Nexus 7 OTG and screen mirroring - Nexus 7 (2013) Q&A

My question is does the new nexus 7 support screen mirroring? I have the n64 emulator and I want to play on the big screen but the mhl adapter I had didn't work. Also my other question is does the tablet support OTG cable?

It does not support MHL. It does support Slimport and Mirracast.

MHL cables?

Do you stream any videos from your Nexus to your TV via MHL? If so, how exactly does it work? Also, what cable brands would you recommend?

So is TV out possible with the Nexus 7 either with an RCA composite output via the 3.5mm headphone socket

nexus doesnt support mass storage mode of data transfer. your best bet would be to find an app like imediashare or something similar to do across the network.
Kinda makes me regret buying it then

It's for Miracast. It different than Chromcast.
Miracast is basically wireless HDMI mirroring of the device. There are a few Miracast receivers that support android. I believe the netgear ptv3000 is the most popular.

[Q] MHL Adapter support?

I've been trying to find any reference of whether or not this tablet supports the micro USB to HMDI MHL adapter. This is used to display your tablet on any HDMI television. Has anybody tested this?
I'm looking at picking up this one:

I don't think MHL is supported. Search for a slimport adaptor. The tab 8.3 supports slimport.
Awesome, I'll pick that up instead!
