It's not possible to install ROMs from other devices unless they have been PORTED.
To install a custom ROM for the Arc S, go to the developments section, look around and try out any of the ROMs and pick 1 that suits you best.

[XS] [LB|UB] Flash Stock Kernels of JB 6.2.B.0.211 & 6.2.B.1.96 using CWM Recovery

[XS] [LB|UB] Flash Stock Kernels of JB 6.2.B.0.211 & 6.2.B.1.96 using CWM Recovery
For those who have problems with Flashtool. I downloaded the Kernels Stock in "ftf" from thread of DooMLoRD, I extracted it and I created a flashable zip. These are compatible with Locked and Unlocked Bootloader.
Install method:
1. Download the zip of Kernel you want and copy to SDCARD
2. Reboot to recovery
3. Install zip

Does not include CWM.
Sorry for my English, when I say "with" I wanted to say is "using" or "through" Recovery, at any rate, the Stock Kernels not include that, that is only in Custom Kernels.
I changed in the title "with" for "using".
Does CW recovery need a rooted mobile??? it seems like this to me...
i'm bit confused... sorry
Thank you...
my power button is broken so I need to find a way to root my phone (experia s 6.2.B.1.96) without to turn it off... (thus without using flashtool)
many thanks

That's Color OS 2.0, and as the file name suggests, it's beta. I haven't tested it myself so I am unsure if it's stable for daily use.
You should find the most current stable version in the same forum.

Thanks all.

Any estimation on how long it will be until root is available for the Z Play?

As in, is there already a recovery that works with the phone? I know the normal Moto Z just recently got a recovery made for it and was able to be rooted.
I don't know much about the development or who does the recoveries.
You can try building the recovery.
