[Q] How to reroot? - HTC One V

My phone (primoU) somehow unroot itself. i detect them when i was about to use greenify apps which need rooting to work but the superuser wont let the apps do. i recheck with root checker and it said my phone is unroot. help!

Do you have a custom recovery installed?
If you do, you can reflash SuperSu.
Download this and put it on your sdcard.
You can go into recovery and reflash it.

4.3 or 4.4.2?
If you have a custom recovery, flash through it
If you are completly stock (stock recovery, s-on, 4.4.2) you cant.
You dont need root to flash a rom, just custom recovery (twrp or cwm).

If your phone is Locked and S-ON, use firewater
http://firewater-soff.com/
If your phone is already unlocked and S-OFF flash twrp recovery and just flash the rom you want
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2416431
It might be a good Idea to read up on these before you attempt it.
also don not take the 4.4.2 OTA or you'll be stuck without root or S-OFF.

Flashing S3V3N's ROM

I can't flash clockworkmod recovery provided on that page. I install the .apk then flash recovery and then reboot recovery but it just does a normal reboot. I saw there is TWRP recovery. Can I flash the ROM through TWRP? I asked on the ROM page but nobody told me a solution. Does someone have a clue why I can't flash clockworkmod recovery or if I can flash it through TWRP recovery?
Would be helpful to give some information as Most variants have a locked boot loader and can't install a recovery.

yes.
maybe you remove the permission for recovery installer from supersu app and grant new permission when you install recovery?!
S3v3n mod is for d855 running 10h stock only.
You need first to root device using purple drake lite, then install CWM IPK and then run it from same IPK,then having s3v3n mod on Device storage, select install zip, aroma installer starts you select options and install.

I rooted it with stump. Does it make a difference?
I managed to make it work. I re-rooted my phone with purple drake and now the recovery is installed  waiting for the 2.0 version now of the ROM

[Q] [IMPORTANT] Is there any way I can root htc one m8 Lolipop 5.0?

Someone if you know and tested it, can I root my htc one m8 device having the new firmware updated 5.0.1 lolipop??
Please anwser and if there is a way please send a link
THANKS A LOTTT!!
It's exactly the same as before.
Look for how do I root here,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2711073
You unlock bootloader. Flash a custom recovery... I suggest twrp. It will ask you when you exit if you want to root. Say yes.
Boot into android, install supersu if it or superuser aren't there already. (from play store)
Or just flash recovery . Install a rom , likely rooted already.
?

thanks for that but when I did it in my phone it says su binary out of date! what can I do now?
Can you explain everything you did, beginning to end. And exactly when/where you get that message?
I had already TWRP in my phone so I download your files. Opened the recovery and I did from there (install). When it finished rebooted the device and after that when i did a root check it said root access not properly install or sometihing

Open the SuperSU app, and it will prompt you to install the binaries. Select yes, of course.

If it asks to update with a "normal" and "twrp/cwm" option... Try normal first. The other option if that doesn't work.

I tried the normal it didnt work, how I do the second, I pressed it but nothing happened!
I don't think you have twrp installed anymore, or not properly. You've flashed it with fastboot, since updating to lollipop? How did you update to lollipop?
Normal, I never had root before. Upgraded my phone to 5.0 and then i tried to root it
Rooted fine here with normal method. Just had to update super su.
OK, can you please walk us through exactly what steps to Root you took. From the beginning. And we'll see what happened.
?
i havent been able to find the option to disable fast boot so i havent even tried yet but if anyone has let me know

That's all I know to do. I know this won't help you now but, next time make a nandroid as soon as you flash twrp, before you do any mods at all. Maybe someone else with more knowledge can help you. Good luck, I hope you get it fixed!

That doesn't sound right. After you flashed the nandroid, if you are not rooted twrp may have asked you if you want to install supersu. Did you swipe to install? I would try reflashing the nandroid and make sure not to install supersu in twrp.
if you're going to return it, why not just flash RUU back to stock.

that's a pretty exotic manner to root your device lol (I guess you meant TWRP and not Twerk because I don't really want to think you twerked in front of your phone and gained root privilege instantly, no one is that attractive)
Did you flashed the Magisk zip? What was the zip you flashed?

Wow I think you need to reset the whole thing... Do a backup before, and flash the stock rom with twrp. I'm not specialized in unbricking phones, I know that's an option but someone with more experience may know a way around the reset. Do some reserch on how to unbrick and if you don't find anything then just wipe and flash the stock rom (or a custom rom)
