Locky's English Playground App
Hi guys,
I have developed this app for my own Blogger blog called Locky's English Playground. It aims to promote the learning of English language and the vast knowledge it offers, key topics include cooking, food, culture, travelling, photography, technology, science, environmental protection, shark conservation and psychology.
Since I have joined XDA, I have only been writing ROM Flashing tutorials and have not been contributing much from the programming aspect. This time, after a month of self-learning, I have finally marked my first milestone by producing an app of my own.
The app is now available on Google Play, you may download it through the URL below:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lockyep.blogspot&hl=en
This app still needs quite a bit of testing as I do not own any tablets. Please let me know if you can find any problems using my app. Thank you in advance.
For more details on the rationale of this app, please visit my blog @ Locky's English Playground

Introducing a forum specific mod

Hi Artemis users,
Let me introduce myself. I'm NeoS2007, your new forum mod for the Artemis.
I've been on xda-developers for a few years now. Mostly visiting the devices I own: the Polaris, Blackstone and Nexus One. I've also participated in the Kaiser and Polaris Graphics driver team, and I've released a driverpack of my own, which hopefully helps users with their devices.
Now, I'm happy to be appointed to the Artemis' forums, since most people here are nice and very helpful to each other. If you experience any other way of approach from members, feel free to contact me through PM, or report the post by using the "!" button in the post.
Cheers,
NeoS2007.

[TO ALL APP DEVELOPERS] How make your app multilanguage - 99translations

Hi XDA Developers!
I wanna present all of you very usefull site.
With this site you can have your app in many languages very, very easy.
This is 99translations:
Code:
[URL="http://99translations.com/session/new"]http://99translations.com/session/new[/URL]

Only that you must to do, is create a project named like your app, and include all phrases from your app.
A volunteer (or with some cash, everyone can set how much want in $ for translate one word in profile)
from other countries can open your project and translate phrases to own language.
I worked (for free) with this site at "Buddycloud" project - a Symbian social app (mix of Twitter and iRC):
Code:
[URL="http://99translations.com/public_projects/show/98"]http://99translations.com/public_projects/show/98[/URL]
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Translating process is very, very easy. Translator can use a Google Translator for help:
Also project author having many, very useful tools. For example if you need one specific translation, you can choose your translator from list ("People tab")
More info for app developers you can find in "Tools" tab:
Code:

Hi everyone,
we are currently working on a new Android bucket list app and we wanted to share with you how it is going. We know there are already a few bucket list apps on Google Play, but they miss many features in our opinion, moreover they lack in social aspects. Some of the features in our app:
A discover screen to find life goals and the ability to add them to your bucket list
Upload images and write tips & experiences to any goal
Find and follow people with similar interests
An activity feed to see what goals the people you follow are achieving
The app is about 80% complete so we set up a website to show the main features to the public. If anyone is interested, you can sign up here and you'll be notified by email when the app launches. Feel free to post questions, comments and suggestions, it would help us a lot.
Thanks!

Android app looks for a designer

Good day!
I am making an Android traffic and navigation app that will show real-time traffic, user will have ability to pin some events to tell to other peraple(ex. accident, traffic jam, message, etc), comment and vote this pins. It is smth like Waze or Yandex navigator but both of them has awful design.
I tried to think and design it by myself, but it really looks horrible now) I tried to use google material design guidelines for it.
So, I am looking somebody who want to take part in project in his free time.
Some screenshots:
