If your device says bootloader unlocked allowed= yes, then I suggest you to use that tool which is explained at the previous link. I unlocked my bootloader using that. Believe me that really works!

To install fastboot drivers you have to be very fast, 2 or 3 times practice is necessary. Going to device manger install your driver so quickly then you can get your phone at fastboot mode easily. You won't get time more than 3 to 4 seconds.....!
I think, you already have fastboot drives downloaded at your PC, thanks!
If the problem again remains, please update your flashtool...! This also may be an issue.

Use this kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=42005739
This is advanced stock kernel which has pre-loaded CWM recovery, when phone reboots you will get led to yellow then press volume + & you can use working recovery!
And then flash latest 6.2.B.1.96 FW..!
But if u want rooted 1.96, don't forget to follow this tutorial...!

try and connect using fastboot http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1133650 , if you can then the bootloader is unlocked and you can't use the update service, you'll have to flash using flashtool/fastboot, they're in the same thread, but you can flash a pre-rooted img. if you can't connect to fastboot, you may have to root after every upgrade.

2.you must select xperia play as current device
3. Reboot into fastboot via ADB
4. Once booted into fastboot mode, click on select kernel to flash.

Can't unlock boot loader or flash stock

Hi there,
Has anyone got a way out of this.....
I have a rooted C1905 that I have been playing around with. I want to try CM11 but boot loader unlock fails with a "FAILED (unknown status code)" report after I send my unlock code. I then thought I'd flash back to stock using S.U.S. but that fails too saying that I have a customized rom... which I don't!!! I seem to be stuck! is there anyway to force a stock flash?
Cheers
Have you checked if your bootloader can be unlocked? Go to the dialer, type *#*#7378423#*#* then go to Service info => Configuration. In rooting status, it should say "Bootloader unlock allowed: yes", otherwise it won't work. About your flashing problem, try connecting the phone directly in flash mode before opening SUS, by turning off your phone, holding Volume Down and plugging USB cable or by flashing a FTF file through Flash Tool...
It happened to me also ,check your IMEI CODE,you need to send first 14 digits of your IMEI,

Flashed an FTF of the latest but still can't unlock the bootloader. still get "unknown Error" and it wipes my apps.
Also can't use "repair my phone" on PCC as it says I have a Customised Rom, could this be due to me trying tools like flashgordon and debloat/deoxing flashing or routing? if so how can I get back to a stock state for a UK XM so I can start again?

1. Disconnect your phone and turn it off but keep the cable attached
2. Open PCC and go to Update

Flash a ftf and start over, and confirm you've actually unlocked your BL. You clearly haven't read instructions properly either, so do that, rushing when you don't know what you're doing makes things worse.

Great!
As for your fastboot problem: After you installed flashtool, did you go into it's folder, then to the "drivers" folder, and install the fastboot driver from there? (it shows you a list of drivers available for install - I believe fastboot is near the bottom?) Note that if you're going to do this on Windows 8, you will need to disable Driver Signature Enforcement

Try flashing a kernel, make sure the Phone is connected to the computer and in fastboot mode before running any commands, reboot both if it still fails and/or try another USB port.

now i flashed " Z1c_DooMLoRD_AdvStkKernel_FW-114_v01.img " .. tried to reboot but it runs in reboot loop .. what is the solution for that ?
I'm with @XperienceD on this - it's time to pause and do some more reading and research.
That custom kernel you just flashed - what firmware is it based on? It's a good idea to make sure that kernel is compatible with the base system firmware that is currently on your phone.
