I had issues with the widget showing up in the widget selection, it took awhile but eventually it was there. I dont know why it delayed, but I have it working now.

im using another toggle called notification toggles and it seems to be working but the stock pulldown also is working same time too, i'd like to get rid of the stock pulldown notifs if possible? don't like it

Would love to see the S3 notification toggles on the Nexus

I had the Galaxy S2 before my Galaxy Nexus, and one little silly thing I liked on the S2, and now seeing the S3 has improved it even better, is the cool looking notification screen toggle widgets.
I am running CM9 now, and it has the toggle widgets, but they look lame, the S series just has a better looking design, etc...I thought the Galaxy Nexus would have copied the S2's toggles and be a stock ICS feature, surprised it is not even in the phone stock. Didn't Google realize that notification toggle widgets are a must have nowadays ? A feature that should not have been left out in my opinion.
Anyways, do you think it would be possible to port over the S3 toggle system to the Nexus, or no way ?

That's what I thought, oh well. Still surprised Google did not include these cool notification toggle widgets as a stock ICS feature. I remember when I first turned on my Nexus, I was like, hey where are the toggles ? I looked in settings, and couldn't find them, LOL

Why's that? No stock version of Android has had those toggles before. Stock Android is not packed full of the same features as the "skins" or "frameworks" offer.

I know, but doesn't mean Google shouldn't have added them. They are now a pretty standard common feature on most phones, why not just add it to be a stock feature in ICS ?

What would you guys like to see in CM9

A camera app that is like, if not resembles Sense's.

yeah. i like the sense camera too. the fm radio app would be nice as well.

Keep Beats Audio from stock.
I also prefer the sense lock screen, if that's possible.
lock screen with notification bubbles available on unlock icons (i.e. texts, email, calls) which show u the number of each respective new notifications (like sense has). Also those notification bubbles available on the icons in the launcher (like sense also has, and apex launcher pro)
I was using apex launcher pro with CM9 but I miss the notification bubbles on the unlock icons that sense offers.
I really like the available weather on the lock screen. But it'd be nice if there was a weather widget available that looked just like the weather on the lock screen. I really like the look of the lockscreen weather and would like that on my home screen.
also, an option to assign a shortcut to double tapping the home key. There is an app that offers this (Home2 shortcut) but itd be nice to have this built into CM9. right now shortcuts can be assigned to long press but itd be nice to have both long press and double tap as shortcut options
A sleek minimalist design with a transparent status bar! Also lots of performance tweaks, and other various tweaks.

I would love to see a Sense camera! I also like the HTC widgets with vanilla ICS. For some reason, when I use a diferent launcher, HTC Widgets don't show in the widgets pane.
Can you also include a camera mod if there's one out by then?
Waiting for your work... patiently.
A mod to choose to place the clock in the centre of the status bar - I pulled the SystemUI.apk from SuPrimo to use with the stock ROM, and I actually think it look nice having a centred clock

Please do not add Beats! I dislike how it hovers in the notification bar whether on or off and I find in general it brings no more benefit than a simple EQ.
Personally what I would like to see most is Google Now integration. Although what I would fall in love with is CM10 .

oh, and the option to turn off haptic feed back on the lockscreen! it is a tad bit annoying.
the quite hours trick where you check "disable haptic feedback" does disable haptic feedback on the lockscreen but it also disables all notification and call vibrations even though you don't check "disable vibrations".

Lockscreen gestures!! Was in CM7, but has been removed in CM9?
I like Sense pretty much, so I would be happy not to divert too far from it. The audio-player is very nice with the possibility to add other similar apps, like the FM Radio. This way all I need is the widget on one of my screens and I have access to it all. Please keep that.
Beats is still the best preset, just make that annoying icon go away from status-bar.
HTC weather and clock are nice!
Am I right, that the MIUI dialer looks like the Sense one?
I think, that in Sense all is so well integrated, that most should be kept and adding less is more. But then, I am just a noob, what do *I* know?!
Oh, and please try to port and add the One X camera mod (no compression).

