you should probably credit the source: androidpolice as you took all their images, writeup, and mirrors

let some of the code junkies here are diving in to this see if they can get some stuff working

Motorola took down mediafire, d-h, and mirrorcreator link. May want to remove them.

The image quality isn't going to change and half the features don't work ... Do people really want that kind of "functionality" just for a different UI ? ... Give me the stock Sense camera any day.

choice is good just because you don't like it doesn't mean someone else won't

Focal v1.0 from CyanogenMod

Focal v1.0 by CyanogenMod
Requirements: Android 4.1+
Overview: We all know that the stock camera app is a bit lackluster. So does the CyanogenMod team. In true developer spirit, they’ve decided to take matters into their own hands and create their own camera app, Focal.

Focal follows the same stock Android design language that we all know and love but adds features and tweaks to make it an above-and-beyond improvement over Google’s stock camera app. And just to let everyone know, Focal is indeed a part of the mysterious Nemesis project that the CM team has teased. In fact, Nemesis is the codename for a series of new features such as Focal that will be rolling out over the coming weeks and months.
Focal uses a new configuration with the camera set-up that fits into the stock Android look and feel, but is actually something entirely new. The shutter button now doubles as a quick toggle menu to select between camera modes. To do this, simply swipe your thumb out from the shutter button for a crescent of options including panorama, front-facing camera and even access to CyanogenMod’s answer to Photosphere, PicSphere.
To change all of your other settings, simply swipe in from the left side of the screen while you’re in portrait or from the bottom when shooting in landscape. Here you can access pretty much anything else you could want–everything from HDR to the maximum number taken during a burst shot. It’s a useful set-up that should work well for people, and it certainly outguns the annoying circle set-up in the stock Android app. If you want manually focus the shot, drag and drop the focus point. Again, an infinitely better solution than what Google offers.

Photosphere on LG G3

Hey guys, I'm planning to order the LG G3 from AT&T today but wanted to first check if the photo sphere works. I hear there are issues with the focus (maybe something related to the laser focus). Could someone with an LG G3 install the google camera and give it a try reporting on the quality of the image?
THANK YOU!
Google camera works great. Here is a few pics. Focuses in very quick too. No settings for 4k recording tho. Sorry for the boring pics lol, i would say image quility is just as good from a stock google camera app

Thanks for this. I think it looks okay but this is a partial image. Any way to take the full one? Thanks again.
So how do you view a photosphere on the G3?

Google camera and Google Photos apps are all you need (Photos comes with G+ app, not as a standalone app) I have taken some photosphere pics both in and outdoors without issues, worked well and the results were quite impressive on each. Again, stock gallery app doesn't support this feature.

Eye experience - Features

Hi All,
I am unable to find all the features promised by JRC in the 4.4.4 update. - I personally am using the ARHD 20.1.
Features as described on this page: http://www.htc.com/us/innovations/eye-experience/
Automatic selfies/voice selfies. Found in settings.
Videochat. I have not been able to try this yet.
Split capture. Select it in modes. (Lame)
Crop-me-in. - I am unable to find this option? - We can cut and paste in pictures taken with the main camera, but we could do this before.
Face-fusion. - I am unable to find this option?
Live-makeup - This is found in settings. - I however do not see any change?
Photo booth - selet it in modes. (Really lame)
They write that not all features are available on all devices... We however have the topmodel? - What are your thoughts on this camera update?
What I personally like the most the video capture butten in the main camera interface.
/Benjamin

i think face tracking and multi chat is in hangouts.. this morning i called my mom via hangouts and there was options for face tracking on the top left (maximus HD 8.0)
Experience a better way to video chat with Face Tracking. Sitting perfectly still is no longer necessary, because all you have to do is stay in frame and Face Tracking will automatically focus in on you.
From real-time screen sharing to video chats with up to 4 people, Face Tracking lets you naturally do your thing without compromising quality.
Compatible with most live video services such as Skype, Line, Hangouts, WeChat, and more.

I figured Eye Experience would be a separate update to the Gallery App in the Play Store. It says coming soon on the website, maybe they didn't roll out the graphical/ui changes yet, regardless of the settings being there or not. Crop Me In is exactly cut and paste with the Duo Camera effects stuff.
EDIT: "The HTC EYE Experience features will roll out to the following models in the coming months" IE not out yet.
Note the UI image of the icons.

Useful Apps & Ported Apk from other devices

Hi
I just started this new section so if anyone discover/find any useful, .APK, links or any type of .APK or apps which is compatible and work with Honor 7 should be posted here with screenshot and links,
I find this useful app for HD wallpaper https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wall.tumblr
Link for useful Google .APK and services http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/
Useful APK from all Developer http://www.apkmirror.com/developers/
I find this another useful app "Screen off and Lock" so you can lock your device without hardware button just by swiping middle button in upward position: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.katecca.screenofflock
CynogerMode 12.1 Browser I tried and tested working perfect and smooth on H7 : https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8rOpLrsAqrGU2lZWmxvUG1hZW8/view
More will be added soon....
EDIT 9th Oct 2015 Time 11:04 AM
I also find this cool HTC camera & Gallery app to work perfectly with Honor 7 , you need to install both app to work, don't use panorama as it crash the app and you need to reset the app to start it again, HTC gallery has really cool photo customization features, in HTC camera app there is a option to reduced sharpness so we can make a photo look less grainy
Direct Link for HTC Camera https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/htc-c.../htc-camera-7-30-581119-android-apk-download/
for HTC Gallary https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/htc-c...htc-gallery-9-22-569629-android-apk-download/
Can you find also the cyanogen keyboard apk? I looked for it so much but I didn't find anything...
Thank you!
Have a look here, is it the same one you were looking for

Lenovo P2 Camera Bug (bacon camera) and other questions about ROMs

Hello everyone, im a new user of lenovo p2 (Stock rom nougat) and im really happy with all phone features.... except for the camera.
I Like the design and features of the stock camera from p2, but i dont like its stabilization when taking a shot (if you move your hand 0,01mm your photo will be blurred). I Tried some cams apps on the playstore and the only one that gives me what i want (fast shot, simple design, few features to use sometimes, no ads, good quality) is the "Bacon camera". Its very good, but i found a bug in p2 with the screen resolution (not the photo) because of the navigation bar. I dont like the nav bar so i use fingerprint gestures and keep the bar hidden. but when i open the camera with the bar hidden (always) it add a black stripe on the screen and "flats" the image preview (when the picture is taken its ok). Im downloaded this camera yesterday and i think it wasnt bugged before (not sure), but then i downloaded a lot of cams apks and the bacon start bugging. I did hard reset today and problem persists.
Img 1 : "Flat screen"
Img 2: Opening camera with nav bar on
img 3: Removing the nav bar after img 2 (how it should be in img 1)
I dont know if its the app or my phone, if someone could download the app to test i would appreciate!
other questions:
- Will deodexed stockn allow me to turn the nav. bar of permanently? (so i could use fp gestures plus gestures from below the screen)
- There is any camera apk simple and good like the stock (with working features), but with better quality and stabilization? I dont know if its hardware o software, but when i take a picture in "CamScanner", for example, the preview quality is good, but when the shot is taken the picture become blured.....
Thanks and sorry for the long post!!
