He posted something earlier that he was leaving xda and wouldn't say the reason. But that it's deeper than we think and it has nothing to do with the users. He said to follow him on google+ but I couldn't find his account on his xda page.

He attacked me personally when I was trying to complement someone other than him in his thread... He then went on to delete my subsequent replies because they made him look bad... I'll miss his ROMs but certainly not him!

may have jumped the gun posting this....believe i had a misunderstanding myself. the threads are back, likely just some cleaning up to do.
that being said, i've never seem tdj post anything that spoke poorly of his character. i've 3 kids & i'm sure i wouldn't have his patience & temperament dealing with what gets directed at him around here. and i'll agree with you on one thing...i would miss his roms if they were no longer available

I'm not here to get myself in trouble and being as I am relatively new to the site I wanted to ask one question and make one comment.

Question: Is it a common practice to remove such work without notice or an explanation? I know we are all human and emotions come into play and by all means I am not questioning the actions of any mod but maybe, based on the comment above, things should be handled better in the future. Thank you for putting his stuff back up. I for one appreciate his work (amongst many others) and appreciate him standing up for what is right when we see people doing wrong. I've seen other devs insult his work (comparing roms) and not once have I seen him stoop to their levels. I for one would like to know why this happened and is anyone else treated like this? I hope there are no agendas or favortism on this board. Punish the ones who do wrong or steal, and not the hard workers. There's my rant and I know I'm not important enough to be responded to and don't expect it. Again thanks for placing his great work back on this forum

It would appear that on XDA stealing is OK but calling people out for stealing is cause for removal of your work. TDJ wouldn't have been the first one to have his work or RD status removed, have you ever wondered about posters who have a very low post/thanks count yet have a intimate knowledge of XDA and the topics on which they are posting? They are the biggest game in town so they kind of have us but they aren't the only one.
I am in no way speaking for TDJ, my words are my own. Ban me if you wish, it wouldn't surprise me.

Unfortunately there is a reason people move their work to Rootzwiki and don't deal with XDA. I make no preference on any side of any matter. I know TDJ called out a so called Dev for using his work for their ROM and they seemingly did nothing before posting but not sure what other drama came out from that. I don't think anyone here would doubt TDJ's dev abilities and if the mods keep their actions of punishing the real devs and not the kangers then XDA will become a ghost town i predict.

The people who suffer most are the end users, Devs don't have to do this and put their work here they are doing XDA a favor by doing so, it seems XDA needs a Mod overhaul . This has been the most pathetic excuse for a development section in any forum that I have ever been in and its not the DEVS 8 out of 10 times.

Is TDJ gone? Dam u xda you just keep running good devs out of here!!

It's probably best if all disputes are handled through the mods or PM. Starting a war in any devs thread is frowned upon and you know how loyal crackflashers can be. You call a dev out and the people who enjoy their work are going to rage. This is just my view on what happened.
I would have done it the same way TDJ did so I understand why it went down like it did. I'm very glad he's sticking around, he's a huge asset to our community.

Thank you for restoring TDJ's threads... and also thank you to TDJ for all of your hard work in creating some of the best ROMS on XDA. Without TDJ's work I can safely say that I wouldn't even be posting on XDA right now... keep up the great job.

That really shows the type of people that go through the forums. Once they installed their first 2 or 3 roms and kernels, and looked through 4 pages of android development, they feel they know everything. I really wish dj could leak that final Frosty rom update one day...

And all over battery life. Mine us great, but even have had bad days where battery just drained. To many factors to say its the rom. And why argue it there. I dont undersrand sone people. They just want a fight.

I agree. I was using Wicked for a long time and decided to give Frosty a try, and I loved it. I have been using it for a few weeks now and I also have great battery life with it. I will keep using it for a while. Hopefully DJ will come back.

What was the persons name that insulted DJ, I'll get 'em... I think DJ will be back, he loves this way too much, one way or another he'll be back.

I couldn't post on the original tred and I wanted to say that frosty rom is the smoothest rom of all for me with no problems at all of any kind and I tried them all. It behaves the way just I want it. Thank you Mr. Dev and god bless you.

I am saddened by what has gone down. I remember a time when post where constructive and not a pissing match. Unfortunately with more and more people come here and join the chances of this happening grows.
I know the frustration of seeing someone complain about something know to be issues or someone thinking it's a problem with the rom when no one else has issues. Just remember we where all noobs at one time or another and remember that one person that helped you out with something vs the person that flamed you for not knowing.

