KREYOS Smartwatch on Indiegogo - One (M7) Accessories

Hey guys,
I saw this smartwatch on Indiegogo the other day and I think it's pretty sweet.
http://igg.me/at/kreyos/x/2722203
Looking at the specs sheet alone its definitely something.
What do you guys think? Get it or wait till more is out?

I'm holding out for the nexus watch

do you really think Google will concentrate on a watch instead of their Google Glass? I think they just might skip the watch...

Well if that's the case, I doubt it'll be anytime soon. Seeing as there hasn't really been any leaks for a Google smartwatch so far.
Kreyos it is....for now.

I love the voice search thing. Hopefully it has full support for Google Now. A watch is useless without voice recognition.
However, I like to be able to stream music remotely to it and plug in my 3.5mm headphones. I know that's asking a bit much, but I think it's somewhat reasonable. Does anybody else think that should be a thing?
I'll wait for a Nexus watch. Google will have the most optimized watch for Android. Hopefully.

I backed this up the first day it was on indiepop. We'll see come november how it works with android phones. Even if an nexus watch does come out, I highly doubt it'll have a speaker, voice control AND be waterproof.

Ive been looking for a good smart watch for a while, have been waiting to see what comes about.
The nexus one i cant see coming out for a good 6 months + yet,
The new sony watch looks gorgeous but function is a bit boring, the greykos function looks good but i think
it looks ugly!

I thought so too at first, but I guess the design grew on me.

Haha. Smartwatch was implied, my good man. There is no way a watch can achieve its full potential if you can't enter text into it.
I've been using Casio watches for like the past 10 years. Great stuff, but I'm ready to make the switch to Smartwatches.

Just went ahead and the pledged for it.. Hopefully it's worth the 129$

Been a fair while since the last post here, but just to let anyone seeing this know Kreyos STILL haven't sent out these damn watches.
The first 5000 have been sent via ship to the US but now have apparently been stopped by the US longshoreman contract negotiations, this being the fourth delay in shipping.
I've backed out and bought a Gear Live watch instead.
Android Wear shows far more promise than Kreyos' watches and I suggest anyone that wants their watch before Smartwatches are a thing of the past should just ask for a refund and get something that can actually ship before hell freezes over.

[Q] New nexus 7 and an always on mic

I am just curious if any one think there is any chance it will have the feature that the moto x does with the always on mic.
Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk 2
I dont think this feature would be nearly as useful as on a mobile phone.
I think the mic is always on because of Google Now and the ability to do voice commands at will.
Honestly I can see the benefits but if you are too lazy to pretty a button then its pretty sad. I'd rather see a dedicated voice button then always on mic. Not only for security but also because if it is always on, then it is always processing. Seems like a waste of resources 99% of the time.
Just grab a Bluetooth headset and press the button on the unit, and it will ask for a command. At least mine does.
Plus what's next? Always on video? A Google employee moving into my house? Cats and dogs, living together?

That has to be the stupidest thing i have heard someone say.
Does your TV have a remote. What are you lazy to walk to your TV?
Its an evolution of technology. Why should i have to touch it when i could NOT touch it.
I am not huge on voice controls because if i am already touching my device i would rather just do it with my finger.
If i don't have to even look at my phone to send a message or skip a song then why would I.

Even Star Trek's communicators on their shirts have to be pressed. And Star Trek knows the future better then we do. Nuff said.
Btw I'm only half serious.
Something like Google Glass, I understand IF it was paired to YOUR VOICE. But a phone...? It doesn't need to be listening every second just to grab 1 or 2 commands. Have you ever tried using Google Now in a noisy environment. I can only see my phone grabbing all sorts of random commands and doing random acts. Pass on that.
Even Google Glass reviews show it picking up commands from others and screwing things up.

Looks like all the new droids released today got the feature so. Obviously I am not the only one that thinks it's a required step for voice commands. Also in star trek while the touched their communicators didn't they just talk to the computers?

I was under the impression the always on mic was powered by different hardware specs ie: the super low voltage battery when sleeping and a low power mic. Seems like this will be hard to implement for many devices without these hardware features.
I think always on mic is a moto thing, dealing with their custom made snapdragon aka "motorola x8 computing system", has a whole core dedicated to it, and another dedicated to gestures. I think current devices could do it fine, but battery life would suffer without motorolas software and hardware tweaks.
Of course I don't really know, that's just my guess. Guess we'll all find out next week

I have my new Nexus 7 in hand. I am pretty sure that is a moto only feature but i bet we see all the big players picking it up in the future.
The always on MIC is monitored by a dedicated low power core on the Moto X. N7 doesn't have that chip.

Meh.. Its not great, but it's okay. You would never see me wearing one. I do, however, have my eyes on the Note 3. I own the s4 currently, but have always had a slight desire for the Note. I wasn't too sure about holding that monster up to my ear, but now that I have converted myself to only using a Bluetooth, I think I might JUMP (pun intended) on it.

