[app] cm10.1/10.2 [jb 4.3] focal camera (updated) - Nexus 4 Themes and Apps

CyanogenMod Team has released a brand, new focal camera with their latest CM10.2 Android 4.3 custom ROMs.
Overall, Focal camera is pretty good at 'focusing', takes rapid photos with great touchscreen options for adjusting your shots. Also, many stock AOSP ROMs don’t support manual focus for camcorder function but Focal camera does this very well, making it an ideal camera for videographers.
Since this is a separate app, it will install as an additional camera on your Android device.
Notes from the main dev
1) yes, the app is in alpha. There are many cases and many devices we didn't test so you can get FC's just by using it wrong.
2) the UI is still work in progress. It's a first glimpse of what we're targeting but there is still much more to do.
3) the camera is not laggy or sluggish. Enable HDR scene mode on your nexus 4, then blame Google.
4) we won't give any support on pre-4.2 non-cyanogenmod ROMs. Your ROM, your problem.
5) you can remove unwanted buttons in the settings to have a cleaner sidebar
NO ROOT REQUIRED.
Working ROMS:
PARANOID ANDROID
CM 10.1/10.2
JB 4.2/4.3
LATEST: https://www.copy.com/s/pjlUn/Focal.apk
Special Thanks:
CyanogenMod Team for their awesome work!
If it worked please hit thanks

Thanks, the feature is pretty awesome !

Camera 4.2 in aokp

Has anybody been able to get it working without fc after the first shot!!
I got the gallery and the camera 4.2 and everything works, including photo sphere and video but when I'm taking a picture it fc and then it says it can't connect to camera!!
Thanks for any help!!

It's pretty glitchy at this point. The keyboard seems to work great but the camera and clock always fc for me as well. I've tried the flash on several different ROMs without success.

When I use touch wiz like drew garen 's rom it works flawlessly but I can't make it work in aokp and I was hoping not to wait two weeks for the source code to be released so that it can be worked on by the aokp team

Mine used to FC after I press focus (sometimes). No fix, since its still an early build so you will have to deal with it until AOSP gets 4.2 in about 1 week or so. Also Clock would FC on me after trying to set an alarm (clearing app data didn't work).

You need to buy Tapatalk app first, then pay for unlimited picture uploading(original size). It's about 3-4$, don't remember. But I like that feature. Alternative way: you can upload tiny pictures with horrible resolution by XDA forum app, or use your laptop/desktop and picture hosting server for nice quality.

None really. Did take a little while to get used to the new interface but it's pretty snappy. Using it primarily in landscape mode. One thing that is weird is that if you were in a thread and read all the new posts, and back out to the treads section and refreshed and see that that aforementioned thread has new posts, you would still need to refresh again once you click into the thread. Hope that makes sense. Just basically I think the new posts should already be loaded instead of having to click refresh once inside the thread again.

Honestly, I invested way too much time into customizing PA 2.54 (the last 4.1 Rom by PA) just how I want it and I haven't found a reason to change it. I just don't have the time anymore unfortunately to keep up with all the amazing and rapid development that xda chefs keep putting out

Yeah it's not just the paprefs, it's everything else too. Just don't have the time to experiment too much anymore sadly. I'm happy with it till the new Nexus comes along
Nothin wrong with 4.2.1 IMO. I've actually thought about goin back because with it my Gnex got about twice the battery life than I'm getting with 4.2.2. I've tried almost every Rom and kernel too. Used to get about 7hrs screen time with my 3800mAh, now I get about 4 ever since 4.2.2. But I do like alot of the improvements tho so idk...Jus my opinion.
