am not having a bad day....I read this forum on a daily basis because I think this is the best forum. I did a lot of searching b-4 this post and found nothing about if the apps being promoted by the networks are needed for our tablets, are they needed or just a gimic?? My first reply was a four word answer to "search".... which I had alrady done... that is why I came came to this forum to find an answer for my specfic tablet... I do not think a Senior Member sould critize me for answer to a unhelpful reply, Rule 2 works both ways.... as you can see several others did help and I now more that I did .... isnt that the purpose of this forum, to ask questions and get helpful replies??? To those that did help, I am very grateful and want to say thank you.....
just fyi....... other than special browsers that allow Adobe Flash, there is only 1 app for each of the 4 major networks......... CBS and CW {not a major network} are the only apps that work, unless to subscribe to a major carrier in major cities etc etc..... ABC FOX NBC do not work...... NBC has an android app but it says it is not compatable with 10.1 2014.......or a Galaxy S-3. maybe later??? Those are only one that I could find Internet and Google store etc. Hope this helps someone...