I already have a Samsung smart watch... I pull it out of my pocket, press the button on the top-right, and I can see what time it is. Among other things it also makes phone calls, records video, and is quite adept at just generally being pretty awesome.
I don't see the necessity for the smart watch, especially since it has to be paired with a phone. It seems cool and all, but I think it's far too limited to be used regularly, intuitively speaking, and is also a bit pricey and gimmicky, imo. Of course, I'm sure some will come along and sing of it's praises, but to that poor misguided chap, I simply reply: bellow your misguided attempts of impression to someone else, for I remain thoroughly unimpressed!
Instead of a smart watch, i would rather a Star Trek style communicator badge.
The Note 3 does look like a decent upgrade from the N7000.
One thing i would like to see in a smartphone is a digital radio receiver, rather than (or in addition to) FM. I know digital radio isn't as ubiquitous as FM - and the standard varies from place to place (DAB+ here in Australia, iirc). But it would be pretty neat, and certainly innovative.

im more interested in how the nexus 5 will turn out. The note 3 is good n all, but its too big for me, and s pen doesnt really grab me either. One of many good things i like about switching from sprint to tmobile is that switching phones is so much easier. ill have my s4 as a home phone and my nexus 5 as a going out device.
And seeing how t-mobile is dragging their feet with updating us without even giving us a reason, the nexus line is that much more appealing

You still have to take it out of your pocket anyway. All the gear does is tell you you have an email or sms, doesn't actually show who from or the message at all. Kinda makes it useless in my opinion.
I do really want a smart watch myself and the only decent one is the pebble.
JaredC01 is right. The pebble still looks like a watch plus it gets decent battery life considering the screen is always readable and doesn't shut off unlike the Galaxy Gear. I can find out who's calling me, what's playing, what message they sent me without having to use my other hand to power the screen on (unless the gear has an accelerometer trigger to turn the screen on when flicking one's wrist). Sticking with my pebble until something better arrives.

I think they're trying to finish with the pre-orders first before being sold in retail stores (if any at all or maybe only online). A lot of people backed this kickstart project and the pebble orders piled up quickly. I backed them up last year on September and I just got mine this past June. Maybe the wait is less now, or maybe not.
I ordered my Pebble watch just under a month ago and it just arrived.
It's not about not wanting to take your phone out to look at, rather it's about being a little more subtle when checking updates. I can check messages and notifications with the same amount of disruptions as a wrist flick.
If you want something cheap get a Sony watch first or second version for 50-150 on ebay if you want a wrist communicator
But with the pebble you can do some useful things like delete messages, skip through songs, and other stuff that would be useful for say running or if you are at the office and don't want to be blatant about certain things.

I know I'm a little late to the party, but I bought my pebble a month ago in best buy. It was honerstly an amazing piece of hardware and works well. I didn't need to order it or wait. I had an s4 at the time a d it didn't work well with Samsung's talkback bug but I would buy again in a heartbeat... It's a smaller size to me. I usually wear large faces like diesel or breitling but otherwise it works better than the gear.

Questions answered about the Galaxy Gear
I work for Sprint, and I was awarded the Galaxy Gear as part of the Galaxy Note 3 Advocate package. As for what the watch is capable of, it does more than what the previous posters have stated. To answer some of what was said.....it does display your text messages, and it allows you to respond via S-Voice to them. It has a media controller that allows you to skip tracks, control volume levels, and play/pause media including videos. It has a pedometer, accesses your contacts, call logs, and more. I love mine, but I'm honestly waiting for someone to figure out how to successfully pair it with the HTC One or the One Max so I can come back to my HTC. The Note 3 is awesome, but I would rather be using my HTC One with the gear.....thats my take on it.
I bought my pebble from best buy, love it. I've played with the Galaxy Gear, Samsung tried sticking way too many features into the watch and forgot that it was a watch. Get the Pebble.

Watches run exact same software, and the developers are all about Wear. Plus there's been multiple updates since I sold my Gear Live 3 weeks ago. I doubt see any reason why the experience in Wear would've changed.
But I'll report back anyways

When will Speaker be activated? !

When will the new 1.4 update drop on our Huawei watch? This is getting old. How long does it take? seriously I want the speaker to already be functional. Hate asking the watch something only for it to just show me not speak it to me like a "SMART WATCH" SHOULD!.

OK. Done!
I've went as far as registering for huawei's own community forums and as well and everyday tweeting to @huaweiDeviceUSA to get any kind of update. As of now there have been no responses but I encourage others to try as well. Ever since the one guy leaked the update it's been talked about a lot and of course with the 2 newer higher end watches being making their debut as CES already with this functionality built in it seems it must be close. I'd rather have a timeline of "sometime in X-month" then just flat out not knowing. But we all know that won't happen...
When it is released, it is released.
If it takes 2 or 3 more months ..... ok
If Android Wear is never updated again, oh well.
I can do nothing and do not care much.

Hope soon!
This is such a wanted feature. It is the 1 thing that I actually dislike about the Android Wear watches to the point where it is annoying.
Using a watch creates a distance. I leave my phone on the charger or laying around while I run around the house. Getting a call now involves me running to grab my phone. Or what I have had to do was just keep my phone on me, which defeats the purpose. Also in the summer, when I am in the pool, drinking beer on my float, if a work call comes in, it is a mad dash to flip off the float, run out of the pool, dry hands, grab phone, answer.

I agree, but you shouldnt go into the pool with your huawei watch...
Screw that! I swam with my LG G Watch all summer. I don't purposely submerge it but it can take some water. My pool is 4ft and I mostly lounge/float. But the Watch is good for 3feet for 30min. It will probably last longer and able to go deeper, but that is a safe zone. I do sometimes take it off and leave it poolside so I don't get tan lines.

Your lg watch hasjust a tiny little hole for the mic. Your huawei watch has 2 relatively big wholes for spekaer and mic. Good Luck with that buddy.
