[Q] Network RSSI indicator issue with integrated car kit - Huawei Ascend P6, Mate

Hi folks
I've spotted an issue with the P6 and the integrated car kit found in my Volvo S80. Everything connects up fine, phonebook, ringer etc, but I always get just a single bar of coverage showing on the RSSI indicator.
Tried VodaUK and ThreeUK SIMs, and all display the same issue. I know where we live we get full HSPA signal on both networks, so that's not a problem. It never changes as I traverse the country either.
Has anyone else seen this?

anyways ive ordered a replacemnet handset and it arrives today at 2pm so will report back if porblem is still there.
i guess what i wanan know anyone else having this issue?????
signal issues ive heard of but this is just weird.
thanks
i just happend to have this problem today, signal would come back after switching to flight mode and back, strange oO
Try this.
I had what seemed to be this problem.
On some carriers, the One X has trouble changing between 2G and 3G / HSPA, especially if - like 3 - your carrier uses a third party for 2G signal.
Go into the operator menu by going to 'Call' and type the following:
*#*#4636#*#*
Go to 'Phone Information' and change 'Set Preferred Network Type' to WCDMA ONLY.
See if that helps.

[Q] Sporadic Loss of Network

My Note II (Sprint PCS) has problems regaining network contact when it has been in a "dead zone". It will display the "no service" icon even when I know I'm in a area where I should have a voice and / or data connection. If I reboot the phone, I will regain service until I drive out of service range. Then, it will once again display the "no service" icon until I reboot the phone again. This only seems to happen in areas where there is a weak signal, like across much of Wyoming on Interstate 80, for example. Another thing this phone does that I find odd, is that it will occasionally display the "no service" icon, but yet at the same time indicate I have a 3G connection and actually allow data transfer. I've never before been a situation where I had 3G data capability but no voice service. I've thought about rooting the phone to see if it fixes the issue, but I travel for a living and cannot risk having a phone that is not dependable.

[Q] Zooper Issue: dBm/ASU seems to be stuck

I have a widget which includes a cell signal strength progress bar. It worked fine initially, but now it seems to be "frozen". No matter how my signal strength changes, I get the same reading from zooper for dBm and ASU. It is stuck on -125 dBm and -6ASU (which is not correct for ASU anyway). Any idea on how to fix this? I think this happened after I went through an area that switched from 4G to 3G, and then back to 4G, but whatever the case, the zooper reading is not changing at all now from the above numbers.
update - Tasker seems to work, so that is what I am using for now. Possibly this is bug in Zooper similar to what some others have seen, although my numbers are different. It is strange however that it worked to start with.....

Only LTE signal. Lost coverage on GSM/UMTS. Very weird...

Hi!
I've searching around but I have'nt found a similar problem like mine: Phone drops coverage when sending or receiveing a standard call. So, in LTE mode all works fine. But when the phone has to switch to 2G/3G for the "standard" call, it drops signal and of course it can't call.
So in fact I've a Smartphone that can do whatever except standard calls (In fact when my operator enables VoLTE maybe I can call with LTE signal only).
It is a D855 32/3Gb, it always had offical firmwares and updates from LG and suddently one day the problem appeared.
Things I've tried without success:
Firstly I thought it was a hardware problem with antennas, so I changed three of them: (Antenna Flex Assembly, Coaxial Cable and Buzzer case that has antenna integrated inside).
Then I started thinking about a software problem, and I downgraded it, rooted, flashed LineageOS (I'm in love with this SO!!) and even changed several radio/Modem (started with 21c, tested 21A, 20P, without success).
Finally, I tweaked build.prop ro.telephony.default_network values without success too :crying::crying:
Has anybody seen this problem or do you know more things to do or to test?
Thank you!!

Mobile connection dropping randomly

Hi, I've been using the Xperia XZ2 Compact for the past week and have been experiencing an issue with mobile connectivity. Here is a copy from the thread in Sony support Forum.
I'm also experiencing this issue, but I get random disconnects and/or changes of carrier even when standing still. Here are some thing I also noticed and I hope we can get a fix soon:
- when I connect through national roaming I get a notification that it is disabled even though it's not and it disappears immediately.
- Sometimes when I'm connected to LTE+ I don't have any mobile data for short periods of time, but I think this issue is not related.
- When I lose signal nothing happens other than the signal bar changes to an outline but when I get randomly disconnected(or unregistered if you want to call it that way) I get a notification that my mobile carriers' network is unavailable.
I live in Poland and I'm using a virtual carrier called "mobile vikings" that uses the infrastructure of P4(commonly known as "Play") and allows roaming to t-mobile and "PLUS" but only on max H+ speeds. I tested my SIM on my previous phone - Xperia M5, and it's working just fine. I hope because it's happening to other ppl that it's a software issue that can be fixed in next updates. Is anyone also experiencing a similar issue? I can post my log I extracted if anyone wants to see it.

Same issue here, with Telenor Hungary. Usually I got this on low reception areas, where my previous Z5C still used to work. I'm "disconnected" right now, so I tried to search for mobile networks: my home network shows up as "Emergency calls only" for 2G/3G/LTE also.
I have tested my SIM now on 2 other phones and it works just fine. I also contacted my carrier and they reconfigured my number in their system(something like a reboot for your number). Now I'm 100% sure it's the phone's fault. Sony needs to at least acknowledge it.