I'm seeing the same thing happening in other development threads, and my fear is that it's going to force the XDA mods to lock the entire site to developers only.

I was that at one point also, when the G1 came out and JesusFreke was making roms, and people had to use ADB to obtain root and be able to flash things. I learned since then and read and read and read. The problem now a days is that most don't care to read a little, or at all. Most of the questions asked in a thread are answered, or been discussed, or don't even belong in the dev section. This is extremely aggravating to the devs, or themers, when they right up a huge OP and no one uses it, and just clutters up their dev thread with useless questions and/or nonconstructive criticism. I don't blame him for quitting or locking the thread, if people feel it's at its prime, then leave it alone and don't touch it anymore. Most of the TouchWiz roms have the best version yet to come, or they came and went a while ago. Most of the mods they incorporated are flashable on your own, anyways. Thank him and respect decisions, or use one of the other 10+ TouchWiz roms.

Jesusfreke was the pioneer of modding for Android. Without him I believe that we would not be as far with android as devs, manufacturers, or even android its self.
Look at thouchwiz its self with the toggles in the notification Window. This came from cm. We the community can end up pushing for devs with true innovation to go back underground where their work is not seen in mass people, Google, or manufacturers. Then android may end up missing what could become greatness all for petty arguments. I follow one such dev in a private forum and it's a shame he was forced to by thing like this.

His name is very well known to us all as one of the BEST developers around. Not taking from other devs...but this guy is magic.
It seems XDA has pulled his RT status over a minor infraction....and now he cant post roms, updates, etc.
A petition was started on S4 forums. Go over there and say ur piece. We cant loose this guy.
Im typing this post with NO influence from anyone. I just want to help a guy out that gives us awesome roms, themes, tweaks, etc FOR FREE!!

From wut I read in the thread a dude told Evil that if he didn't apply the mods he wanted into the rom that he wouldn't donate to Evil. Evil told him hes not his rom whore and hopes he chokes. Told him he didn't need his donation

Please spend 2 seconds to google Recognized Developer XDA. It requires the developer to fill out the application and agree to the Code of Conduct. Petitioning the moderators will have a negative result on the decision of the Developer Committee that reviews the application.
Code of Conduct terms are also required for RT and RC status. All RTs and RCs were informed that if they violate the rules and CoC they will lose their title for a defined period. We have rules here for a reason and expect all title holders to set an example of how to follow those rules. Also members are warned before an infraction occurs and are well aware of the rules they are breaking. If they say otherwise they are not stating the whole truth. Just like the RT/RC/RD's Moderators are also bound by these rules and Code of Conduct. Violations of that result in moderators being removed from their position. The rules are there for a reason, to keep some semblance of order on a site with over 5 million members.

Because Infamous is too boss for XDA.

I am not certain about what happened regarding all of the Infamous threads being locked, and under what circumstances this has occurred. All I do know is that there were thousands of xda members who have downloaded Infamous ROMs, and whom were very intune with many of the threads, as the over 10,000 posts and over 1,000,000 views indicate, and now all these members, including myself, are left in a lurch, so to speak, as there will not be anymore updates, ROM participation, communication amongst the members who had a vested interest in all of the Infamous ROMs, in addition to missing out on the camaraderie, which in my opinion, was the most important feature of Infamous Development, members helping members, and gladly doing so, which xda is all about.
Just my 4 cents, for what it's worth.
I for one, will surely miss the Camaraderie, of that there's no doubt....

Yall do know he left and ASKED to have his threads locked and to be banned because he acted like a child stomping his feet crying because he lost his dev tag. Which to be quite honest, he modded stock roms and added strings to the settings of aokp for app shortcuts and renamed aokp like it was all his work.
If yall want to stomp your feet? Stomp them at Jamison for acting like a child about it and leaving on his own want.

And Because he is a Marine, and the way I've seen him handle himself in the threads and posts that I've been able to read, I'll give Jamison the benefit of the doubt.
Being a Marine and serving in the Armed Services goes a long way with me....
And being a Marine, amongst other reasons, most likely gave Jamison the fortitude to realize that all of this drama just ain't worth it, and wasn't going to sacrifice his morals and beliefs, and acquiesce to those whom he felt were not giving him a fair shake. I'm not speaking for Jamison, but this is how I feel, without knowing All the facts, but going on what I do know and have read....
I'm out too, as I'd like to see this thread stay open so that members have a little something to read regarding the closing of all these threads. Members at least deserve to know what occurred, where ever the cards may fall, but sadly that may never happen, and that's the most important issue as I see it regarding all of this.....