Assistive light widget

Is there any way to replace the icon for this widget, or an app that will give me a widget with a similar function (instant back light)?
The default one is a huge ugly widget and I want a smaller or customisable widget to replace it with.
Cheers
The 15 toggles mod has a button for flashlight.

Tesla Led has a delay when turning it on. Rather than using a new light app, where can I get a custom widget for the stock light app?

same thing, I just tried tesla, and it does have a delay, the stock one is perfect, it's has instant response time, I used a launcher that allowed me to resize it to 1 square, but the text and lamp icon gets all weird... If I can remove the text and keep the lamp in the middle... this widget would be perfect...
So any idea how to change the icon for that widget?
Opposite...
I actually want the S3 assistive light because it doesn't block the camera like the 1000 other flashlight apps.

Did you ever find a solution? I also wish to use stock widget for its performance, yet it is big and ugly. Basically, I want a 1x1 widget for stock light.

Just use a different launcher (I use Nova personally, but I expect many others will offer the same functionality here), and use that to either resize, or replace the icon.
Another option is to use a ROM like (the fantastic) UltimaROM that has a flash-light option on the drop-down notification area.

Hello.
How do you change the icon from Assistive Light with Nova Launcher? I also use it but when I hold the widget to change the icon, like for the other apps, the AL doesn't have the opt to change icon.
Is there any other way?
All other widgets for the AL break the camera.

I use a stock one 4.1.2 but on the Widget List, check under "Settings". It should have around 6 Widgets inside.

Kinda dumb... But. Locke screen help...

This has really gotten to me. I was kinda getting bored of the stock TouchWiz lock screen so i went out and bought WidgetLocker Pro. It serves some of my porouses but i noticed that Notifications from the stock messaging app would not appear in the lock screen. And i kinda wanna pimp out my lockscreen and status bar and all that stuff. (Minus installing a launcher) So if there are any root apps that let me customize let me know. I would like notifications to also be integrated into them...
Thanks
Wow... so much text for such a simple question...

[Q] Hide Status Bar in Lockscreen w/out Widget Locker?

I've been doing a lot of searching and it seems that the only way to hide the status bar in the lockscreen is to use widget locker. Widget locker causes more trouble than its worth when using a password/pin in my opinion. Nova Launcher allows hiding of the status bar but it doesn't apply to the lockscreen.
Is there a way that this can be achieved without using Widget Locker? Thanks in advance.
If its any help, im running CM10.1

You could probably edit the smali code. Or when i get the time i will try an idea i have that will require you to install an apk and thats it.
Thanks for the reply. I looked into editing the smali code and the process seems a bit too advanced for me. If you have time, it would be much appreciated. I know that a lot of people are looking for the same thing.
Me too... I wish in the stock launcher I can toggle the status and dock.

Havent gotten to it sorry! :/ lots of stuffs to do
A n00b's question here: will it be compatible with i9500 (Exynos)? Since I started using DashClock I too would love to hide the notification bar while on lockscreen.
Regards.
Hey guys, did a quick test with this and it is going to require a system mod. OR i can using root, disable the status bar. But you won't be able to drag it down at all or possibly receive notifications (haven't tested that) but if i mod SystemUI.apk i should be able to make it hide the status bar and still allow you to swipe down to show it again.

Hey guys, just searched google and found this thread.
Completely forgot i posted here way back when.
Got a new handset, keeping it fairly light.
Still wanna be able to hide the status bar on lock screen.
Forcing full screen on systemUI via xposed mod would effectively do it yeah?
What other screens would be affected?
curious as well

Nice idea, but didn't work... tried on keyguard as well.. nothin. Was pretty sure that was the lockscreen apk itself.. maybe not though.

I know of an xposed module that can do this, It's called
"lock Screen Widgets" works on Android Lollipop and Marshmallow. On the various tweaks that this module offers there's an option to hide the status bar in lockscreen. Like I've said, this module only hides the status bar, but it can still be pulled down.
