As the title suggests, I want to get a case for my N7 2013 but I'm not sure if the old ones are a perfect fit? I assume I'll have to wait for modified cases to be released to accommodate the camera..are there any that have already been released?

The answer is no. The new Nexus 7 is thinner and slightly smaller.

You need different case for N7 2013. The size of N7 2012 version is different from N7 2013.
Just order the black color folio case on Amazon for $11 from SUPCASE.

The picture certainly is. I've asked if the updated version is going to be appropriate for new tablet (cutouts, etc) but I haven't received a response.
The title and description on Amazon for this product seems to be fit for the New N7.

I have found a couple on eBay and Amazon but I think I'll wait to "touch" them in real shops because I'm not so convinced about them :|
Portenzo cases are a bit pricey, but they're fantastic.
I've had a i-Blason TPU case on my N7-1 for over a year and like it a bunch. They have 2 folding cases ready for the N7-2 right now and I am hoping they have the TPU's soon. Quality is very good on the one I have......and inexpensive!!

On amazon, if you search Nexus 7 2013 Cases, there are several cases that are already available for shipping. There are some i-Biason and MoKo cases available. I'm not sure if this is what you mean, or if you are looking for cases available in a physical store. In that case, I have yet to see any. Until I order a case online, I am just carrying my nexus around in a generic 7" tablet sleeve.

The cases on amazon for the new Nexus 7 are pretty cheap right now. It's like than $6 bucks. Good brands too. The prices might probably go up later in the year. So what's there to lose?

If someone can find a link or such to the detailed dimensions of the N7, I'll totally make a 3D-Printed case/Stand/Car mount set.
I'm more than capable of modeling these things, I just don't have a clue how to measure the chamfer and fillets of the tablet.

I am hoping fro a back hard shell from Incipio. Already have an email out to them to see if they have any plans.
I posted on the OtterBox fb page and they said "We don't have plans for that device right now, but we'll certainly keep you posted on any changes!"
I emailed Gumdrop about a Droptech and they replied "Unfortunately, at this time we are not planning to make a case for this particular device. Please check back on our website in the near future for any new updates!"
I would like to see the case mate tough make it to the n7. I have the case on my note 2 and really like it.

How much would you be willing to spend cuz CF is not cheap. with the limited group that would buy the cases would be a minimum of $60. While it would be nice, id be just as concerned of the CF resin getting scratched as i would the device itself.

watch out for taobao. in some places the'leather' is referred to as PU leather. even so that one case that is kind of a knockoff on the noreve looks pretty close to a real buck/suede finish

Pass... it makes the N7FHD too thick.
Looks very nice. Extremely so. But note that this shop has not yet have any reviews...
Looks pretty nice, and I'm sure others will like it as much as you. Maybe it's just me, but I wouldn't want "Vintage" on the front of it. I just have no desire to make my N7 FHD, or its case, look like an antique book, diary, or whatever it's supposed to emulate by having that stamped on the front...

I've already purchased it from Amazon (along with the Neo Hybrid) -- the picture on Spigen's website was better detailed.

The case came today. I'll see what I can do. I thought I'd be using the Neo Hybrid case for everyday use but after seeing this case and watching videos of the Neo Hybrid, I think this is the case I'll be sporting on my new phone.

Weird. Thought that the dimensions of the N5 were smaller all around compared to the N4. Guess not the length.
Or I guess it's pretty much similar considering we're comparing a case, which is larger, to an actual phone.

i think the FCC dimensions were a bit off in the height.
i took the official render from Google and thew it into AutoCAD and dimensioned it out. its quite a bit taller than the N4, but width wise it is pretty similar.
but the case makes things look funny...i know for a fact the N4 is wider than the G-nex...but my G-nex fit in the case fairly snug on the sides. it was still maybe .25" taller than my G-nex.
